How to conatant value in F4 & it should be gery out

Hi.
I need to create a search help for a field . In seection method I have given one table. obviously in F4 it will pull all the data from table which we have mentioned in selection method. but I dont want all the data from it.In my search help I would want to have constant value & it should be grey out. Can you pls let me know how to acheive this. I tried to mention constant value while creating in serach help. still it is pulling all the values. Thanks in advance.

Suppose you need to get F4 help from one table.. you will be handling all the entries in an itab, say tb_values. Once tb_values is filled with the selection entries, append one more entry by yourself by giving your constant.
For EX:
SELECT name FROM mcshierb
              INTO TABLE tb_values
              WHERE tlevel EQ co_05
              AND appl EQ co_appl
              AND hname EQ co_hname.
tb_values-type = 'ABCD'.
APPEND tb_values.
CLEAR tb_values.

But I didn't get what you mean by graying out? You mean when the constant is selected, the selection field itself should be grayed out?

How to get values from afLiterator ?

Hi All,
I have a grid populated records using af:Iterator. Row are populated from the List model(say product list). The iterator component i binded in the bean.
Now i have showing 5 records per page. total 3 pages are there.
There is a boolean check box for each rows. and a common check box to select all the rows in the page.
I dont know how to get the rows of current set when i select the SelectAll checkbox, similarlly i have to do the same when i go to page 2 of the iterator.(page 2 means next range of records in the iterator)
My requirement is using the af:iterator not af:table.. please help

af:iterator does i) not keep track of selection states and ii) stamp data
i) The selection state needs to be tracked with <f:attribute ...> tags added to the check box component. The value of the attribute should identify the row (ideally by a unique key). The name of the attribute is up to you. When you iterate over the selected check boxes you call getAttribute() on the check box component to access your custom attribute for identifying the row instance
ii) rows are no individual instances and there fore cannot be directly accessed. af:forEach may be a better fit for your use case as it created component instances that then allow you to call the JSF parent container and getChildren on this. You then look for the checkbox component instances and verify its selection state. For selected components you the access the custom attribute

How to show values with initial sort asc/desc in 11.5.10 iProcurement page?

(Logged Bug 12902576 with OAFramework DEV, but OAF DEV closed the bug and advised to log the issue here in the forum)
How to have values sorted in ascending order when user first navigates to the page?
Currently the values are unsorted, and are only sorted after the user clicks the column heading to sort the values. We expect the users should not have to click the column heading, but instead that the values should be sorted in ascending order when the user navigates to the page. This issue occurs on an OAFramework based page in iProcurement application.
PROBLEM STATEMENT

Receipts and Invoices are not sorted in iProcurement Lifecycle page even after implementing personalization to sort ascending on Receipt Number and Invoice Number. Users expect the receipts and invoices to be sorted but they are not sorted.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Navigate to iProcurement
2. Click the Requisitions tab
3. Search and find a requisition line that is associated to a Purchase Order having multiple receipts and multiple invoices.
4. Click the Details icon to view the lifecycle page where the receipts and invoices are listed
- see that the receipts are not sorted, and the invoices are not sorted
5. Implement personalization to sort in ascending order for Receipt Number and for Invoice Number. Apply the personalization and return to page.
- the receipts and invoices are still not sorted.
IMPACT
Users need the receipts and invoices sorted to make it easier to review the data. As a workaround, click the column heading to sort the results
Tried workaround suggested by OAFramework DEV in Bug 12902576 but this did not help.
TESTCASE of suggested workaround
NAVIGATION in visprc01
1. Login: dfelton / welcome
2. iProcurement responsibility / iProcurement Home Page / Requisitions tab
3. Click the Search button in the upper right
4. Specify search criteria
- Remove the 'Created by' value
- Change 'Last 7 Days' to 'Anytime'
- Type Requisition = 2206
5. Click Go to execute the search
6. Click the Requisition 2206 number link
7. Click the Details icon
8. In the Receipt section, click the link 'Personalize Table: (ReceivingTableRN)'
9. Click the Personalize (pencil) icon
10. Click the Query icon for Site level (looks different than the screenshots from OAFramework team, because this is 11.5.10 rather than R12

Sorting
No sorting is allowed
The Query Row option becomes available in personalize after setting the Receipt Number row to Searchable. However, even after clicking the Query icon to personalize, it is not possible to specify sorting. There is a Sorting heading section on the personalization page, but there is also a statement: No sorting is allowed
The workaround mentioned by OAFramework team in Bug 12902576 does not work for this case
- maybe because this is 11.5.10 rather than R12?
- maybe similar to Bug 8351696, this requires extension implementation?
What is the purpose of offering ascending/descending for Sort Allowed if it does not work?
Please advise if there is a way to have the initial sort in ascending order for this page.

I´m sorry that you couldn´t reproduce the problem.
To be clear:
It´s not about which symbol should seperate the integer part from the fraction.
The problem is, that i can´t hide the fraction in bargraph.
The data im showing are integers but the adf bar graph component wants to show at least 4 digits.
As I´m from germany my locale should be "de" but it should matter in the test case.

How to pass values of the prompt through Action Link - URL in 11g

I am in OBIEE 11g v6.
Let's say, I have two dashbaord pages P1 and P2.
P1 page contains
1. Prompt PR1 - containing a single column EmpName
2. Report R1
P2 page contains
1. Prompt PR2 - containing a single column EmpName (same column as in PR1)
2. Report R2
Requirement :
Let's say a user select a value = David from the EmpName column in prompt PR1. In the Report R1, on one the measure columns 'Sales', I am using an action link - Navigate to URL ( I can't use Navigate to BI Content for some reasons). In the URL, I am giving the URL to page P2. Can I pass the selected value (which is David) to the EmpName column of the Prompt PR2 of Page P2 so that Report R2 is automatically limited by David when I land on that page through the URL?
Few things to consider are, I can't use EmpName column in my report R1 on page P1, I just want to pass the value of a common column from one prompt on Page1 to another prompt on Page2. Is that possible. Can anybody please help?

Hmm can you give a try one more time with
Add EmpName name and hide it on report R1 on page P1
and set EmpName as Is Prompted on report R2 on page P2 and with my earlier steps should work.
Other option is read this doc once that helps you how to pass value thru url.

I checked with the screen and report which is mentioned by you. But I want to modify/make changes that should appear in the screen when you view details for a particualar employee in Qualifications(IT0024).
Please refer the screen 2000 of module pool MP002400 in SE80. In that screen I want to make change as listbox with key.
Can it be achieved in the same way as mentioned by you before by making standard SAP report as Z and then modify using layout editor?
Please help me out. I think I am almost there.

by the look of the code

list.add(mystringvalue, ? );you may not be because every JList is put in a JScrollPane
but if you do want to do it through the palette there is an option in properties - model which you can uses to add in values.
and if your looking to get info. from a database look up

Seems like u r not really undertand my real problem. Below is the details of my probelm.
I have two JFrames in my application . From the first frame when
I click the "Find" Button the second frame is instantiated which
queries for the value to be found . My intention is that when I
click find on the second Frame all other Column values(from the
database) should be dispalyed in the First frame corresponding
to the value I am searching. I am calling the set method in the
first frame from the second frame to dispaly the values in the
first frame. But this is not getting displayed in the first
frame even though i am able to get the result printed in the
console window.

Hi Marcus,
If there is no way you could change the cardinality of the node, and thus it can contain 0..n items, I think you should create-and-add a new element programmatically.
Since the collection can contain zero elements, I would add a 'new' button, which upon clicking adds one new element via:
IYourNodeElement yourNodeElem = wdContext.nodeYourNode().createYourNodeElement();
wdContext.nodeYourNode().addElement(yourNodeElem);

I have set formatted search on A/R Invoice Form, there is two udf one is BillFrom and second is Jurisdiction. On change of BillFrom the value of the udf should be replace in Jurisdiction. I have write below given query for the same. It is working fine in update mode of existing records. Till time working fine in new record add mode too. Since last 3 days it is not working in add mode.
Query :
SELECT case when $[oinv.U_BillFrom] = 'BLR' then 'Bangalore'
                     when $[oinv.U_BillFrom] = 'MUM' then 'Mumbai'

How does INV1 factor in the query? That has not been mentioned in your post.
When does the query run? What field is the query assigned to?
I can only guess at the issues if you don't give me complete information.
Remember you cannot mass update child records from the parent record via a formatted search.
If you assign this search to field in OINV and link it to oinv.U_BillForm it will work:
SELECT case when $[oinv.U_BillFrom] = 'BLR' then 'Bangalore'
when $[oinv.U_BillFrom] = 'MUM' then 'Mumbai'
when $[oinv.U_BillFrom] = 'GNR' then 'Gandhinagar'
when $[oinv.U_BillFrom] = 'DLH' then 'Delhi'

You don't need the docnum logic at all. Remove it.
If you are trying to change the values in the matrix based on the oinv.U_Billform changing it will NOT work. To do this you must use the SDK or the SBO_SP_TransasctionNotification.

Currently, I use serial process, or default settings, when client-copying.
But I want to implement this in parallel processes.
Due to this, I have to create server group and assign a lot of values to something I don't know!
I want to create a server group, but don't know how to assign values to ones like "Max. requests in queue", "Max. no of logons" and so on.
Could you please advise me how to allocate values to the resourses shown below;
Advanced : 1 *I think "1" is the flag for advanced settings
Max. requests in queue
Max. no. of logons
Max. disp. of own logon
Max. no. of WPs used: *should be the total of SM50, I guess
Min. no. of free WPs

JSTL can figure out what the specific type of the Object is on its own. Just reference the attributes of your bean using the expression language like you would normally do. If you are uncertain print out the classname of the objects in the list like this:
${obj.class.name}where obj is an object from the list. This should print out the name of your beans if hibernate did its job properly. JSTL will know what properties these objects has even if you only pass it an Object reference.

How to detect how many LOV values user selects on a WEBI Prompt

Hello Gurus,
Is there a way to identify how many LOV Values the user selects on a Webi prompt that allows multiple value selection?
For EG: If I have a webi and there's a prompt called State on the WEBI and the user selects "Utah", "Ohio" and "Texas" from the LOV and runs the query; is there a formula I can use to get the value as 3 (no.of selections)? If that's not possible, is there a way to find out if the user has selected more than 1 value?

Hello,
From what I know there is no direct way of figuring it out. But here is a little trick.
Create a variable to capture the user response. Lets call it - State Prompt
It should display the values like this: Utah;Ohio;Texas
Next, get the length of the response string by using the length function.
=Length([State Prompt]). It should give you 15 in our above example.
Now, create another variable [let's call it - Replaced State Prompt] where you use Replace function, to replace/remove the ";" from the response string.
=Replace([State Prompt];";";"")
Next, get the new length of the new response string by using the length function.
=Length([Replaced State Prompt]). It should give you 13 as it removed two ";".
Now, do a subtraction and add 1 to get the count.
Overall it should be something like this-
=Length(UserResponse("Enter State")) - Length(Replace(UserResponse("Enter State");";";""))+1
