How to configure MS Loopback Adapter in Windows 7
Hello all,
I installed SAP NetWeaver 7.02 SP06 ABAP Trial Version mainly to teach myself some
WebDynpro Programming for ABAP. Unfortunately this does not work correctly.
I created a View in a Web Dynpro Component and the Layout Preview does not work.
I activated the services suggested in
http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/index?rid=/library/uuid/30129979-011c-2e10-fb9b-a60e0d704c1d&overridelayout=true
and did use the report RSICF_SERVICE_ACTIVATION with the variants
WEB DYNPRO ABAP
WEB DYNPRO ABAP DESIGN TIME
WEB DYNPRO ABAP TEST APPS.
In Addition I have set the FQDN as described in the document. I think the problem is the
MS Loopback Adapter. It is displayed with "No connection" in the Network and Sharing Center. I have no idea
how to change this. I have set the IP Adress to the on suggested in the Installation Instructions (10.10.0.10, Subnet-Mask 255.255.255.0) but the Loopback Adapter is displayed with no connection.
If I call a test webdynpro with the Hostname "localhost" it does work, so I think the webserver is running.
Any ideas ?
How do I set up the MS Loopback adapter under Windows 7 correctly ?
Thank you in advance,
Axel
Hi Axel,
Now that you know your local network works correctly for a computer not connected to internet or intranet, you have to do this:
1- For "No Connection" error (it is not necessary for the sap system to work), it's normal.
Create a local intranet with a 2nd computer if possible and make a configuration for home network after you will see "Connected"
2-Use of Pc hostname
You must configure the "profile parameters" by using transaction RZ10 and activate services (it's not easy, you have to take your time).
3- Webdynpro
To see the result of the webdynpro appli, you may know that not all web browser versions are compatible. The recent browsers don't work, use iexplorer8 or mozilla but not google ==> you will solve the problem of "timeout".
After that:
Activate the "internet communication framework" by using Transaction SICF. It takes you to "Maintain Services" and then fill Hierarchy Type ==>services, execute to reach at this step:
default_host/sap/bc/gui and icf ( If you've installed sap java, you will see both sap and sap_java)
do a mouse right click and select "Activate Service" and choose activate all.
You can now test the sample via web browser by using locahost.
Best regards.

How to configue "Microsoft Loopback Adapter" ?
Hi,
I have Oracle 11GR1,Win XP. with DHCP enabled.
My conputer gets dynamic IP on connection to internet, so i want to install "*Microsoft Loopback Adapter*".
For that i visited this link:
http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B1930601/install.102/b14316/reqs.htm#BABGHEFB_
There, in section 2.4.5.3, Installing a Loopback Adapter on Windows 2003 or Windows XP,
step 20,they said to edit host file.
In this step i have some confusion:
>For example:
>10.10.10.10 mycomputer.mydomain.com mycomputer
What to write in above line in place of mydomain.com ?In above example mycomputer is the computer name.In my case
my computer name is user-5ef511de5
so , i wrote
10.10.10.10 user-5ef511de5 user-5ef511de5
This gave unexpected behaviour. That i was unable to connect on DB through any tool.
Please tell what exactly to write in that host file ?
My computer in standalone computer that frequently gets connected to internet via dial up connection.bootstrap wrote:

)Now, how do you think a connection is going to be established when your listener supports no services??
You may try this:
1. Make a static entry in listener for your database
or
2. Wait for sometime, so that pmon automatically registers the instance with listener
or
3. fire the command: sqlplus > alter system register;

How to configure apache for ssl in windows platform
hi all,
can anyone help me expalin how to configure apache for ssl in windows platform.George,
I would take the following 'first steps'
1)Install Apache20 on your Windows machine following the Apache online documentation
http://httpd.apache.org/docs-2.0/misc/tutorials.html
2)Make sure you can 'serve up' static HTML content from your Apache Server
3)Install Weblogic Server per our online documentation
http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs61/install/index.html
4)Also, make sure you can 'serve up' both static and dynamic (e.g., JSP) content
directly from WLS server
5)Once you have both of the above 'sanity' checks attempt to configure a simple
proxy by ppath or mime type via our online documentation

How to Configure Reciver HTTP Adapter
Hi,
i am doing Proxy-HTTP syncronous scenario.
Proxy will fetch XML file located in one server.
(example: www.yahoo.com/exchange_rate.xml)
i have following problems.
1. How to configure the Reciver HTTP Adapter.
2. What should I use in Address Type.
HTTP Destination or URL Address.
3. If I use HTTP Destination , The length of the field is very short to accomodate complete address.
4. If I use URL address, what should I put in all the fields , like Target host, Service Number, path.
I have URL , something like this, www.yahoo.com/exchangerates.xml
I dont know what to put in Target Host, service name and path.
Please help. thx. BD.Hello,
if you use a HTTP-Destination it uses a rfc-destination.
So you configure first a rfc-destination (in sm59 of type G)
and name it for example RFC_EXAMPLE and then you
use this name for the HTTP-Destination in your adapter.
if you use the url
Target host:
- you can use the ip
Service Number:
- that means the port you want/must use
path:
- in your case: /exchangerates.xml
