how to caluculate buffer size for import exports,here is the formula but how can we use if there is a 100 of tables and datatypes,is the any query to find out rows_in_array ,maximum_row_size total schema and datbase

The behavior is explained in Bug 4304609 .
You will encounter ORA-29400 & KUP-04020 errors if the RECORDSIZE clause in the access parameters for the ORACLE_LOADER access driver is larger than 10MB and you are loading records larger than 10MB. Which means their is a another limitation on read size of a record which is termed as granule size. If the default granule size is less then RECORDSIZE it limits the size of the read buffer to granule size.
Use the pxxtgranule_size parameter to change the size of the granule to a number larger than the size specified for the read buffer.You can use below query to determine the current size of the granule.

KSPPITY PARAMETER_TYPE,
KSPFTCTXVL PARAMETER_VALUE,

There is no 'ideal' or recommended value for pxxtgranule_size parameter, it is safe to increase it to work around this particular problem. You can set this parameter using ALTER SESSION/SYSTEM command.
SQL> alter system set "_px_xtgranule_size"=10000;

How to set image size for importing photos from a digital camera

I'm using Iphoto 6 and am a novice user of my new digital camera. The camera is set to HQ image quality. Initially when I imported photos from the camera into IPhoto, the images were very large (over 1 meg) and produced good quality 4X6 prints. Now when I import photos from the same camera still set to HQ image quality, the photos are very small (less than 100 kb) after being imported into IPhoto. I think I must have changed some kind of setting in IPhoto that affects the size of an imported image, but I can't find where that is or how to change it back so that the size is not changed when imported. Can someone please help me with this? Thanks!

Dave, thanks for clarifying Toad's response for me - I was just too ignorant to connect the dots from his responses. As you said, there were 2 versions - 1 in the original folder and 1 in data; the original folder had the photos that were 1 mb. We must have pulled from that folder previously to print photos not realizing they existed in 2 places. So when we found these thumbnail photos, we just thought they were the real thing. Where can you go to learn about the struction and hierarchy of the photos in terms of what Iphoto does to an image when you import it? Is it in Iphoto help somewhere? Thanks so much for your help with this, and you too Toad for leading me down the path.

you're looking at, somewhere in a folder called
"Data" in iPhoto Library? That 56k sounds about the
right size for a thumbnail.

You can tune your SAP buffer by the statistics of Hit Ratio and swap occuring. There should not be no swap on your system. you can adjust your buffer value by the optimizing the both value.

How do I set size for Facebook export?

I was recently contacted by a potential client regarding some images from an event I covered. I had loaded some images to Facebook using the Facebook loader button, thus creating an album online. I went to look at the album, and it allowed me to download the image. The image size far exceeded the resolution I place on the web (2048 x 13xx) and would allow a client to simply download the image and print the image (5.6" x 8.5" @240dpi) as often as they want.
I'd like to set the uploaded size to 600 x 400 pixels, in order to limit the size image that can be downloaded and printed. How do I go about this, or do I simply have to export to a folder, THEN upload from the folder to Facebook?

I believe Aperture is automatically resizing the uploads for Facebook to stay within specs, going through an optimization procedure. That procedure may be more focused on file size via the compression setting, so the number of pixels may not be as altered as you may expect or desire. I don't know any control that you can exercise via the Share command. Nothing other than exporting first to a folder.

If I understand you correctly, yes, you could write a plugin that imported an HTML file into Illustrator. You could also write one that exported to HTML. I'm not sure how easy it would be, and you won't find any HTML parsing help in the Illustrator SDK, but it's quite easy to create artwork with the SDK.

Maximum file size for importing into Premiere Pro CS6

I'm considering recording raw video, no compression at 720p, 30 fps for 20-30 min. This woudl result in a file that is close to 80 Gbytes. I'm wondering what the maximum file size for importing into premiere Pro is and if I need to split this file up into smaller pieces. Any recommendations on how I may deal with uncompressed raw video that is pretty long in length?

There is bound to be some limit somewhere in the program, but you should be well below that. The biggest issue might be whether your computer is up to the task of handling it. If you will post your computer specs., someone will give you comments on that aspect.

NT - How to embed the date for the export output file?

I want to know how to embed a date for the export file on Windows NT?
Example :
In Unix you can use a shell variable and attach to the file like exp file=exp_prod_$A,
where $A will have the system date, My output will be like exp_prod_10012000.dmp.
I want to know how to do the above on NT.

7.3 has not been a current release for about 10 years.
It's probably been that long since I've used this technique, but i think it should work.
You should consider welcoming your system to the 21st century by upgrading to a supported release ;-)
If you used split to chop up your export file, use cat or dd to reassemble it.
So, something like this:
mknod bk.dmp p
cat xaa xab xac xad xae xaf xag xah xai > bk.dmp &
imp SYSTEM/$PASSWD parfile=imp_bk.parfile
rm bk.dmp
$ cat imp_bk.parfile
file=bk.dmp
log=imp.log

A word of caution is in order regarding changing from facing to non-facing and back again. If you have overridden master page items, you'll get a second, non-overridden copy on all the even-number pages when that half of the master page is re-applied. This applies to master text frames which override automatically when text flows into them as well as to objects you manually override. I think you'll find this particular technique also only works for master text frames, whereas the Layout Adjustment should work in all situations where frames snap to guides.

I used to partition my HD and that sets a hard limit by partition, but by user? I don't think it can be done.

I need to find out the buffer size for SQL statements in jave/JDBC because I need to insert or update a field that could be up to 4KB in size.

I'm not sure that I follow the question; I'm not sure which buffer size you're referring to.
If you have a field that can store up to 4k worth of data, you would create a VARCHAR2(4000) column in the Oracle database (assuming it is character data) or a BLOB column (if the data is binary). Either of those two fields can be populated from JDBC.

5. after IMPORT FROM MEMORY ID <id> , you can use sy-subrc to check the existance of the cluster ID. here sy-subrc is not used to check whether the Import was successful or not.

Hi,
You can increase the buffer size by using the property bufferTime of NetStream Object you are using. For eg: if ns is your NetStream Object then it can be done by ns.bufferTime=<desired value>.
