File system checking exit code 8

Hi guys ... after done a filesystem checking I've got:
+0100: Incorrect number of file hard links
+0100: Checking catalog hierarchy.
+0100: Checking extended attributes file.
+0100: Checking volume bitmap.
+0100: Checking volume information.
+0100: The volume Macintosh HD was found corrupt and needs to be repaired.
+0100: File system check exit code is 8.
+0100: Error: This disk needs to be repaired using the Recovery HD. Restart your computer, holding down the Command key and the R key until you see the Apple logo. When the OS X Utilities window appears, choose Disk Utility.
After restart the machine as suggested, my filesystem check exit without finding any problem, so ... what is the problem in fact? ...
By the way: I do not have any strange behaviour on my mac, I normally run filesystem and permissions repairs in order to keep "him" clean and healthy.

This seems to be a bug. You may be able to work around it by starting up from another physical device. Make sure you have a current backup before doing anything.
If you have a "clone" backup on another drive—not a partition on the same drive—start up from it by holding down the option key at the startup chime and selecting its icon in the Startup Manager display. Launch Disk Utility and repair your primary startup volume—not the one you started from.
If you have a Time Machine backup on a locally-attached storage device—not a network device such as a Time Capsule—there should already be a Recovery system on that device. Start up from it and repair in the same way as above.
Otherwise, use Recovery Disk Assistant to create a Recovery system on a spare storage device, such as a USB flash drive, and start up from that device. All existing data on the Recovery device will be permanently erased.

Does this mean can I tell to my client that "This is being a spawned program, any customizations to this report needs full report development efforts"?I believe yes.
Before I state this to my client I want to verify with this forum. Please suggest me in either case.Would your client trust my reply on here :) ?
I would suggest you log a SR and confirm this with Oracle support, that would be a better proof.

How to troubleshoot "Exit Code: 6" error when installing CS5 (Mac)

So hey. It's been a long, long couple of days trying to figure out this error, and even longer (and more frustrating) trying to actually find someone from Adobe who can actually give me customer support. You think they'd have a bit more streamlined approach when taking care of their customers, but I guess that's why I am here, so lets find out
Basically, I'm trying to re-install my CS5 mAster Collection I got a few years back onto my MacBook Pro. I got it about 3-4 years ago from my college as a "teachers an student licensing," and it worked great.Amazing. Hallelujah.
Now fast forward to about 4 months ago; my Mac's Logic Board crashes. I spend a lot of time and money recovering data via a 3rd party data company, and FINALLY get my mac fixed with all files intact.
Problem is, all of my CS5 programs are gone, although i still have all the files I created with them. So I go to reinstall my Cs5; I still have all the disks (in mint condition) and my serial-code. I insert Application Disc 1 and enter my serial code, the installation gets to the point where it asks for Application Disc 2. I insert disc 2, and after awhile my Mac spits the Disc out and the Adobe Installation Manager says the installation was complete, but with errors, and only 2 of all the CVS5 programs were installed. When I checked the error log on the installation manager, it stated "Exit Code: 6"
I have looked up this code many time, but i just can't understand how to trouble shoot it. I'm not a programmer or a computer wiz, so some of the multiple multi-step process Adobe suggests for troubleshooting are beyond my ability or understanding. ALL I NEED IS SOME HELP; clarifying steps to trouble shoot this, understanding error code:6, advice on how to fix it, even a way for me to get in contact with and ACUTAL person from Adobe Customer Serivice.
Please, I am a Graphic Arts Major in college, and I can't afford to have this continue to be an issue. HELP ME.

Did you remove the bits of the failed install before going on? Try creating a new admin account for the install. If that doesn't work, try doing a fresh download from Adobe's site. Even if you bought the boxed version you can install the trial and enter your serial number.

If you want to access the source code of any ESS component, you will need access to NWDI. NWDI NWDI = NetWeaver Development Infrastructure, it provide the tools and process to build new / modify existing applications built using NWDS. There are plenty of threads discussing how to set up NWDI, you may search for the same.
However if the payslip problem is only for some users, it could also be a pdf issue, have you tried running the payslip for those select users within ECC?

I have an Oracle 9.2 db in Solaris and want to do a script to control the status of the exports. I have in the script:

Export has three Exit codes:
A. Successful export/import.
Result : Export terminated successfully without warnings

B. Successful export/import with warnings.
Result : Export terminated successfully with warnings
Import terminated successfully with warnings
Exit Code : EX_OKWARN
Exit Level: 0 (for Unix platforms)
C. Unsuccessful export/import.
Result : Export terminated unsuccessfully
Import terminated unsuccessfully
Exit Code : EX_FAIL
Exit Level: 1 (for Unix platforms, and for Windows platforms with Oracle10g and higher)
I would like to know how to differentiate if the export ended with the EX_OKWARN or EX_SUCC. Because both return the same value.

I got the info from Note:281725.1 of metalink. And I suposed that if there are three variables to differentiate the error level could be some way to control it without the need of grep. If the value of EX_OKWARN was different from EX_SUCC would be much easier.
So I'll use grep if there is no other way.

How to fix exit code 4 on ADL

Hi,
I'm trying to build an application using a trial version of FlashBuilder 4, using SDK 4.1. The SDK has AIR 2.0.2 overlayed.
When I run my ant builds, it all works as expected, but running adl from the command line, or from within FlashBuilder the app just terminates.
I inspected the exit code, and got code 4.
The last information I found was that exit code 4 means I had a version conflict. What I don't understand is that my ant build points to the same SDK I try to run from the command line, and the same SDK configured in FlashBuilder.
Then I figured it might be the version of the runtime on my system, I downloaded an app called 'Version' (Air App), and it reports that I'm running Air 2.7, I cannot find an older version download for OSX.
I'm really eager to try out FlashBuilder, and my trial is almost over, I have had no luck, and it's starting to drive me insane.
Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?

How to check from code in Excel Addin that Excel is embedded in Microsoft word

We've developed an Excel Addin in C# for Excel 2010 and it works perfectly OK. But one issue is reported very recently as below.
1. Microsoft word document is created with an embedded excel work sheet.
2. Save the document and close.
3. Open the word document and try to edit the work sheet there.
4. Following error comes.
"The program used to create this object is Excel. That program is either not installed on your computer or it is not responding.
To edit this object, install Excel or ensure that any dialog boxes in Excel are closed."
5. This is because, our Addin is initialized and one excel process is running.
6. If the Excel Addin is disabled, above work flow works correctly.
Please let me know how to determine from the Excel Addin that the excel worksheet is embedded in another applicatoin. Because I want to disable the Addin in those cases and enable it if the Excel is opened standalone. The Addin is developed in C#.

you cannot check a keystroke after typing it.
try a trick: create two items (Item 1 : maximum length 1, automatic skip = TRUE) (Item 2 : normal item, normal length, e.g. a char-item).
Let's say the focus is in item 1. Now you have a WHEN-VALIDATE-ITEM-Trigger on this item. After each keystroke your item navigates to the next item (item 2). This Trigger adds the input of item 1 to item 2.
:Block.Item2 := :Block.Item2 || :Block.Item1;
In the WHEN-NEW-ITEM-INSTANCE of Item2 you go back with "go_item ('BLOCK.ITEM1')".
In the KEY-NEXT-ITEM-Trigger of Item1 you go to another vaild item but not to item2 (because of the trigger WHEN-NEW-ITEM-INSTANCE of item2). e.g. "go_item ('BLOCK.ITEM3')"
With this trick you can use each keystroke in item1 and display the apropriated value in item2.

Disk utility can't repair time machine disk - File system check exit code is 8

i have a WD My Passport 2Tb external hard drive that is split in to 2 volumes (1.5 & .5 TB). I use the smaller volume as my Time Machine disk. A couple of days ago I started getting an error that the Time Machine back up had failed and to use Disk Utility to repair the disk. So I launched DU and ran Verify Disk in the Time Machine volume. It quit verifying and told me to run Repair Disk EXCEPT the Repair Disk button was still greyed out. If I select the physical drive, Repair Disk becomes available but gives me the above error. The other (larger) volume continues to work just fine.
The he Time Machine volume is read only now.
I'm running Yosemite 10.10.1.
Hoping ting someone has a fix because I would prefer not to lose a years worth of Time Machine data.

i'm afraid that the disk is too corrupt to repair. This could be because the drive is failing or you will need to erase the partition (which may not succeed unless you also repartition the drive.) If you must repartition the drive then you will lose data on both partitions. This is an important reason why you should not mix storage and backup on the same drive.
You will need to erase your Time Machine volume to see if that fixes the problem. You will lose all the backup data unless you get another external drive to which you can clone the backup volume before erasing it.
