How to call the event handler of other application....?

Hi,
I am working on two applications.
Now i need to call a Event handler from my first application to my second application.
I need a same process in this aaplication also. So i need to call the event handler of that application.
So, Kindly tell me about the process to call the even handler of another application.

Unfortunately, as far as i know, i should tell you that : you cann't call the event-hanlder in another Application if the 2 applicaions are run in different IE browser...
If your 2 component are used in the same IE browser, maybe you can make one interface event, and trigger it in one component, then handle the event in the second component(by reimplemented the former)...
However, from your description, i think, you want to trigger the event handler in another application in different IE Browser...
So, very upset..We cann't communicate between the 2 applications, as far as i know...

How to restrict the Users to access other application URL on same machine?

We have one Oracle 10g AS server, hostname "abc", this server having two services named "DSS" and "RBL".
Our requriement is how we can restrict the URL "http://abc.xyz.com:7777/forms/frmservlet?config=rbl" from user access, because both DSS and RBL having same URL.
Can we change port 7777 for RBL service?

Take a look at sample program BCALV_EDIT_03. (Find string "register ENTER" in the program to see how to register)
Basically you have to Register edit events using method call REGISTER_EDIT_EVENT and then write a handler method for event DATA_CHANGED..
If you are using a REUSE..GRID fm then first get the grid reference using function module GET_GLOBALS_FROM_SLVC_FULLSCR and then repeat the above procedure..

Repetitive call of event handler method

 i ve some 8 screens with alv grid controls on each...i'm using
same subroutine for event handling for all the controls...the problem
is whenever i navigate from 1 to the other and return back to the same,
after data change, the event handler method is getting called as many times
i ve navigated....for toolbar actions i used befor user command event and
overcame but for data changed i got struck... Plz tel me the reason and how can we avoid.....

Goto transaction SM62 and in there to BckProcEvents tab. There you can create the events.
You just need to specify the name and Description of an event.

click the EVENTS tab, define an event.
click the METHODS tab, define a method to trigger/ raise the event
define one more method as an event handler method for the event.
for a method to be an event handler, click on the detail view,
select the check box Event Handler for give the classname where the event is defined and the event name, click on Change button.
event can be in the same class or different from that of the event handler method.
don't forget to register the event handler method in the program.
click the code button of ur trigger method(meth2 in my example) and write there,
raise event evt1.
now your class is ready.
now in se38 program,
declare a reference variable to ur class,
create an object,set the handler for ur event,
call the trigger method

create object oref.
set handler oref->meth1 for oref. handler method

How to call the transaction VL02N in the userexit.

Hi all,
 I am doing code in the userexit SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE of the include MV50AFZ1. I'm doing some validations there. If the validations fail, i should not allow the user to post the goods. Instead i need to make the user to go to the screen VL02N once again and do the posting once again. But i dont know how to call the same screen VL02N once again through the userexit.

How to call the attachment(application attachment) in RTF

Hi Friends,
can any one help me, how to call the attached document in XMl Publisher(RTF).
The attachement is done in application for "order Management". We have design the xml file from "oracle reports"(RDF) and designing the layout in XML Publisher(RTF).
Please help me how can i handle this in RTF.

If you mean where are attachments stored so you can get the contents, see my blog post here:

With regards to getting them into RTF layout, it may depend on what type of attachment they are - short/long text/URLs will be fine, file attachments (LOBs) may depend on the contents - certain types of images will be fine, other file type attachments (like PDF, DOC, etc) I'm not sure - on my list of things to look at.

How to update 1 Event Handler from different SAP systems?

Hi experts.
I created an Event Handler via SAP 4.7 Purchase Order.
I now need to update this same Event Handler with a control parameter from SAP 6.0.
I was surprised to see that when I updated the Purchase Order in 6.0, EM created a new Event Handler!
Guess I'm missing something obvious...

Yes it's the same PO in 4.7 and 6.0. We implemented (upgraded) the ERP system to 6.0. The Event Handler was orginally created from 4.7, but now we need to update it from 6.0.
So the Event Handler (tracking id, control parms, EE etc) can only be updated from the logical system the Eh was created in (4.7), and I can only send Event Messages (Events) from 6.0. Correct?
Any thought about how to approach this situation and any future upgrades? Maybe I need to write a conversion program...

How to send the Event Listener arguments in AS3?

In MXML

but AS3
var btn:Button = new Button();
btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, clickHandler, flase,
0, true);
only this kind of AS3 event only added, any other possibility
to pass the arguments to handler function.

If you define an event listener inline (inside the MXML tag),
you can add any number of parameters as long as the listener
function's signature agrees with that number of parameters.
If you add a listener with the addEventListener() method (in
ActionScript), you cannot pass any additional parameters to the
listener function, and that listener function can declare only a
single argument, the Event object (or one of its subclasses).
To pass additional parameters to listener functions defined
in AS, you must define the parameters in the listener function and
then call some other method passing it the additional parameters in
the call from the listener.
You can also define your own custom events, and then you are
free to define what args your event listeners take, and access the
data from the event object.
