Use the Web Service Proxy wizard in JDeveloper to create a class that calls your Web service, and then call this class from code in your AM.

  • How to integrate backend web dynpro abap application in Portal 7.3?

    Hello,
before Portal 7.3 I was able to integrate a web dynpro abap application as iView in the portal. Now I don't get the point on how to do it. I cannot find a "normal" iview that enables me to give the backend and the application name. The possibilty to create iView based on remote source looks strange because I don't want to upload the application I just want to do my normal user/pass mapping and show the applicaton via iView.
Somehow I don't get the point with the new version. Could someone give me a hint where to find more information regardings this problem`?
    Thanks a lot,
      Vanessa

    Hi Vanessa,
Could someone tell me if I should see the SAP Web Dynpro for ABAP iView template in the long list of available templates when I create a new iView?
You will 'SAP Web Dynpro iView' option in the list while creating iview from template.Create and change the property platform to 'Web Dynpro for ABAP'.
Is it correct not to use the remote source option? I think yes because otherwise he would upload the app to the portal, if I am not wrong.
If i understood your question correct, then You can use this option as well to create iview.Atlast it wil create only iview for the application not the application itself in the portal.

  • CRM2007 How to add a Web Dynpro ABAP application to a CRM business role

I am investigating CRM2007 UI framework and I cannot seem to find a way to add a custom made Web Dynpro ABAP Application (created in CRM 4.0) to a business role, or how to add a custom transaction created in classic ABAP (transaction created via se93, progam created via se38). Whatever I do, I only see BSP components. I am using transaction BSP_WD_CMPWB.
Next to this it seems you can add/integrate Visual Composer applications to (there is an entry in spro called "integration of the visual composer in BI"). However, I presume we first have to meet the requirements for the portal integration in SAP CRM 2007 as described in spro. If somebody knows how this works, that would be great!
    kind regards
    Angelique Heutinck

    Hello Angelique,
It should be possible to call web dynpro applications from the L-shape menu of CRM UI (check transaction CRMC_UI_NBLINKS). As for the old GUI transactions, you can embedd them also via transaction launcher using CRMC_UI_NBLINKS (search for "transaction launcher" in this forum, there is plenty of information on it).

  • Web Logic Portal

    Hi All
I installed SOA middleware, and installed web logic server, I want to install WLP to use portal technology. I read some articles about installation and upgrading, but I didn't understand anything. :(.
Can any one help me please in how to install or upgrade my WLS installation to the version that contains the Eclipse IDE???

    Hi
    1. Weblogic Portal 10.3.2 DOES include internally Weblogic Server 10.3.2 also. Infact any Weblogic Portal version includes Weblogic Server with same version and additionally all Portal related stuff. SO all you do is, just install Weblogic Portal 10.3.2 in a new Home. There is NO Need to install Weblogic Server separately like WLS 10.3.4. Infact even if you install WLS 10.3.4, you CANNOT install just Portal on top of this.
So uninstall WLS 10.3.4. And install WLP 10.3.2 and you are all set. After installation, you can see that the folders of WLP 10.3.2 do include all WLS stuff also.
And as mentioned, right now there is no Portal that works with WLS 10.3.4 as far as I know. All you have is just WLP 10.3.2 and you have to use only this version that includes WLS 10.3.2 internally.
Finally, the error you are seeing is a valid error based on my above explaination. You are trying to install WLP 10.3.2 on WLS 10.3.4 and this is what it complains. Worst case, you can install WLS 10.3.2 and top of this WLP 10.3.2 and choose existing home. But there is no need for this. Just install WLP 10.3.2 alone.

  • How to implement google search in portal application

    Hi,
I am using  "http://api.google.com/GoogleSearch.wsdl" file to implement google search in portal application. but i am not able to get the search result. how to implement google search. is this "http://api.google.com/GoogleSearch.wsdl" is vaild now ?. how to achieve the soultion.
    Regards,
    Shanthakumar.

    Hi Shanthakumar,
The "GoogleSearch.WSDL" is no longer available as google has replaced it with the new AJAX based searching and they have eventually removed it from public use as well from 7th September 2009. So, I would imagine you would not be able to use the earlier WSDL file for google search. You might have to look in using the new "AJAX Search API". For more information have a look the following links. You can notice "No Longer Available" at the top of the page.

  • Visitor entitlements have disappeared in Web Logic Portal console

    Hi all,
Please help! We have an issue whereby our users no longer have permission to access parts of our web application. Upon further investigation, when looking in the Portal console under visitor entitlements, we see the following message:
There are no visitor entitlement roles to display.
We have checked the portal database, and can see the roles are still in there, but aren't being retrieved by the application. We can also add new roles through the console, which are persisted in the database, but these too do not show in the console.
This had previously been working, and we are not sure what has changed.
Please advise what further information I can provide to help resolve this!
    Kind regards,

  • How to create session varibales in portal application?

    Hi,
I want to declare a session varibale in my portal component.
    How do I do it?

    Hi Anagha Bhat,
There are two types of storage methods.
    1. Volatile - data can be lost when session ends => temporary
    2. Non Volatile - data storage is permanent
Session Objects as we know are for storing session variables and using them in other Dyn pages
    These methods are Volatile methods
Please check the below links for 4 different ways to store volatile data

  • Database Access from Web Center Portal Application

    Hi,
I have a requirement to store user preferences in database. These preferences will be fetched at the time of user login and page will be rendered accordingly.
I was just wondering should I use Entity objects/view object for DB interaction or should I go for eclipselink.
Please guide which will be the best way keeping performance, maintenance stuff in mind.
    Thanks,
    VN

I am sorry I missed the environment details.
I am building oracle webcenter application using ADF framework.
I cannot use MDS as my user preferences requirements are as follows
1.Save a certain tab as preferred on a certain page.
2.Bookmark a product as favorite (Product list will be displayed as dynamic content fetched from UCM)
3.Make a certain page as home page
I did some R&D and concluded that these features cannot be implemented without customization (please correct and guide if I am wrong)
Now I have a custom solution where we will save user prefs in custom DB.
Coming back to the original question - I need to do some light DB interactions and I am wondering if I can use entity /view object to fetch and update date in DB. Or this is not recommended for such a small degree of DB interaction and I should go for Eclipse link.
    Hope it gives more clarity.
    Please help.
    Thanks,
    VN

  • How can I keepalive for 2 different applications without using script?

Have a CSS with 2 web server loadbalanced. Initially the keepalive was set to ssl but now the client would like to add another keepalive type http. How can i do this without writing script. Though there is quite number of example in the forum but I'm still confused. Is there any clear and complete sample config for this type of installation.
Below is the example of working config of my client.
    service server1
    ip address 10.150.1.10
    keepalive type ssl
    active
    service server2
    ip address 10.150.1.11
    keepalive type ssl
    active
    Owner Layer3
    content Layer3_a
    add service server1
    add service server2
    vip address 10.150.1.12
    balance aca
    advance-balance sticky-srcip

If you want to use multiple keepalives for a service, you must use a script. The alternative would be to create 2 content rules, and 2 sets of services, one for port 80 (or whatever) and one for port 443 (or whatever), and use http for one and ssl for the other.

  • FAQ: How can I make my Flash Catalyst application scale/use a liquid layout?

Flash Catalyst CS5 currently only supports applications with fixed dimensions. Custom components you create in Catalyst have absolute sizing.
If you want to experiment with creating resizable applications (liquid layouts) and components in a preview of the next version of Flash Catalyst, codenamed "Panini",  you can find more information here:
    Introducing Adobe Flash Catalyst "Panini"
    Download Adobe Flash Catalyst "Panini"
    Adobe Flash Catalyst "Panini" help
Keep in mind that Flash Catalyst "Panini" preview is meant for exploration and testing, not real production. If you are doing real production work, here are some options that work with Flash Catalyst CS5 and Flash Builder:
    Liquid Layouts
If you are building an application that requires relative constraints, you can take the FXP file from Flash Catalyst into Flash Builder, and apply constraints there so that your components resize according to your application dimensions.
For more info, see this Help topic:
Using constraint-based layouts in Flash Builder
    SWF Scaling
If you want your swf to scale, without relative constraints, there's a simple way to make that work in Builder as well. Simply save out your FXP file from Flash Catalyst and import it into Flash Builder. Open up the "Main.mxml" file. Remove the width and height attributes on the Application tag, and add the attribute:
    preinitialize="systemManager.stage.scaleMode='showAll'
The entire Application tag should look something like:
    <s:Application xmlns:fx="http://ns.adobe.com/mxml/2009"
                      xmlns:s="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/spark"
                      xmlns:d="http://ns.adobe.com/fxg/2008/dt"
                      xmlns:fc="http://ns.adobe.com/flashcatalyst/2009"
                      xmlns:ATE="http://ns.adobe.com/ate/2009"
                      xmlns:ai="http://ns.adobe.com/ai/2009"
                      xmlns:flm="http://ns.adobe.com/flame/2008"
                      xmlns:lib="assets.graphics.*"
                      xmlns:components="components.*"
                      backgroundColor="#FFFFFF"
                      preloaderChromeColor="#FFFFFF"
                      preinitialize="systemManager.stage.scaleMode='showAll'"
                      >
There are a couple other scale modes you may want to try, such as "exactFit", which are outlined at the below link:
    Flash Stage Scale Modes
Finally, you will have to adjust the object embed code in your html page to set the size of your swf.

you can`t. allow your application internet access without the network admin defining an exception for it specifically.
If you have admin rights use the router`s/proxy`y configuration software to allow an exception.
