How to configure JCA DBAdapter logging in OSB 11.1.1.4.0?

How to configure JCA DBAdapter logging in OSB 11.1.1.4.0?
I have a project deployed to the new 11.1.1.4.0 version of OSB.
Under previous versions, a $DOMAIN-diagnostic.log file was maintained and contained a record of the activity of the various JCA DB pollers I had configured.
In the most recent version, this is not the case.
I'd like to know if I can restore the old behaviour...
The best solution I could come up with is to change a setting in $DOMAIN/alsbdebug.xml, thus:
<java:sb-debug-logger xmlns:java="java:com.bea.wli.debug">
<java:alsb-jca-framework-adapter-debug>true</java:alsb-jca-framework-adapter-debug>
</java:sb-debug-logger>
With this change the pollers put their logging output into the $DOMAIN.log file.
How can I get the output back into $DOMAIN-diagnostic.log?

Alex,
Oracle B2B does not support custom HTTP listening channels as of now. There are below two default HTTP listening channels for async Request-Response scenarios -
http://host:port/b2b/transportServlet or http://host:port/b2b/httpReceiver
and below one is used for synchronous request-response scenarios -
http://host:port/b2b/syncreceiver
where host - B2B server host and port is B2B server port.

  • OWB 10gR2 : How to configure ctl and log locations for Sql*Loader mappings?

    Hi all,
I'm using OWB 10gR2 to load data in tables with Sql*Loader mappings.
In my project I have a datafile module and an Oracle module.
When creating an sql*loader mapping in the oracle module, there is two properties for this mappings that I want to modify. The first is Control File Location and the second is Log File Location. Values for those properties are equal to the data file module location. When trying to change those values I can only chose "Use module configuration location".
Somebody knows how to configure those properties with different locations as the one of the flat file module?
What I want to do is to store the data file in one directory, and control file and log file in other directories.
    Thank you for your help.
    Bernard

    Hi,
You're right, my problem is that the dropdown only show the location associated with the flat file location even if I have other file locations created in the design repository.
The good news is that I have found the solution to solve the problem :
    1) Edit the file module and in tab "Data locations", add the locations you want to use for control file and log file.
    2) Open configuration window of the mapping and then the dropdown for properties Control File Location and Log File Location show new locations
I have tested my mapping after changing those properties and it's working.

It's not really "removed". The system log is "rotated" out, at least partly to avoid having it grow too large. The older log information is in a series of files named like "system.log.0.bz2, system.log.1.bz2, etc. A file of type ".bz2" is a particular type of compressed file. Eventually the oldest of those files will be deleted. If you want to keep those forever, I'd copy off the oldest of those files on a regular basis to some other location.

  • How to configure a seperate log file in ALSB

We have arequirement where we need to write ALSB Log action statements into a seperate log file.
Can some one explain on this.

You are right, that should work. Have you tried to do System.getEnv() and list all the env variables in the JVM? Maybe you are not querying with the right KEY since it is case sensitive.
In a cluster logging everything to a single file is typically a bad idea, because it creates a botleneck on the OS and does not help debug local issues. If this is an important requirement for you I would consider using a database or a JMS queue for this. In last resourt you can also use some shared file system.
I don't think there is anything provided out of the box by WLS logger. You can ask the WLS experts.

  • How to rotate Apache2.2/logs/access_log without restarting AMS 5.0.1 on AWS.

The Adobe Media Server 5.0.1 docs say that Logging.xml controls rotating of the Apache access_log file but its not rotating and I don't see how to configure it in Logging.xml.
Logging.xml takes care of the AMS log files like Access.log but it doens't seem to handle the Apache logs. I've seen where you use logrotated to rotate the Apache logs, then issue a "reload" to the service, but AMS controls Apache and the AMS service only supports start, stop, and reload which takes a minimum of 5 to 10 seconds to reload the server. How can I rotate the Apache logs using Logger.xml or how can I issue a reload directly to Apache when the AMS scripts control it?
    http://help.adobe.com/en_US/adobemediaserver/configadmin/WS5b3ccc516d4fbf351e63e3d119f2926 0bd-7ffa.2.3.html

To rotate the apache logs you need to pipe them through a third party tool (i saying that there may be something in apache I may have read once, however here is a tried and tested solution assuming you are on linux), Logging.xml is only for FMS (well it was for 4.5.5 and before).
    Download cronolog (http://cronolog.org/)
    Change your log directive
    From: CustomLog "logs/access.log" combined
    To: CustomLog "| /mnt/apps/cronolog/sbin/cronolog -S /mnt/fms/Apache2.2/logs/access_log /mnt/fms/Apache2.2/logs/%Y%m%d_access.log" combined
    Restart apache
You logs will now roll daily on the first time they are written toie the logs dont roll at midnight, but the first time they are written to after midnight (so if no one access your server on a day, there will be no log for that day)
The above example makes the assumptiosn:
FMS apache is installed in /mnt/fms/Apache2.2 and you want to use its log dir
    cronolog installed in /mnt/apps/cronolog/

I don't know how to determine which server the DBAdapter is targetted to.
But I found the following information:
    Under Deoloyment->DBAdapter->Monitoring->Outbound Connection Pools
Outbound Connection Pool Server State Current Connections Created Connections
    eis/DB/SOADemo AdminServer Running 1 1
    eis/DB/SOADemo soa_server1 Running 1 1
    eis/DB/soademoDatabase AdminServer Running 1 1
    eis/DB/soademoDatabase soa_server1 Running 1 1
The DbAdapter is related to the following files:
    C:\ Oracle\ Middleware\ home_11gR1\ Oracle_SOA1\ soa\ connectors\ DbAdapter. rar
    C:\ Oracle\ Middleware\ home_11gR1\ Oracle_SOA1\ soa\ DBPlan\ Plan. xml
I unzipped DbAdapter.rar, opened weblogic-ra.xml and found that there's only one data source is registered:

Then I decided to use eis/DB/SOADemo for testing.
For JDeveloper project, after I deployed to weblogic server, it works fine.
But for OSB project referencing wsdl, jca and mapping file from JDeveloper project, still got the same error as follows:

You may need to configure the connection settings in the deployment descriptor (i.e. DbAdapter.rar#META-INF/weblogic-ra.xml) and restart the server. This exception is considered not retriable, likely due to a modelling mistake.
    It almost drive me crazy!!:-(
What's the purpose of 'weblogic-ra.xml' under the folder of 'C:\Oracle\Middleware\home_11gR1\Oracle_OSB1\lib\external\adapters\META-INF'?

  • JCA DBAdapter configuration using JDeveloper 11g

    hello,
I cannot create correct wsdl files for the jca WSDL-based business service :-(
I try to use JCA dbAdapter in OSB 10.3.1
    following guideliness from
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13159_01/osb/docs10gr3/jcatransport/transport.html
    and
OSB DBAdapter Demo (but it refers to JDev 10gR3 :-( which allows creation of DBAdapter component)
in Jdev 11g, I can create such components only inside SOA project
and no bindings are generated inside the wsdl (they are in composite.xml)
is there a way to automatically use the wizard to create the correct wsdl (or I have to write it on my own)
    thanx in advance
    regards
    yannis
Edited by: ydes on May 11, 2010 1:01 PM

    Hi Yannis,
You can use the DB Adapter created with JDeveloper 11g on OSB 11g.
The only difference from OSB/JDev 10g is that you will import a JCA file (along with WSDL and its dependencies) from JDev 11g into OSB 11g.
Then you just need to right click on the JCA file and select 'Oracle Service Bus / Generate Service' and OEPE will automatically create the business service and the respective wsdl.
    Hope it helps.

  • How to find out logs related to which server, If i have 2 WFE's in the farm. How to configure logs path?

    Hi,
I got this doubt, when searching logs on the servers. I have 2 WFE's in my farm, I got an error from enduser. So in which WFE server i need to check the logs.
How to configure logs path. Is it is possible to specify logs path on our own instead of 14 hive folder.
    Badri

That is a really bad idea, especially with idle disconnects and other unreliability of CIFS.
You should instead check out the command
Merge-SPLogFiles which will allow you to combine ULS logs from multiple servers into a single file.
You can certainly specify your own path, but the path must be available on all servers. For example, if you specified D:\Logs, D:\Logs must exist on all SharePoint servers within the farm.

  • Osb 11 : How to configure tuxedo business services in a clustered domain.

    Hi,
We have a platform with a clustered domain Osb ( 1 admin server and 2 managed servers dispatch on several physical servers) and two Tuxedo instances offering the same service exported in 2 different gateways on each Tuxedo instance.
How to configure a business service with tuxedo transport working on this platform with failover and load balancing ?

Thanks for the answer but it doesn't work.
The fact is that we work on OSB 11, not directly in WebLogic.
And Osb always modify the WTC configuration even if we modify it before in weblogic.
To define a business service with multiple remote access points and apply a load balancing algorythm, Osb need an URI for each remote access point (not for each imported service).

I am sorry to tell you, but the Cisco IPS Sensors do not send Syslog messages. Your only options for sending signature event information are:
SDEE (an TLS Encrypted XML formatted message) the sensor is the SDEE Host and your event receiver (MARS, IME, Intelitactics, etc) is the client.
SNMP Traps - You need to set the "Action" on each signature you want the sensor to send a trap.
