How to change std. sap programs?

Hi,
I am a developer in HR ABAP. Recently I came across a program MP000040, which is a part of an infotype screen.When i tried to change this program, it said " R3TR generated, changes possible" and i was able to modify it..but since this being a std program, how I was able to do that and what is the meaning of this message? can someone pls clarify?

I have to change the standard SAP program SAPLFSKB screen 100 to add custom fields...i looked into OSS notes and there is a note: 174413 that provides steps to add custom fields...but when i try to do this it doesnt let me do it...it says that request cannot be changed....do i have to use modification agent...if that is the case then how shud i proceed with this....so please provide me some inputs....

try going into edit->enhancement operations->create. this will allow up to add your customized field.

Change in Std SAP Program

BW Experts,
At my client I have changed a Std SAP program LRRSVF20. This was transported up all the way to production. Now that we did a Support pack upgrade in dev, This configuration is lost in development. What is the best approach to get it back. Reconfigure it which will give me a new transport request and retransport all the way till production. Or is there a better way.

You need to redo the changes and then transport it again.
Anyways as a Best Practice, don't change Std SAP programs. You can copy them to a Z or Y pgm and then modify them. Usually if you need to change them ask SAP for a correction and then insert/delete that in the program either by applying the note or using SNOTE.

Transaction associated with std SAP Program

Hi friends,
I have a custom transaction ZR01 and there is and associated abap program to this which is a std SAP program starting with GP3E*. This program although a std program has been stored as a local object. The report program has a few commented lines in the beginning of the report as follows
   user
   date
   time
   release
These lines get updated with the name of the last changed author and the date and time at which changes were made.
Now my doubt is under what circumstances does this comment line gets updated ?
I tried to make some changes in the transaction to see if there is any update happening but that did not have any effect.

I think, the commented lines about which you are asking are:
this is a development/modification log maintained manually by the last user. I mean, if you make these changes to this report using access key, you should (not necessarily) update this modification tag (may be as part of following some standards in your company) so as to provide this information: who was the last mofifier of this report and when it was last modified.
So, i think, there is no programming logic behind it. Thats also the reason, it didn't change when u modified it

You can do that using the method i have mentioned in
my earlier post to change the descrptions. Mostly these
will be used for Product Attributes in Material Master
to give meaningful names as per our business. You can
find the same if you go through the documentation
following the below path
IMG -> Sales & Distribution -> System Modifications ->
Create New Fields( without Condition Technique).

Does the file realm actually store the information redundantly? If so,
consider using a custom realm to map through to your security
implementation. Then you can cache / invalidate / etc. as desired.

Actually, I use JAAS security service, and my system has its own
authentication module. My program have to call Weblogic's
Authenticate.authenticate(env,subject);
method to get the "subject" object. So my system keep two copies's of the
secuirty information (username,password and group), one in weblogic and
another in my system.
That leads when I want to change the user password in my system, I have to
change the user password also in weblogic.

i have developed a user authentication program through mouse gesture dynamics.
My program identifies user by its mouse gesture.
now , i want to use this authentication program when windows boots, and users would be authenticated by my program

How to change standard SAP Calender

As per standard SAP when we press F4 on a Date field system provides a calender(as search help) on which we get Monday as the starting day of the week.
QUERY
1. How can I change this Week sequence... i.e as per requirement Week should start with SUNDAY instead of MONDAY.
2. This calender should indicate Company Holidays also, so that when the user selects date from this search help they are consious of the Company Holiday and enters working dates from the search help.

SAP uses a Gregorian calendar in the background for many time/date functionalities. Standard definition is that Monday is the beginning of the week. There is a modification that you can do to make the display with Sunday as 1st day of the week. Refer to note https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/599989
2. This calendar should indicate Company Holidays also, so that when the user selects date from this search help they are conscious of the Company Holiday and enters working dates from the search help.
This is definitely going to cost you some custom programming. There are many factory calendars in R/3, and each of them typically have different holiday schedules. In order for you to meet your requirement, you would need to tell the system which factory calendar would be relevant, find the holidays, and then display them in the search help. To make matters worse, a given date field in a SAP transaction may be relevant for multiple holiday calendars, depending on other info that is entered on the same screen. If I were a consultant, and you asked me to do this, I would make you specify every date field on every screen that you wish to see this functionality displayed, and I would also make you give me the rules with which to find the appropriate calendar. I wouldn't take the assignment without this info.
I really think you need to consider the cost vs benefit for this last requirement.

We have 1 SAP std program and 1 Z program for asset allocation.We need to combine these report.I need the data of SAP report in Z report. These is one table ITAB_DATA in SAP report which contains all data for display ALV.I want this data in my Z program.

as defaults, by VA22 I can print the quotation by sapscript.
I have to change form: I have to create a new smartforms instead sap script. in transaction V/30 I can set some parameters to change it.
My question is: Where is the correct parametrs to entry ?
(I entered the name of smartforms and a Z print program but I got an error message )

I guess the terminology's causing some problems. Here's what I think you need to do;
In transaction V/30 select the Output Type then double-click on the folder 'Processing Routines'. The columns are as follows;
Medium - Print, email etc
Program - Name of the print program
FORM Routine - name of the subroutine in the print program that will be called
Form - Name of the SAPscript (if used)
PDF/Smartform Form - Name of the Smartform, or pdf form (if used)
Type - If a Smartform or pdf form is specified, select from this drop-down which type it is.
If you're getting an error when you enter your parameters, it would be useful if you told us what the error was.

   We are using VF11 to cancel the Billing documents.
   In Billing type configuration, We are maintaining the cancellation invoice type "S2"
   Copy control is not linked beween "F2" and "S2"
   May I know how system process the Invoice cancellation ...
   Is there any program or configuration involved that process the invoice cancellation document.

For a mat price control is maintained with V, & std price also maintained during creation.
Now want to change the std price.
In MR21 its not allowing me to change moving avg price,if price control is V.

Use Tcode MASS to change data.
Go to MASS - select object type as BUS1001001 (material) - Execute - here select the tab FIELD and select the line with field: price control again execute then enter. input the number from and to of the materials for which you are require to change the price control and execute.
