How to check the layout defined for an ALV program

Hi All,
I have an ALV-program which uses radio buttons to display the list either in an Hierarchical format or in a Simple list format. In the selection screen there is a field for specifying the layout.
Now the problem is, if a layout is created for Hierachical display and that layout is used to display the list in a simple list format the program doesn't give the desired output and vice versa.
So i need to put a check in the program, to check whether the layout given in the selection screen is meant for a Simple List display or for an Hierarchical display and accordingly throw an error message regarding the mismatch if any.
Is there any standard Function Module to check whether the layout is defined for a Simple List display or an Hieracrchical List display? Or is there any other way to do this checking????

The problem is:
I need to know whether the LAYOUT(given in the selection screen) is defined for a SIMPLE LIST DISPLAY or an HIERARCHICAL LIST DISPLAY. Now say for example user has selected a layout which has been defined for a Hierarchical List display but by mistake he has selected the radio button for a Simple List display. So, here is a mismatch and the program should detect this and throw some error message. Instead it is now displaying a wrong output which is resulting from the mismatch.

I have a report which is built on one multiproviider for which we are getting balance sheet data reporting on company code,enduser told us that he wanted to see the data on plant level...
The problem here is that I have checked the data flow for the multiprovider,It is showing as getting data from virtual cube.
So,from there It is not showing the datasource and infosource under it(under virtual cube)..so how can I check the datasource name for it,so that I can go and enhance the datasource in case the plant(WERKS) is not there

Hi Friend,
go virtual cube lavel and see the data flow with "downward & upward" option in RSA1
Go to RSA1
Select the Virtual cube> right click > display data flow> select "downward & upward"

Hi,
When initiating a transaction, a system program performs a series of checks to ensure the user is authorized.
1. The program checks whether the transaction code exists in table TSTC.
2. The program checks whether the transaction code is locked by the administrator (transaction code SM01).
3. The program checks whether the user has the authority to start the transaction. Authorization object S_TCODE (transaction start) contains the authorization field TCD (transaction code). The user must have the appropriate authorization for the transaction code to be started (for example, FK01, Create Vendor).
4. The program checks whether an authorization object is assigned to the transaction code. If this is the case, the program checks whether the user has an authorization for this authorization object. The transaction code/authorization object assignment is stored in table TSTCA.
Note: An SAP program controls steps 1 through 4. It displays an automatic message to the user if an authorization attempt fails in the step.
5. The system performs authorization checks in the ABAP program using the ABAP statement AUTHORITY-CHECK.

Welcome to scn,
For all your query, check "SARA" tcode for answer. In standard, We have pre defined archiving objects (Usually names starts inital 2 letters of module and main table or process like PR_Order).
There are different tabs available (check screen below) in SARA, Explore each for more information.
For tables/object identification - use "Database tables" Tab (tcode DB15).
For Archived data, check "Spool" (green icon beside logs)
There is option to schedule tasks in Preproc, Write and Delete tabs.

Wow, it worked. Many thanks. This is what I did, following your directions to print PDF files as double-sided:
01-Command P & Click "Printer button".
02-Click Yes.
03-Click the Popup Arrow to display contents.
04-Select Two-sided "Long-Edge binding" or whatever needed and Click Print.
05-Click OK to Print.
What fooled me is that from Word (.doc) files the screen on step 3 and 4 show directly selecting a popup menu on the initial print window, whereas when printing PDF files it is required to go through steps 1-2-3 above.

I dont see any filter for effective_start_Date and effective_end_Date for PER_ALL_PEOPLE_F and PER_ALL_ASSIGNMENTS_F tables. If you want to get the data as on date, put follwowing condition in your query which will help you remove duplicates :
AND TRUNC(SYSDATE) BETWEEN peo.effective_start_date AND peo.effective_end_date
AND TRUNC(SYSDATE) BETWEEN PER_F.effective_start_date AND PER_F.effective_end_date

But how do I find out what is the update number of OpenMQ ?
Currenlty, it shows me following

I want to find out if bug http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=6961586 has been fixed in this version or not. I still see the same behavior as OpenMQ 4.3.

Since this is not a supported procedure I can't point you at you at detailed documentation and don't want to get drawn into writing any. But basically you need to
replace the files in imq/bin (under your GlassFish 2.1.1 installation) with the ones in mq/bin (under your GlassFish 3.1 installation)
replace the files in imq/lib (under your GlassFish 2.1.1 installation) with the ones in mq/bin (under your GlassFish 3.1 installation)
unjar imqjmsra.rar (which is in mq/bin under your 3.1 installation) into lib/install/applications/jmsra (under your GlassFish 2.1.1 installation), thereby replacing the files already there.

WITH <selection-screen field> IN <selection-screen field>

How to display the 'language code' for language dependent 'Short text' ?

I have an attribute 'Material category description' and I chose short text exists and made it language dependent. I had loaded the master data successfully.
Now I want to know how to check the 'language code' for this material category description. When I display the data, will the language code display by defalult?
I had checked the text table using SE11
It displays the following fields over there.

I went to RSD1 -> info-object -> Master Data/text tab. It shows my language selections there (Short text selected, language time dependent etc.) with everything grayed out.
In SE16, I could display the data in the following format.
/BIC/ST_PRID                TXTSH                 TXTMD
P01                                   umbrella                 rainyday
P02                                  tent                         waterproof
etc.
I want to see the 'language code' as one of the columns in this table.
Can you help me do that?
