How to conditionally hide tabs in Webi

We have got a requirement to hide the tabs in WEBI based on userlogins.
Currently we have 2 tabs with 3 to 4 charts in each tab.
Requirement:
1. Conditionally hide the tabs based on user profile.
2. Conditionally hide the charts based on data privileges.
Is this possible in Webi or a work around?

Since BI 4.1 you can go to a group and "customize" the view for each group. but as far I know this cannot be controlled by a formule or condition, just check or not and it is related with the applications and not on a specific report.

Hi There,
I have a database form where in one of the fields I need to hide /show based on if the user selects a copy row option or create a new row.
To explain in details,
1. I have a report and form application created. When the user edits a record, in that page I have added a copy button also, so when the user hits the copy button, the page is reloaded where the user can create a new record with the save button disable and the create button visible. when the user submits the form using Copy the request is set to "COPY' and in the form, one of the fields has conditional display "REQUEST =Expression1" with value "COPY" This works fine.
2. However, on the reports page, there is a "CREATE" button also, where the user can directly create a new record and the request value is "CREATE"
I wanted to add both COPY and CREATE to the conditional display something like
"REQUEST=Expression1" with value "COPY, CREATE" (without quotes)
however, the item does not display. I guess it only accepts one value since its =.
Any suggestions on how the conditional display for an item can be done based on multiple request types?

Hi Sun,
Try changing your condition to a PL/SQL Expression and in expression 1 field add something similar to below and see if it works:
:REQUEST like 'CREATE' or :REQUEST like 'COPY'This is straight off the top of my head and untested.

ReportEngine Java (REBean) does, and you're able to add a Report (and thus a Report Tab) with it.

Near the right-end of the address bar is a white star which can be difficult to see, but look closely. When you wish to bookmark a shortcut to the toolbar, double click the star. A window will open with the name of the webpage. Under that is the folder box which will probably read 'Unsorted Bookmarks'. Click the drop down arrow and change it to 'Bookmarks Toolbar' then click done.
I have several folders on my toolbar such as Music, Mail, etc. in which I add multiple websites. If you wish to add a folder, click the second drop down arrow next to 'Bookmark Toolbar' and click 'New Folder' and give it a name.
To add a bookmark to a folder, again double click the star, make sure you are in Bookmark Toolbar and click one of the two drop down arrows to find the name of the folder.
For other bookmarks use Bookmark Menu. Whatever is added here can be accessed by Bookmarks on the Menu Bar. If your Menu Bar with Bookmark, File, View, etc. is not visible, click the Alt key and they will become visible. To keep the Menu Bar, click View, Toolbars and check Menu Bar.

You need to figure out what you have installed which changed that action to Yahoo from a blank tab, which is the default action in Firefox; and then get rid of that add-on. Then you can can install an add-on which allows you to select what you want in the new tab.

How to use the Hide Tab Bar Command in Yosemite?

I guess I need a lesson in some basic Safari functionality. In Safari 8, when only one page is open (one tab, therefore), the Hide Tab Bar command in the View menu is functional. But, when a second tab is opened, the command is grayed out and the tab bar (at least in my configuration) is on screen with both tabs.
What is the point, therefore, of the Hide Tab Bar command if it is only functional when one tab is open? Or, do I need to configure my Safari differently so it can be functional with many tabs open?

I tried this solution (using CP 5.5) but only to limited success. The TOC search seems to be able to pick up on some of the script but not all. I think it might be chronological, as in it will search within the first part of the script but not in latter parts, but I can't be sure. Are there any limitations to this solution, such as script (within the text box) length? Also, this may or may not be related, but the TOC rearranged and renamed all of my slides. For example, I have no duplicate slide labels and they are in order within the project, but my TOC looks like this:

Slide 4
Slide 21
Slide 40
Slide 70
Slide 16
etc...
As the project plays, the TOC status checkmarks jump around the list, appearing next to the corresponding slide (although in most cases mislabeled). Any guidance correcting these issues would be most helpful. Please let me know if you need any more information.

If the three values of the three columns are in the same number of rows of in different row or the tablix just have one row?
Did the three fields in the tablix you want to conditional hide or in a different Tablix
It is better you give us some snapshot of the report in both design and preview mode and some sample data.

You can modify the query to get the rownumber to add in the report, then use expression as below:

If the three values in different columns and different rows, you can create three hide parameters (AccountName,InvoiceType,TFiles)for each fields and find the correct index (begin with 0)to put in the parameter to get the correct value(TESTAccount,1,0):
for example:
Parameters!AccountName.Value(0)="TESTAccount"
Parameters!InvoiceType.Value(1)=1
Parameters!TFiles.Value(2)=0
Using below expression to hide the tablix:
=IIF(Parameters!AccountName.Value(0)="TESTAccount" or Parameters!InvoiceType.Value(1)=1 or Parameters!TFiles.Value(2)=0, true, false)
Note: make sure the order of the value in the parameter dropdown list is the same as that in the report.

The Tabular Form Element based on item_type column of SQL query is Displayed As Select List (based on LOV) referencing a named list of values which have the following properties
Display Value     Return Value
Hardware Asset    HA
Backup Device     BD
Computer System   HSThe Tabular Form Elements for the report attributes for hardware_id, backup_dev_id and hardware_os_id are all Displayed As Select List (Based on LOV).
What I want to do is only display the Select List for the FK depending on the value of the Select List on Item Type, e.g.
Item_Type is 'HA' then display Select List for hardware_id, do not display and set to NULL the Select Lists for backup_dev_id and hardware_os_id.
Item_Type is 'BB' then display Select List for backup_dev_id, do not display and set to NULL the Select Lists for hardware_id and hardware_os_id.
Item_Type is 'HS' then display Select List for hardware_os_id, do not display and set to NULL the Select Lists backup_dev_id and hardware_id.
There are properties on elements to conditionally display it but how do we reference the values of the SQL query Updateable region? they are not given a page item name?
Also on the Tabular For Elements there is an Edit tick against a report item - however when you go to the Column Attributes there is not a property with which you can control the Edit setting.
What's the best way of implementing this requirement in APEX 3.1?
