    Hi,
I am unable to connect to the Microsoft SQL Server 2005 using JDBC Connection. Kindly tell me steps to connect to the SQL Server using JDBC. The error message that I am getting while creating a data source is :

and set the path of the CLASSPATH to a folder which name has no spaces
    and tried Class.forName("com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver");
    and Class.forName("com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver");

  • Hi Pls help me, How to work with SQL 2000 Database

I have database using SQL 2000, How to connect and work with SQL 2000 Database. thanks

Log on to www.SQLite.org that may help you.
Using the Sqlite3.dll and after customizing your code with SQLite3.h you can read and write on to that DB.

  • Trouble connecting to SQL 2014 Database using Power Query

I am trying to connect to a SQL 2014 Database using Power Query.  My connection string requires that I set the "Application Intent" setting to a value of "readonly", The connection parameter is required by SQL 2014 because of
    the failover cluster configuration.
I have successfully been able to connect via PowerPivot with the following connection string:
    Provider=SQLNCLI11;Data Source=<Server>;Persist Security Info=False;Integrated Security=SSPI;Initial Catalog=<DB>;Application Intent=readonly
I cannot seem to find the correct syntax to connect via SQL 2014.  This is the syntax that I have been attempting:
    Sql.Database("<Server>", "<DB>",[Application Intent=readonly])
    Is this currently supported?
    Thanks, Barbara

It's not yet, I'm afraid, but it's something we're aware of and have vague plans to address :/.

    Hi,
Try to find a DataBase driver for MS SQL ( type 4 which is a pure java) first and put it on the class path i.e under ../lib
Then in your sevlet, load the DriverManager and from it get a connection to the database as per JDBC spec.

  • Cannot connect MS SQL Server2005 by using JDBC(JNDI) connection

    Hi all,
I met a problem when I was trying to create a JDBC(JNDI) connection in crystal report 2008, the following error dialog shows up, it said:
Database Connector Error: 'SQL Exceptions: [SQL State:] S1000 [Error Message:] [Microsoft][SQL Native Client]Connection is busy with results for another command'
here is the steps how to reproduce this problem:
    1) create a DSN(Data source name) in ODBC Data Source Administrator dialog, suppose the DSN is test
(and the DSN test show it works well)
    2) start up Crystal Report 2008, click New to create a new report, the Standard Report Creation Wizard show up
    3) expand Create New Connection node, then double click JDBC(JNDI) note
    4) the JDBC (JNDI) dialog shows up, chooose JDBC Connection in the dialog, and fill the empty fields with:
       Connection URL: jdbc:odbc:test
       Database Classname:sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver
    5) click next, it comes to the next pannel, and fill the empty fields with:
        Database: MyTestDB
        UserID: sa
        Password: sa
    6) then click Finish buttion.
    7) a new connection is created, but when I expand the new created connection, an error dialog shows up
Database Connector Error: 'SQL Exceptions: [SQL State:] S1000 [Error Message:] [Microsoft][SQL Native Client]Connection is busy with results for another command'
does anyone knows what's wrong with my setting? any help would be appreciated.
    Best Regards
    Tian-liang

    Hi Tian-liang,
Try using Microsofts JDBC driver rather than Suns. Also search these forums, other have run into the same issue.

I have no problem with my code connecting to an Oracle 8 database, just 9i.
I'm trying to debug in Visual Cafe (JDK 1.1.7) and have both the classes111.zip and the nls_charset11.zip in my CLASSPATH.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

If you're using 8i 8.1.7.1 or 8i 8.1.7.0 thin JDBC drivers on NT, then you can get them to connect to 9i by applying the 8i 8.1.7.1 Patch available at:
    http://technet.oracle.com/software/tech/java/sqlj_jdbc/htdocs/solsoft.html
You might have to register/login first.
Basically, it's just a case of replacing a class already in your classes111.zip or classes12.zip with the class in the patch.
Took me a while to find this, but it worked first time after patching. Hope this helps.

  • How to connect to HR sample database using ODBC?

This is for Oracle Express running on Ubuntu 8.10.
The SQLConnect ODBC call requires datasourcename/dsn, userid and password as parameters.
What are these for the HR sample database?

    Many thanks.
I have only just downloaded Oracle Express and have never used Oracle before, so I do not understand the meaning of service name.
The userid and password for HR are both hr, which just leaves the dsn.

  • How to connect to the mysql database using applet from remote PC

    Hii All..
I am also facing a problem.
My web server and mysql server are running on the same PC.
when i connect to the database from the same PC.
Its connection but when i am trying to connect to the database from the different PC its giving error and not finding the driver "com.mysql.jdbc.Driver" because this is there on the server PC and applet runs on the client side..
So to load the deriver on the client side so that it can run the applet to make the database connection on the remote PC.
    Thanks
    Uttam

You are missing the library on the client.
It must be moved to the client.
Just like any other library that an applet requires.
And that has nothing to do with JDBC.
There are certainly way(s) to do it. Perhaps a forum that addresses applets, web usage or guis would provide an answer.

  • Code for connecting to a Microsoft SQL server database

    Hi
What is the code for connection to a Microsoft SQL server database using JSP? I know the structure of the code but i do not know the driver name. Any importing required besides java.sql?
    Thanks

Back up there. JSP's should never contain any
database code. You should write a bean to handle
database transactions and call that from your JSP.I agree wholeheartedly with that.
Why didn't you consult google to help you with your
problem? The answer is on the MS website.
    http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-u
s;313100This is correct, too. Isn't Google installed on your machine?

  • How to connect to a remote database in a lan??

Hey guys......! I need to connect to a remote msaccess database in a lan and import its data into my mysql database.I know how to connect to a msaccess database using ODBC.But I don't know how to connect to a remote database without creating dsn in the machine where database is.One thing more...I want to know, how can I import data into my mysql database?? Is there any query for that or simply I have to select data from msaccess database and insert into tables of my database??Please, send me the source code in the forum itself and explain also. This is the last feature of my project. So I need to do it as soon as possible.

If the mdb file in LAN, Just map the network drive.[Windows Explorer/Tools/Map Network Drive] in your system from which we need to access the remote mdb. Then go to ODBC Data Source Admin.. and create a new data source[Microsoft Access Driver] . After clicking the Select button, you will find a Network Drive will be visible on your Drives drop down. Select the map Drive, If not visible then just click the Network button there and map the network path where the mdb files reside. And use the JdbdOdbcDriver class to connect from java.
