How to change type of Element in standard guideline

Hi,
I need to change Postal code element in N4 segment from ID to AN to be able to receive characters in the zip code, but when I open the ecs using B2B Document Editor, the Type field is disabled.
Anyone knows how to change this?

If the only solution is to change the sap standard program, simply change the program, it will prompt for an access key. This key can be retrieved in the SAP support portal (service.sap.com) at keys and requests, sccr keys, register object.
Sometimes these actions are outsourced to a competence center, so maybe youre not entitled to do this, in any case ask a resident senior developer for support.

How to change the default element tag using dbms_xmlgen

here is my code that generate output for purchase order data. I followed the syntax shown in xml db developer guide.
I am getting the results but element tags are CAPS letters( As the coloumn names in the type defenitions are stored in CAPS in Oracle). but I need to show in small letters as per my requirement.
can anyone help me how to change the default tag names for elements.

How to change the desription of a standard SAP field in the Search Help

Hi All,
In Table T023T there is a field WGBEZ60(Long text describing the material group) and the data element of the field is WGBEZ60.
Requirement is to change the description of the field WGBEZ60.The desription of the field is - Description 2 for the material group.
But the user want as - Description for the material group. He dont want 2 in the description.
we are using this field in the search help of Material group for the transaction ME21N and ME51N.
So please tell me how can we change the description of the field in the Search help.

As search help uses data element , it shows its keyword. So you have to do modification to that keyword.
- Go to CMOD
- from top menu GOTO -> Text enhancements -> Keywords -> Change -> type WGBEZ60 -> change the description -> Save and add it to transport
- now use that data element either on the screen or search help. It will have the descripiton modified.

How to change the screen element of a single field in a table control

I want to change the screen element of a single field (or the whole row) in a table control according to a condition.
I have 2 columns in the table control. One is an input column and one output only. When user enters values into the input column, they need to be compared against the values in the other column, and if there is a discrepancy, the row where the discrepancy is needs to be highlighted.
I have tried the following code which highlights the whole column ...

Hi,
The modification of a screen element attribute (LOOP AT SCREEN...MODIFY SCREEN) must always be done in the PBO (for a dynpro, it will be in a PBO module, i.e. declared by MODULE ... OUTPUT)
About the loop at the internal table, it is done automatically by the system, also during the PBO, you'll find something like LOOP [AT itab] ... WITH CONTROL ... in the PBO part of the screen flow logic (note: you may have to complete with a supplementary READ TABLE if you don't use AT itab). So you don't need an additional loop.

This piece of code is called after each interaction from user. Since the ALV can change (columns can be added or removed - given in object do_strdescr_alv), I need to update/change the RTTI of node "ALV_DATA". I did not find the way how to do it. So, you can see, I remove the whole node and create it again. This works, but I am afraid about performance.
So my quiestion is: is there a way how to change the RTTI of existing node? I only found the way how to get this object from the node (method IF_WD_CONTEXT_NODE_INFO~GET_STATIC_ATTRIBUTES_TYPE), but there is no corresponding SET method.
Any idea?

sorry, I'm not going to be able to be much help - but just wanted to point out why, in my opinion, you can't do what you want to do...
And it all boils down to the word STATIC - when you create a node you create it with certain static attributes, and these are just that - static - you can't change them!
You can add dynamic attributes to an existing node - but not static ones (as far as I am aware).
This links to the how the data is stored and bound/shared - the context sharing has been built and designed so that static attributes are static.
Sorry I couldn't help more, but I thought it was a worthwhile point to make. (perhaps it wasn't but I had to comment anyway.)
Otherwise - I think you could dynamically alter your ALV model and context node, but might not get the ability to populate the ALV model through the inspection of your node.

we need to set appropiate "display" lenght to an item (VO attribute) in a standard OAF page.This item has maximum length=30 but length (to display)=25 . This is not acceptable for our customers because they can't see the complete value of the item
To see the item (Project Name):
Project Manager resp.--> Project List
Choose a Project.
CLick on Setup Page
There, it appears project information. One of the items is Project Name (Name).
As I said before, this item has maximun length =30 but displays only 25 characteres wide in the "box". Most of items have the same number in both of their properties, but not this.
How could we change it?

I mean:
I create in JDeveloper a VO (ProjectBasicInfoVO) extending the original.
I edit VO and go to Attributes... and I see that "Type" property for "Name" attribute is VARCHAR2(30). But.. 30 is not the number of characters we can see in the screen... so How could I change the "length" property of "Name" attribute while extending the VO?

OAF questions should go into the OAF forum.
In general you can use the UI control hints for the attribute to set its display width.

How to change the text of a standard iview

Hello,
We are implementing ESS on ERP 2005 in an Irish client, and there is no Irish version of the webdynpro iview to change Personal data. So we follow the IMG docu and use the GB iview and works fine.
The problem is that the text on one of the fields comes as "Nat. Ins. No.", and that is an English expression. Here they use something called "PSS number". No need to say that Irish are not too kin on using English expressions.
So the question is: how can I change that text without having to create a new iview?

     If you want to change the text in webdynpro iview:
1. Open the package Explorer view and expand your src/packages
2. Copy the .xlf file (___.wdview.xlf) which contains the field "Nat. Ins. No." and rename it (add "_en" before ".xlf" or ISO standard for irish english)
3. Translate the renamed "_en.xlf" files.
          Double click the xlf file and it is displayed in S2X editor.
         On the tab header, change the source language to British-English. (There is only American English and British English options in the source language)
         Switch to tab "Resource Text" and translate "Nat. INs. No. to PSS number.
          Had it been any other language, it is bound to work for sure. However i find no Irish English in webdynpro source options...

I have a requirement to change browser title for standard SAP WD4A application hrrcf_a_candidate_registration. I know this value is used from application description filed.
Current set up is 'Candidate Registration'. (WD Component HRRCF_C_REGISTER_UI)
I tried to use enhancement framework technique and application customization/configuration - but was not successfull.
I do not like the idea of changing the standard SAP object since it might be overwritten in future upgrade. And also I do not prefer to create z* copy of this application as well.
Any ideas how to handle this request? Is dynamic modification of this property possible?

everytime, when submitting data of a form, in the e-mail appears a standard text like below:
