How to clean tables in Ides database of Mobile Sales

I'm working with Mobile Sales v 4 SP08, and SQL Server 2000 Standard Edition.
I have created a new extract for a site.
In order to go faster loading the new extract synchronizing MSA client, how could I clean the Ides database into MSA client ?

Thank you, but I'm not interesting in complete archiving process.
I only want clean tables into Ides database into SQL Server of MSA client, with SQL tools. From SQL Interprise manager.
When I create a new extract for existing user and synchronize it, the import operation is very slow because SQL server needs delete the old records in all tables and import new records.
As far as I know, detaching Ides database, saving it, ... some operations...., and restoring it, we can clean all records in tables. After that we will synchronize and will load new extract.

The big question is 'why'.
Selecting from view 'dba_tables' will indeed give the list of all tables in the database, but that includes the dictionary tables and the internal tables, and many others that are probably not of interet to a person who needs to ask this question. Besides, the dba_tables view requires access to a DBA account.
There are several other views: "user_tables" will list all the tables in this user's schema; and "all_tables" will list all the tables this user can access in some way.
The above do not, of course, include any information about synonyms, sequences, views, indexes and so on.
The correct answer and the meaningful answer may be two different things.

How to join tables on different databases

In the company I work in, we've got some java applications working on two different instances which "hide" to each others (one on 10g and the other on 8i). Some decoding tables, which should common to both of them, are only present on 8i one.
I've been told that java works 'cause it allows to connect to both of databases and then report the information on front end applications.
The question is this: since we'll have to get reports on both of databases, is it possible to perform queries by using tools like oracle forms, oracle reports, sql developers, ... for joining the tables of the two different databases as java does? We have to get how to accede directly to the two instances for getting data from both of them for reporting activities. I remind you that we cannot use dblinks between the two databases for internal security reasons.

Even java can't join between tables on two databases if the db links are not created.
So it essentially works that it fetches the data from one db and then from another db ( using two different db connctions) and then you can utlize these data and perform some joining.
Coming back to database world. It can be done like the usual dw approach.
1. Connect to a third db:
2. Get data from one database
3. get data from other database.
now do all the joins that you want to do

i have an issue and i hope you could help me to solve it. My problem is: I want to create native sql select which joins two tables from different DB (both of them are ORACLE, one of them internal, another one - external). I have found several notes and posts, but without any success. Db connection exists in dbcon table, so this part of my problem has been solved.
I would like something like that:
select * from table1@xxx inner join table2.
i can not split this select into two separate ones, because both tables store over 30 mln. entries and i do not want to create any copies of them.

Error while accessing a Table on Oracle Database 10.2

We have a table that contains a CLOB datatype in one of its column. However when i tried to access the table i get the below error.

They have to study and take exams in Mathematics, English and Science, and can take other subjects such as History, French, Art etc. Most students will study between 5 and 10 different subjects before taking their GCSEs.

Now why i need this avgGCSE is because i have to create a view containing avgGCSE of the students it is used in the next question where a condition is avgGCSE is between 6.5 and 7

add them all up and div by the total no of grades to get the avg.

How to input data in a database table without knowing in advance table and column configurations

I have a problem using LabVIEW for input data (manually) in a SQL database. I have about 40 tables in the database, each of them is related to a specific engine component. I need to create a user interface (maybe visualizing the table with a table control) where the users can insert data in the database table fields. Could someone give me some suggestion on how to do it?
Using the DB tools insert data.vi I need to know in advance the column configuration of the table, but in my database each table has its own structure! So do I have to create 40 different masks, one for every different table?

I have not actually used the LV SQL Toolkit, but I will try and offer high level ideas :-)
when you have retrieved the construction data for a table, you should be able to use array and cluster indexing to aquire the names of the fieds, enough to create a labelled table on the LV Front panel.
After completing a new entry you can INSERT the entry into the database using the same data.
Is the SQL toolkit an additional purchase, or included in newer versions as standard? If you post a sample of the cluster/array that you retrieve, I could give you a sample VI to give you some pointers in creating the User Interface table

How to mirroring/replicating a table from one database to another database?

I am having a table in 10g Database.
I want to mirror this table in 9i Database.
How to do this?

1) Just to clarify, it is quite possible to use Streams between a 9i and 10g database (note for future reference that specifying actual database versions, i.e. 9.2.0.4 or 10.2.0.4 rather than marketing labels is generally helpful because there may be differences between different 9i and 10g releases)
2) Are you setting up one-way replication? Or will changes be made on both databases, implying the need for multi-master replication?
3) Why doesn't the table have a primary key? Could you declare a primary key? If not, you'd have to use the ROWID (i.e. specify WITH ROWID when creating the materialized view log and the materialized view) which tends to cause maintenance issues down the line. It really doesn't make sense to replicate a table without a primary key-- it really doesn't make sense to design a table without a primary key the vast majority of the time.

I have now selected the additional field Posting date in Document ANEK -BUDAT .Earlier the report had the fields from ANLCV - Current acquisition value ,ordinary dep posted selected for the output.
When i run the query after adding this new field ANEK-BUDAT the below warning is generated by system :
