How to change power state in a Service Profile Template

I'd like to change the setting "Power State" in a Service Profile Template. While I can change nearly every other aspect of the template, I can't find this in the UCS Manager GUI. Is this an immutable decision while creating the template? Can I change it via the CLI?

Hi Joernclausen,
What is the firmware version of your UCS?
From the CLI try the following and let me know if it works.
Go into the FI CLI and perform the steps below, ensure to enter your own template_name and select appropriate type of template followed by setting the power up or down
sj-ucs-r13-mon-A# scope org
sj-ucs-r13-mon-A /org # enter service-profile template_name initial-template
sj-ucs-r13-mon-A /org/service-profile # power up
sj-ucs-r13-mon-A /org/service-profile* # commit-buffer
sj-ucs-r13-mon-A /org/service-profile # power down
sj-ucs-r13-mon-A /org/service-profile* # commit-buffer
You may also be able to change the power state from the individual service profiles
Go to the service profile and use "Change Initial Power State" button for modifying the desired-power value.

  • How to change path of Users Terminal Services Profile for multiple AD users on server 2003?

Hello experts. I am working on a file server migration. All data has been migrated, I am currently working on redirecting users to the new file server. I
am able to select multiple users at once in ADUC -> right-click -> properties -> profile and here I can change the home folder and roaming profile path for each all users to point towards the new file server.
The issue I have run in to is that we have roaming profiles for terminal services users. So, there are hundreds of users that have their terminal services profile
configured in AD -> Right-click user (one at a time) -> properties -> terminal services profile. Here, the profile path is configured for each user as \\OLDserver\Profiles\%username%
and I need to change it to \\NEWserver\profiles\%username%.
I know that you can configure this path via group policy, I set up a GPO; Computer / Administrative Templates / Windows Components / Terminal Services / “Set Path
for TS Roaming Profiles” as \\NEWserver\profiles and applied this GPO to an OU containing the TS servers.
The problem is, the GPO is not working... When I log in to the TS and add a document to My Documents, it is still saving under \\OLDserver\profiles\Username.
So, the settings in AD are trumping the GPO I believe. What is the best way to accomplish my goal? Thanks in advance!

    > to change it to \\NEWserver\profiles\%username%.
That is "profile" in opposite to...
    > add a document to My Documents, it is still saving under
    > \\OLDserver\profiles\Username.
...this one which is Folder Redirection and has NOTHING to do with
    server based profiles.
    > So, the settings in AD are trumping the GPO I believe.
No, it isn't. When you do not enable FR and you access "Documents", you
will never see an UNC path but the local c:\users\xyz\documents folder.

  • Black screen upon wake from sleep when I change power state while in sleep

    Hi,
I'm having this problem where my MacbookPro won't always wake from sleep.
OSX is 10.6.3 and fully updated.
I've done a lot of troubleshooting, and I can now replicate the issue 100%:
1 - Put the MacbookPro to sleep by closing lid
2 - Change power source (from plugged-in to battery or vice versa)
3 - open lid - MacbookPro will wake, but stays at black screen and is unresponsive.
Only if I change power state while sleeping will this issue show. Anyone else experincing this issue, and anygot got a clue on what to do?
    regards,
    Lasse

I've seen the same issue after upgrading to 10.6.3. I have a one year old MacBook Pro. I would have the screen be black after coming back from sleep or hibernate (tried both).
The workaround I found is to close the lid -almost- all the way and then immediately open it back up again, like I am catching the Mac going back to sleep and then changing my mind. For whatever reason, this has been reliably solving my issue for the last couple weeks reliably.
Only other oddity I noticed is that immediately after upgrading OS X told me that my one year old battery needed to go in for servicing...
Anyway, now all looks right with the world assuming you don't mind a quick close/open cycle.. Lovely...

  • How to change the responsible in a service order

    Hi.
Does anyone know how to change the responsible in a service order?
    I am working on CRM7
    Thanks
    Rob

    Hi Radek
It falls in to an endless loop, cause the 'CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN' calls the BAdI 'ORDER_SAVE', because of that I have to find the right place to call the function 'CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN'.
I have done an example calling the 'CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN' out of 'ORDER_SAVE' using hard coded values and it works.
    Thanks

  • How to change text + links in footer of existing template

    Hello,
I need to change the text and links on the template footer that goes to all TABs. (Home, Articles, About Bluemont, BCA, Contact Us).The file is named NavigationBlank.dwt."
This footerwas created to link visitors to our "join or contribute" page on another site. Now I want to stop using that external site and build the capacity to take memberships within the BluemontVA.org site itself. However the template footer can't be changed so easily as text on a page.
I am webmaster for a local nonprofit (web address =  www.BluemontVA.org), but work on a website I inherited. It is a wonderful design, but I don't fully understand it. I have not worked with templates before.
I have read O'Reilly on "Adding a basic editable region"  in a template, but need further help.
    A couple questions worry me:
How much damage may I have done already by trying? For example, I do seem to have removed the old text/links and added a new text message on the NavigationBlank.dwt page -- but these changes do not show up on the other TAB pages.
Also, when I place the cursor n the design side  it no longer tracks to the corresponding spot on the code view. (the cursor shows up in code view way above where it is supposed to be by the text). This is true for the home page and also for several pages I took a look at.
Can I follow instructions to change the template from any of the pages on which it appears? Or do I have to be at NavigationBlank.dwt?
Thanks for any help or advice you can provide.

    I'm confused.
Working With Dreamweaver Templates (.dwt files).
    PART 1
        1. Create a page with all the sitewide elements (common header, footer, sidebar,  CSS styles, etc..) that you will need for your project.   This requires some careful pre-planning even for small web sites.
       2. Validate your code & test this prototype page in all major browsers.
       3. When you're completely satisfied with the page layout, SaveAs Template.   DW will save this as a .dwt file in a site folder called Templates.
       4. DW will ask you to add Editable Regions for stuff that will change from page to page.   Do this and SAVE.
       5. Close your Template.dwt file.
    PART 2
       1. File > New Page > from Template.  Select the template you wish to use.  Hit OK.
       2. This is a child page.  An exact duplicate of your Template however you can only edit content within editable regions.  Everything else is locked.
       3. SaveAs index.html (your home page) or some-other-filename.html.
    PART 3
Repeat PART 2 for each additional site page required.
    PART 4
        1. Open your main TEMPLATE file and add a navigation menu with links to your site pages.  Do not put this into an Editable Region!  If you do it won't show up on child pages.
       2. SAVE.
       3. DW will ask if you want to populate changes to child pages.  Hit yes.
       4. Publish all site pages to your server.
    PART 5
If you should ever need to edit your TEMPLATE .dwt file, Repeat PART 4.

  • How to change appraiser / reviewer after creating the appraisal template

    Hi All,
Once the Appraisal template created, if we have changes in appraiser / reviewer, how we can change the new names in the appraisal template in standard (other than T.Code: Phap_admin --> Change header data).
For eg., we have created a document for PERNR 1 on Apr 1st for 01.04.2014 to 31.03.2015 with appraiser as Mr. XYZ, on 01.05.2014 Mr. XYZ left and Mr. PQR replaced that position. In this case, how we can replace appraiser name for PERNR 1 as Mr. PQR in the appraisal template.
    Please suggest.
    Regards,
    Venkat Nagam

    Koushik,
Depending on the amount of customizations that you did, it may be easier to use the wizard to re-create the master-detail form & report.
If you still want to give it a go:
Assuming that you created the 2-page Master Detail report & form:
On the first page, you will have to chage the SQL to reflect the new table name. Once you do that, you'll have to re-create the link on the EMPID column.
On the second page, you'll need to do some more work. You'll have to change both Page Rendering Processes: Fetch Row from EMP and Get Next or Previous Primary Key. You'll then need to change the Page Processing Process: Process Row of EMP. Also, ensure that you have a proper Foreign Key relationship between EMP2 and DEPT (or your detail table).
    Thanks,

  • How to change hover state on spry menu dropdowns?

I've spent 4 hours making changes to the style sheet. I cannot figure out how to make the drop-down menu background change when you mouseover. The text color changes, but the background doesn't. I keep making changes to the stylesheet, and sometimes I see no difference.
Also... trying to change the font color on the main menu text. Style sheet LOOKS right, but doesn't display any change.
ALSO, my border is wider than the submenus. They are both set to 15ems. Maybe I don't understand ems??? I appreciate all your help out there! Sorry for not taking out all comments from code...

The good news is, Spry components generate their own CSs files so you know where to start when customizing. From there you can either go into the CSS file itself, or use the CSS styles panel in Dreamweaver.
if you're looking within the CSS file, you first need to find the block the styles the particular element you want to change, and tweak the values. However, if any of the attributes are inheriting their states from a parent rule, then you need to add that attribute to override the parent setting. So that means making sure you're using the right attribute and getting the syntax right.
If you use the CSS panel, select all, find you way to the correct style sheet, expand it and find the rule you need to change. You can set these parameters in the area underneath, or just double click the rule in the upper tree and display the CSS rules dialog. This is my favorite as it displays exactly what is contained in the style sheet in visual form. You can change values easily and add new attributes knowing that it will write the correct syntax. This should make it very easy to add hover states for the background and text, dimensions for the submenus and borders. For sizes and borders, I prefer pixels, but you can also add borders per side of the containing box - it doesn't have to be the same border all the way around.

  • How to change power settings?

My G series Windows 8, 64-bit laptop keeps going to sleep after about 2 minutes while plugged in.  I changed the power settings via Windows 8 (by personalizing desktop and / or clicking on battery).  But it still keeps happening.  Is there another setting I need to change specific to Lenovo?  It's annoying as all get out, and frankly a little ridiclous I need to waste time tracking this down.
    Thank you.

There are a couple of free utilities that purport to intercept the power key, but neither of them work for me with Mavericks and a 15" Retina MacBook Pro:
    PowerKey
PowerBlock – I thought it might work with Mavericks contrary to what the site says because someone posted in another forum implying that it works with Mavericks.
AFAIK, Keyboard System Preferences cannot change the keyboard shortcut for the power key.
It'd be great if Apple gave us a way to prevent accidental Sleep, which can be a killer when doing something mission critical. I'm pondering removing the physical key altogether…

    selected as "Disable"
    2. "Service Configuration" -> "Globalization Settings" -> "Charsets Supported by Each Locale"
    Add locale "locale=ru|charset=UTF-8;ISO-8859-1"
Is it possible to do it from command line?
I think it should be amadmin command...

  • How to change "send statements" to each customer

    Hi,
Currently we are using send_statements attribute through concurrent request to change appropriatively for each customer. We are unable to group them into different classes and that's why we are following this approach.
What I am thinking is, instead of concurrent request, I want to make visible this attribute in the customer form itself, so that users by themselves can change this value instead of coming to support team.
How can we enable this "send_statements" attribute for each customer in the form itself?
    Thanks,

How can I change the theme (background picture, etc) for the default profile, so that when new users log in and get a new profile created, they get a different theme than the one they currently receive?

    Hi,
If you want to get a different theme for new users, based on my understanding, it’s not easy, we can load the specific theme for all user because we can control OS to load this specific theme file.
The default location of theme file is:
    C:\Windows\Resources\Themes
To configure OS load different theme for different user, I think this cannot be controlled by a registry key. It’s complicated to make OS choose different theme pack for different user, even more, the theme pack files are limited.
Here is some different but similar discussion about changing theme programmatically:
