How to clear fields?

Hi,
I have a form in which there is one item with list item. Whenever I change the list item, I want the fields dependent on this list item to "clear". How can I do this?
Kindly guide me.

My blunt intelegence says, you can use 'WHEN-LIST-CHANGED' tigger and write PL/SQL to clear the fields because machine can't detect dependent fields as per your functionality.

I understand that in a text-symbol when u set the values once, then u print them. for the second time when u want to print with diff values, then it will automatically get refreshed when u open it again.
So use code like this.
PERFORM OPEN_FORM USING FORMNAME.
PERFORM WRITE_FORM USING TEXT_SYM.
PERFORM CLOSE_FORM
for the next run...
at this instant all the text elements will get refreshed.
PERFORM OPEN_FORM USING FORMNAME.
PERFORM WRITE_FORM USING TEXT_SYM.
PERFORM CLOSE_FORM

How to Clear Fields of a Screen, included in Chain..EndChain

Dear All,
I have developed a screen program with a few text fields. I have also used Chain..EndChain on these. I am unable to clear the fields included in this Chain..EndChain on the screen, while others are getting cleared.
Please suggest a solution.

you probably have the module with clear statement before the CHAIN - ENDCHAIN command.
The problem is that the FIELD command which you are probably using within the chain is waiting with the data transport of those fields until the FIELD statement has been processed.
An example (with a Screen using KNA1 fields).
PROCESS AFTER INPUT.
* Directly after the PAI has been triggered all data from the screen elements
* will be transported to the KNA1 variable in your program.
* Except for those sceen element that are part of a FIELD statement.
MODULE clear_kna1.
* This module will clear the kna1 variable in your program.
CHAIN.
FIELD kna1-kunnr.
* At this field statement the contents of the screen element kna1-kunnr
* will now be transported to the kna1 variable ni your program.
Module xxx.
ENDCHAIN.
In this example the kna1 variable will be cleared by the 'clear_kna1' module. However, since the FIELD statement is processed after this module, the kunnr field will be transported into the (now empty) kna1 variable.
The solution to this is to put the ' clear_kna1' module after the FIELD statement (most likely after the chain). That way all the fields of the kna1 variable will be cleared.

How to clear text fields when the user navigates back to the screen

Does anyone have any idea on how to clear the text input fields and dropdown boxes when the user navigates back to the screen, say for e.g. create screen?
My issue is that i have plenty of fields in the create screen within a form. Is there a way to avoid programaticaly blanking out every field and just do it at the form level using an api to reset to a state before the user entry?

This code allows you to make it more generic, and you would need to tweak it if there are more than TextInput controls, but it should provide some ideas.
As far as using states, you could use SetProperty to set the text to empty, but that might be messier.

How to clear the fields within copy routines in the copy contorl

HI Gurus,
I need to clear the fields VBP-VBELV and VBAP-PSSNV within the copy routines 303 in the copy control between quote item and sales order item. I am not sure how to do that... Can some body please help.
This is required because we had sales order and quote using the same requirement type which controls the special stock indicator. This leads to the stock getting update in quotation instead of the sales order, because the quotation is initiating document (collecting all cost etc).Now i know requirement should only be passed to production from sales order and not from quotation so i changed the config but there are some existing documents using same requirement type on both quotation and sales order and to correct those i need to clear fields VBP-VBELV and VBAP-PSSNV within the copy routines 303.

You can clear it manually using F-03. In that T-Code it is a manual clearing and not automatic clearing...so you can select any line items you want to clear, only thing is that their balance should be Zero.

How to clear parameters defined in selection screen on back button

Hi,
I have a report with parameters, few being input fields, and check boxes. After report is executed when user selects the back button, the selection screen is displayed again but with the old selection values. I want to clear them.
So in the Initialization even I added the code to clear all these parameters;
CLEAR: p_aaa, p_bbb, p_ccc.
I debugged and control passes through this code but still the fields are not cleared and they retain the old input values.
How to clear them ?

How to clear tab settings in Designer in 7.0

I imported an existing form and added text fields/drop downs, etc. I used copy/paste throughout. When I went to set tab order there are in some cases 3 or 4 numbers beside a single field and even straight text fields are numbered. I can't figure out how to clear all of these out so that I can properly set the tab order. When I did advanced>accessibility>full check in the form in acrobat it said that "WARNING: Since the PDF file contains Adobe XML form fields, you must use Adobe Designer to repair errors" and "All of the pages in this document have tab order that may be inconsistent with the structure order".
I am brand-new to using this software so as detailed an explanation as possible would be greatly appreciated.

1) Copy and paste.
Download master data in flat file .Copy the master data and paste in members of dimension after that process the dimension.
2) Using SISS Pakage - load Flat File into BPC-Cube

Instead of doing it on the same button better create a separate button for this functionality, As per my understanding you want to clear these fields to create new record so that you can enter a new record so for this you just need to insert a new row in VO.
Still if you want to do it on the same button then you need to put the check that particular record is not dirty if it is not then create new record else create new record.
One more thing if you will clear on the second click of a button how will you update your record??

Can someone please help me figure out how to “clear” recent email addresses used in Mail? For example, as I begin typing a name/email address in the “To:” field, Mail begins suggesting addresses that I’ve previously used. I don’t want any suggestions unless they are in my contacts.
Another example: When using MS Outlook, it will also remember and suggest email accounts previously used, but I can arrow down and delete an account from the list so it won’t automatically popup or suggest in the future.
I appreciate any guidance in this matter.

The iOS email app stores all email recipients in a list of previous recipients which cannot be turned off. The email address autofill feature when addressing an email pulls from contacts and from the list of previous recipients which can't be prevented. There is no option to clear the list of previous recipients - not at the present time anyway.
If you don't want any suggestions, select from contacts instead when addressing an email.

I'm trying to provide the user with the ability to check one box "Check All" which would then set the check boxes for a section to the same value as shown in the example. Anyone know how I can accomplish this?
