How to change the Approver in ESS development

Hi All,
I need to change the Approver in the ESS. Right now its taking the team lead in the organizational hierarchy but now it has to be changed to Project Manager which will be fetched from customal table. I was told to use BADI PT_GEN_REQ. How should I utilize this BADI to change the approver? or is there any other option. Could anyone help me regarding this.

I assume this is occuring because you have your standard approval not set to auto complete. On your Standard Approval process definition, on the approve task, add the tcCompleteTask.
If that is not the issue then you need to modify your Self Registration to have an approve task assigned to the appropriate user you would like.

I am not sure about how to change SERVICE_NAME in PL/SQL Developer (if at all it can be done in that ), but you will have to change the SERVICE_NAME in the TNSNAMES.ORA file.
1. Locate the entry for PLSExtProc in the file tnsnames.ora at:
$ORACLE_HOME/network/admin/tnsnames.ora
2. Change the SERVICE_NAME = ORCL
3. Save and reconnect

It is standard functionality to change ship-to party address in ISA B2C. This happens only from the checkout.inc.jsp. The ship-to party is part of the basket object.

How to change the portal user id 's assigned employee in ESS configuration

Hello Gurus,
I now have a question related to ESS configuration. I want to know how to change the Portal user's pernr assignment in the ECC 6.0 system. Somebody had actually assigned my portal user ID a PERNR in the ECC 6.0 system. But now, for test purposes, I want to change the PERNR assignment to something else for my portal user id.
Could any of you please guide me in doing these steps?

Hi Leena,
You can create a new user name with the username and password assigned to it, with the transaction SU01.
Ex : ESS_USER1
Go to transaction code : PA30.
Enter the pernr you want to assign to the user ESS_USER1 that you have created earlier.
Enter infotype number : 105
Now go ahead and click on the change button.
And assign the user name as ESS_USER1.
Then the pernr number will be assigned to the ESS_USER1 that you have created.
You can check the same when you go to the HRUSER transaction code.

it is possible with SE03. you just click on Change <b>Object Directory Entries</b> under the tree menu <b>Object directory</b>, and then enter in the last column of table control
Check the check box and enter FORM and formname,
R3TR FORM SAPscript form
then execute it.
then you will be able to change it to PACKAGE from $TMP

You have not mentioned the version you are using (11i or R12).. Are you using iProcurement... ? Are you using positional or Employee-Supervisor hierarchy..?
Your question : How to change the next approver for the Purchase Requistion(PR) from User "X" to "Y", as Y was manager of "X" and 'X' left the organization.
Ans: You can achieve this through below workarounds
- Through *"Mass Update of Requisitions" functionality* (Conc. request) you can update the Approver name from User "X" to "Y" for existing PRs.
- Replacing the Supervisor name of the requestor/requisitioner in the HR record (assignment) from User "X" to "Y"..

here is my code that generate output for purchase order data. I followed the syntax shown in xml db developer guide.
I am getting the results but element tags are CAPS letters( As the coloumn names in the type defenitions are stored in CAPS in Oracle). but I need to show in small letters as per my requirement.

a blocking status ending with 1, 2 or 3 does not allow further changes on object level. In order to 'unblock' the object you must execute the following steps (let's assume you change the blocking status of migration object PARTNER):
(1) copy the migration object PARTNER either into the same migration company (with a new name) or into another migration company in order not to loose the customizing of the blocked migrationobject PARTNER. The name of the copied migration object might be PART_TEMP. A copy allways sets the blocking status of the copied migration object to 100. You can now continue working with the copied migration object for follow the steps (2) - (4) to have a migration object back with the original name.
(2) Delete the migration object PARTNER with the blocking status 002. For this select Utilities -> Delete MigObjects and delete the migration object PARTNER
(3) copy the copied migration object PART_TEMP back with the name of your original migration object PARTNER.
(4) Delete the migration object PART_TEMP.
Alternatively, if you changed the blocking status accidentially in the development system, you may change the field TEMOBS-SPERRSTATUS back to 000 with a direct update.

Hi -
Oracle Support has a linux command-line script available under controlled release for customers to perform the following:
1) Modify default quota for all subsequently created Libraries.
2) Modify the quota for a specific Workspace Library.
Customers can file a TAR in Metalink and support will supply the script.
Customers should let their users know to send an email to their Collab Suite Administrator to request additional quota, and then the administrator can run this script.
Please note that this is filed as a bug and a patch is being developed. This script is provided as an interim fix.
