  • Creating Selection screen in Report Painter

    Good day everyone,
      Does anyone know how I could create a selection screen in Report Writer? Thanks!
    >Christian<

    Hi,
    Simple Parameters  or Selec-options statements will suffice.
    Eg : Parameters : p_matnr type mara-matnr.
           select-options : s_matnr for mara-matnr.
    In selection screen, you may have selec-options, parameters, check boxes, radio buttons etc.

  • AT SELECTION-SCREEN stops report

    Hello,
    I run a report using the AT SELECTION-SCREEN stmt.
    Below AT SELECTION-SCREEN is an IF ... ELSE block. Within that block the report checks, whether the user input (made in a SELECT-OPTIONS) complies some requirements.
    I check for example, if that what the user types in matches a defined string...
    But if i use an AT SELECTION-SCREEN, the report does not continue after execution after that!
    It returns to the selction screen...
    How can I achieve, that the report continues with execution...?
    Thx,
    holger

    Hi Holger,
    1. This is the default behaviour.
    2. For report purpose execution,
       the event is
       START-OF-SELECTION ( and not at selection-screen)
    3. However u CAN ACHIEVE this by :
       after all validations , use the syntax
       LEAVE TO LIST-PROCESSING.
    4.  I tried the same at my end,
       its working fine.
    5. However, if u use step 3,
       there will be a problem :
       after the execution of report,
      it wil get HANG. ie. it won't then
      get back using the toolbar buttons.
      U may try it for yourself.
    6. Bottom line is:
       use
      START-OF-SELECTION (FOR FINAL EXECUTION OF THE REPORT)

  • How to capture selection-screen values

    Hi,
      How to capture selection-screen values when user pressing F3 or Back button after the display of report.
    Regards,
    Bujji.

    Hi Bujji,
    select-option are actually ranges or more general internal tables with the structure:
    SIGN:    'I'nclusive or 'E'xclusive
    OPTION:  'EQ', 'BT', 'NE', 'GE', 'CP', ....
    LOW:     low value of type of the curresponding "FOR table-field"
    HIGH:     high value of type of the curresponding "FOR table-field"
    You may just code:
    TABLES: mara.
    SELECT-OPTIONS s_matnr FOR mara-matnr.
    LOOP AT s_matnr.
      WRITE: / s_matnr-sign,
               s_matnr-option,
               s_matnr-low,
               s_matnr-high.
    ENDLOOP.
    If you find my answer useful, please don't forget the reward.

    Please check the value of the variable sy-binpt, I believe the value of the variable sy-binpt will be set to 'X'  if the program is called from a bath input, hope this helps.

  • Modification on selection screen of report

    Hello guys,
    I have a requirement where in i need to modify the initial selection screen as per clients requirement. The scenario is as follows:
    Suppose 'EMPLOYEE' and 'PORTFOLIO' are two of the fields of a cube on which the report will be run. Now suppose there are three employees as A, B and C and A handles portfolios X & Y, B handles portfolios W & Y while C handles portfolios X & Z.
    The initial selection screen of report will have two selection fields first as the employee and second as the portfolio.
    When we do F4 at employee it will display A, B and C. Now the requirement is if we F4 at portfolio it should display only the relevant one for that employee.
    For example: if i give employee as A and when i do F4 at portfolio screen it should give me only X and Y and not all the portfolios viz. W, X, Y & Z
    Is there a way to achieve the above scenario????

  • WAD template with BSP Application - how to read selection screen values

    Hello,
    I've created Web template with Web Application Designer (WAD).
    I would like to extend  that page with BSP Application...
    Purpuse of this application is to read some information from tables
    on BW transaction server and display them within Web page.
    Question: How to read selection screen values from a Web template ?
    Thanks for any help,
    Pawel Borowiec

    Hi,
    The selection screen parameters will be on an inputField, so try and get the is of the inputfield generated by doing View source...
    And once you get the inputfield Id, you can read the value in the InputField(InF) by
    using the following code...!
    data : if_value type ref to cl_htmlb_inputfield.
    data : variable type string.
    if_value ?= cl_htmlb_manager=>get_data( request = request
                                                name    = 'inputField'
                                                id      = 'InF_ID_here'
           if if_value->value is not initial.
             variable  = if_value->value.
           endif.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to Configure PeopleTools 8.49 Report Manager ?

    Folks,
    Hello. I am using PeopleTools 8.49. I run a process in Process Scheduler successfully but cannot see its output report. It seems that there is a procedure to configure Report Manager at first so that all reports are stored in Report Manager after run processes in Process Scheduler.
    Do any folks understand how to configure PeopleTools 8.49 Report Manager properly ?
    Thanks.

    Report Manager is a utility in PeopleSoft to view Reports from a different place than Process Monitor. Navigation: Reporting Tools -> Report Manager. It has fours pages: List, Explorer, Administration and Archives.
    PSDSTSRV generates a message after a process gets posted in process monitor in order to display reports in Report Manager - List and Explorer page. Hence Integration Broker setup needs to be done and PUB/SUB App Server Processes required to be up and running. Here are the configuration steps:
    - Navigate to PeopleTools -> Integration Broker -> Integration Setup -> Service Operations
    - IB needs to be configured for four services
    •PSRF_FOLDER_CREATE
    •PSRF_REPORT_CREATE
    •PSRF_REPORT_DATE_CHANGE
    •PSRF_REPORT_DELETE
    - Open Service Operation PSRF_FOLDER_CREATE and make it active in General tab.
    - In Handlers tab add a handler and make it Active. Handler name might differ from the screenshots's name but the Application Class definitons must match. Package name is same as the service operation name.
    - In Routings tab, add a routing definition and make it active. Not sure, but I think only one routing definition must be active at a time... Sender and Receiver node are the local nodes - in my case it is PSFT_HR... to confirm your local node, go to PeopleTools -> Integration Broker -> Integration Setup -> Nodes and search for node...
    - Repeat the above activity for rest of the services PSRF_REPORT_CREATE, PSRF_REPORT_DATE_CHANGE, and PSRF_REPORT_DELETE also. Configuration is almost similar e.g., make the service active in general tab, Add a new handler and make it active (class id would differ for all) in handler tab, Add a new Routing Name and make it active in Routings tab.
    You might want to navigate PeopleTools -> Integration Broker -> Integration Setup -> Routings / Services to check your routings or Services definition and status.
    Here completes IB configuration from PIA. A prior understanding of IB setup would help troubleshooting or any kind of configuraiton understanding in case something looks missing here.
    Next step is to start the PUB/SUB App Server Processes... Once these server processes are up and running, reports would get displayed in Report manager - List/Explorer page.
    Of course, basic IB setup is pre-requisite for the above activity to work. This includes Gateway configuration (PeopleTools -> Integration Broker -> Configuration -> Gateway), Gateway Setup Properties (PeopleTools -> Integration Broker -> Configuration -> Gateway -> Gateway Setup Properties), Quick Configuration (PeopleTools -> Integration Broker -> Configuration -> Quick Configuration) where you need to Gateway URLs and IB domains are active.
    let me know i f u have any questions or concerns... they are all delivered nodes by peoplesoft.
    Thanks!!....
