How to catch invalid XML inside orchestration

I have an Passthrough Pipeline and passing an invalid XML , I am unable to capture inside an orcestration.
I get the error -
The published message could not be routed because no subscribers were found.
If i pass valid XML orchestration picks up and process it.    Is there any way to capture this in orchestration
Regards
Suresh

I believe your orchestration will have a Typed Schema, therefore the subscription of Orchestration will be as below-
ReceivePortID == [Port ID] and MessageType == [MessageType of your msg at first Receive Shape]
So when you are using XML Receive Pipeline it promotes the MessageType element in the incoming message
which helps in satisfying the above filter.
However if you use PassThrough pipeline it doesn't touches the incoming message at all and thus no MessageType
was not promoted so the above filter condition is not met.
If you want to receive Untyped Message in Orchestration you will have to create a msg of type System.XML.XMLDocument
and assign it to first receive shape.
This will generate filter condition as- ReceivePortID
== [Port ID], without MessageType, which will allow orchestration to subscribe your message

  • How to catch invalid emails & How to send to multiple emails

    This is a long two-part question.
    Part One:
    I would like to catch invalid emails within the JavaMail code and send the valid emails. I am using the following code to do this. The problem I am running into is when there is a valid email, sometimes it will be caught within the code without being sent and it will show up as a validunsentemail. I have set sendpartial to true, so this shouldn't be happening. Also, is there a way to check if a domain name is in existence before sending the email?
    Part Two:
    For testing purposes, I would like to mix valid and invalid emails for TO, but I don't know how to send to more than one email using an array. I have looked at other posting on the forum of how to do this, but I keep getting errors when I try other's suggestions. Maybe somebody will be able to help with this problem if they see the code below.

    I am working on exactly the same problem. What you need to do is use the destination mail server to send mails. For example: address
    [email protected] is an invalid user.
    Using normal way you wont be able to catch invalid mail box error.
    If you use mail server of jabcreative.com to send email then you will get an unknown user exception.
    To find mail server of jabcreative.com you will have to do MX LookUp on DNS entry

  • How to catch error message inside a variable?

    Hi,
    I'm trying to catch the error message inside a variable using this this command below:-
    <%=odiRef.getPrevStepLog("MESSAGE")%>
    Could you please tell me what is the right approach to capture the error message inside a variable.
    Thanks
    Anindya

    Hi Bhabani,
    I have done this and select an oracle schema.But the variables only captures the (null).Please look into this.You must have one step prior to this refresh variable. Then only it can get the status as given below.
    Returns the one-letter code indicating the status with which the previous step terminated. The state R (Running) is never returned.
    D: Done (success)
    E: Error
    Q: Queued
    W: Waiting
    M: Warning
    If you want the complete error details then you will face issues in case of multi line message. For this best option would be jython variable.Could please provide me some idea how to use this jython variable.I will update you on this soon
    Thanks

    Re: How to catch malformed xml using error handling mechanism in from a proxy? Had a solution for similar issue. It appears that in-case of malformed XML, $body will not be populated with faulty xml snippet. One way out of this solution is, design your service as Text service and create another service isXML as explained in my above reply.

  • Convert invalid xml characters to HTML-Entity

    Hi,
    How can i convert invalid XML characters like ,,, . . . to the HTML- Entity &auml &uuml &ouml ?
    Is there any Method or class who can handle an input string and transform the invalid characters?
    Or is there another way to mask this characters so that an XML parser do not throw an error when parsing the document.
    Best regards,
    Michael

    Ok sorry, I'll give you more details what i want to do and where i have the problems.
    I have the following xml string:
    <font family="Times New Roman" size="14" color="#333333">This is a sample Text</font>
    The xml-string can contain any characters because the content is from a text pane where the user can type in any characters.
    I use the DOM parser to parse this input string to get the attributes and the text content.
    And thats my problem, how can i make sure that this string wont throw any exceptions when i parse it with DOM?
    Parsing the string with the follwing code:
    public XMLElement parse(String sourceString)
            //create a new xml element
            XMLElement xmlElement = new XMLElement();
            //create a new document
            DocumentBuilder builder = build();
            //now parse the string into the document
            InputStream is = new ByteArrayInputStream(sourceString.getBytes());
            Document document = null;
            try
                document = builder.parse(is);
            catch (SAXException e)
                System.out.println("SAXError while parsing the document");
                e.getMessage();
                //no valid document
                return null;
            catch (IOException e)
                System.out.println("IO Error while parsing the document");
                e.getMessage();
                //no valid document
                return null;
            //get the element
            org.w3c.dom.Element element = document.getDocumentElement();
            if (element != null)
                xmlElement.setNodeName(element.getNodeName());
                xmlElement.setNodeValue(element.getTextContent());
                //attributes defined?
                int length = element.getAttributes().getLength();
                //get the attributes, if defined
                for (int i = 0; i < length; i++)
                    xmlElement.addAttribute(
                            element.getAttributes().item(i).getNodeName(),
                            element.getAttributes().item(i).getTextContent());
            return xmlElement;
        } XMLElement is my own class.
    The builder:
    private DocumentBuilder build()
            DocumentBuilder docBuilder = null;
            try
                DocumentBuilderFactory factory = DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance();
                docBuilder = factory.newDocumentBuilder();
            catch(ParserConfigurationException pce)
                System.out.println("Error while creating an DocumentBuilder");
                pce.getMessage();

  • How to catch up Exception message?

    i have a question while using try{ ... }catch{ ... } clauses. for when update, delete, databse, there might be error occurred. all to often i do not deal with the message, only if to check log when serious problem i have to find it out; but i hope to learn how if i am able to display message of my own while erro occurrs. for instance, when falling into SQLException, originaly i might just utilize
    }catch(SQLException e){
    e.printStackTrace();
    is it possible for me to catch up message inside the printStackTrace that may happen while errors appearing? (or only down to catch{} clause be the last deadline that i am able to use? because i hope i am able to capture error code like ora-1234 and tranlate it into messages that user, who doesn't know too much about pc, can understand easily while reporting bug; and not just saying "we have problem here!")
    that is, if 'A' situation popping out, i hope to direct it to error page with special message shown. so does the same error page with different message specified while 'B' situation found out!
    any suggestions would be appreciated~
    thanks in advice,

    printStackTrace isn't obligatory. It's basically what you do with an exception when you don't have anything more specific to do with it.
    You can certainly catch a specific exception at any level, including inside another try {} block.
    Even having caught an exception you can decide that you don't want to handle it at this point in the code, and throw it again.
    You might do:
    try {
         try {
           ... statment which migh cause a particular database exception
            } catch(SQLException e) {
            if(e.getMessage().startsWith("ORA-1232")) {
              .. do somthing usefull
             } else
            throw e;   // the particular SQL exception was unexpected so go on and crash
       catch(Exception e) {
         e.printStackTrace();   // unexpected program failure

  • How to catch SAP application errors in BPM.

    Hi,
    I have a IDOC to Soap Sync Scenario where I send the message to a Webservice. I have used a BPM since we need to catch the resposne of this message and map it to a RFC. For ex if I get a success resposne I need to map success if not than I need to catch the error and map it to the RFC. Now here in some cases like if the target system (webservice) is down than XI raises a sap application error:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes" ?>
    - <!--  Inbound Message
      -->
    - <SAP:Error xmlns:SAP="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Message/30" xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" SOAP:mustUnderstand="1">
      <SAP:Category>XIAdapterFramework</SAP:Category>
      <SAP:Code area="MESSAGE">GENERAL</SAP:Code>
      <SAP:P1 />
      <SAP:P2 />
      <SAP:P3 />
      <SAP:P4 />
      <SAP:AdditionalText>com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.DeliveryException: Connection refused (errno:239)</SAP:AdditionalText>
      <SAP:ApplicationFaultMessage namespace="" />
      <SAP:Stack />
      <SAP:Retry>M</SAP:Retry>
      </SAP:Error>
    Normally XI stops the process in these cases and does not proceed to the next step but I need to catch this message and map the content in the AdditionalText to the target RFC. Can anyone let me know how to catch this SAP Application Error in BPM and map it to the RFC.
    Thanks,
    Bhargav

    Hi Gaurav,
    As I have mentioned I need to catch the application error in the BPM. If you see the discussion that is mentioned after the blog you have mentioned it is stated that the fault messages or the application error cannot be caught in BPM.
    In the blog that you stated we can catch the fault message and map it to a message structure but only to that extent after that it would stop the BPM process at that step but would not proceed further as shown in the screenshot given in the blog it would fail as "application error restart not possible".
    I need to proceed further and capture this error to an RFC Structure and call a proxy.
    Here after the error it does not proceed to the next step.
    Thanks,
    Bhargav

  • How can I access xml document from javascript whithin a JSP page

    how can I access xml document from javascript whithin a JSP page?
    I have a JSP that receives an XML document from a JavaBean, so I can access it within the entire JSP, but I need to access it from the javascript inside the JSP... and I have no idea how i can do this.
    Thanks in advance!

    The solution would only work on MS IE browsers, as other browsers do not support an XML DOM.
    It can be done, but you would be stuck with using the Microsoft broswer. If that is acceptable, I have some example code, and a book recommendation.

  • How to catch SQLException from a session bean

    Hello
    I have a stateless session bean which has a method to persist an entity (User) in the database. In User there is a foreign key (addressId) from another entity (Address). While i was persisting User, i entered a value of addressId which was not present in the Address table. Since there was a foreign key constraint on this field in User i got the following exception:
    8:49:49,421 ERROR [JDBCExceptionReporter] ORA-02291:
    integrity constraint (FK_USER_ADD) violated - parent key not
    found 18:49:49,421 ERROR [AbstractFlushingEventListener]
    Could not synchronize database state with session
    org.hibernate.exception.ConstraintViolationException: could
    not insert: [com.User] at org.hibernate.exception.SQLStateConverter.convert(SQLState
    Converter.java:71)So i placed the persist code inside a try block and was catching all the exceptions thrown by persist() method. But these exception are not caught. Instead the exception is sent to the Client end and printed on the client console.
    Any clue on how to catch the ConstraintViolationException in the session bean?
    Thanks

    The problem is that the qry is not executed until you leave your method, so, the exception is catched by the Container. You should issue a entityManager.flush(); rigth "before" leaving the method and you are going to catch all the exceptions given

  • Invalid xml decl while creating template for a report created in BIP

    Hi
    I am in the process developing a report - extracting data from an xmltype column. I defined my query - as simple as (for now):
    select xmlcol.getclobval() from table1
    The way information is stored in each xmltype column is with the xml declaration - something like
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <rootelem>
    <a>adjaghd</a>
    <b>adjaghd</b>
    <c>adjaghd</c>
    </rootelem>
    So when I get the output, I have the declaration (...xml version...)for each row returned. I am assuming that being the reason when I try to create the template in work for this report, it given me Invalid XML Decl. How can I extract from xmltype column without getting the header information for each row?

    Anyone can answer this question please?
