HOw to check for the Child Elements USing only SAX Parsr?

HI Guyz,
How to check whether there are any Child Elements in an XML file using ONLY SAX parser ??? I have a requirement of checking first whether there is any Child Elements exists for a Element or not and based on that I have to take certain actions. Can anyone suggest me How to do that ???

Since SAX is event controlled, you wont know if there's a child element unless you actually bump into it with the Parser. You'll simply get another startElement event after your current one.

According to your description, you might want to check the existence of sub folder in a folder of a library using Client Object Model.

Checking for the condition types using case statement

hi folks,
I have a lot of condition types that I have to check for and I am using case statement to do that. The code goes like this.

I have to check for all the condition types out here.
How can I correct it? Is there a better way to do it?

I think that your CASE statement has a flaw. The line length of one of the lines is too large. You need to insert a carriage-return to shorten it (or press the button 'Pretty Printer').

If you want to track when you have put deletion flag, you can track it using above mentioned techniques.
If you archived (deleted) permanently, then using archival history only, you can check I guess.
Check these links. While deleting maintenance order, we can hisorical order with same number. Using that creation date, you can track.

Checking for the existence of a Frame

Hello,
I am currently designing an application which consists of 8 JFrames (all in different classes), During the application, one JFrame provides information to a user and when they select the appropriate fields another JFrame opens an the active one closes. However the problem i am having is that i need to be able to write an if statement saying

But i dont know how to check for the existence of a frame currently running, or how to destroy it..
im currently using dispose(); to destroy frames but the dispose method only works when your in the class thats creating the frame, it wont let me write something like class1.dispose() (where class1 is the frame object created in the constructor of class1.java); in class2.
I have searched throught the forum and havent found anything that can help me, i would really appreciate anyones input.

Is your formula attached to basic salary element or some other element? You need to make sure that basic salary element has some value and is processed before this formula is called. Are you able to see value for basic salary element after payroll run?

I am using studio 7.0 to develop a webbased application. In this, i need to access
an oracle db using a WLAI Application View from my Workflow. I get some data back
from Oracle as an XML variable and then apply an XPath statement to access the
individual columns returned.
My problem arises when there are no records in the db matching my criteria and
an empty XML variable is returned to me from the app view. In these cases my
XPath statement fails in studio causing an improper exit.
Does anybody know how to check for content in a XML varaible using studio? So
that if there is content i can proceed with XPath and if there is no content,
then i will take a different route.

If I remember correctly, the adapter will return an XML document that contains
XML elements for each row. You can just simply check the count of these elements
with an XPath statement: ie. count(response/row)

How to check for missing fields in the file?

Hi friends,
I have a file to file scenario in which if any of the fields have a blank value, i have to put the file back in the source folder. If none of the fields are missing, the scenario should work normally.
Can anybody tell me how can i check for the field lengths and if any of the fields are blank, how do i send it back to the original folder.

Since you need to basically check if the field has a value or not, i dnt think you need to check for the length of the field. Instead, you can use any one of the booloean functions available in the graphical mapping editor to check if the field has a value or not(filed value true or false)

You can maintain a flag variable in the target structure such that if any of the source fields donot have values, the flag's value becomes 1 else it remains 0.
Now, you can check if the value of flag is equal to 1/0 in the bpm and accordingly send the data.
If in case, you donot want the flag to come in the target file that is loaded/sent from the bpm in the end, i think even tat can be taklen care of.
You can create two receiver communication channels and define one file adapter in each such that one has the destination as the actual target directory and the other has the original source directory as the destination.

my client is having one issue regarding disable OK check for subcontracting child parts in MIGO transaction ,In MIGO subcomponenets are attached to main component , my client is asking for disable that OK check box user shouldnot remove that check box tick mark when system showing message deficiate of subcomponents at subcontractor because some times users removing that check box tick mark and proceeding further, with that they are not able to reconcile the sub challans.

How to check Whether the File is in Progress or used by some other resource

I am retrieving a file from the FTP server using Apache commons FTP.
I need to check whether the file is fully retrieved or in progress.
for now i can able to use the file which is partially retrieved. it is not throwing any file sharing exception or i am unable to find whether it is in progress.
How to check whether the file is in progress ? or The file is accessed by some other resource ?

Hi Vamsi,
Explicitly such kind of requirement has not been catered and i dont think you would face a problem because any application that is writing to a file will open the file in the read only mode to any other simultaneous applications so i think your concerns although valid are already taken care off .
In the remote case you still face a problem then as a work around. Tell the FTP administrator to set the property to maximum connections that can be made to ftp as one. I wonder if you have heard of the concept of FTP handle , basically the above workaround is based on that concept itself. This way only one application will be able to write.
The file adapter will wait for its turn and then write the files.

The problem is that "matchEntityBasic" is not a child of "alternateIdentifiers", so this :

I didn't get ur requirement..
As per my understanding, upload the XML file into an internal table and then loop over the internal table and get the values for ptype and pname..
