How to consume a customer WebService which is outside of SAPs network

Hi,
How to call a WebService-Provider which is running in a foreign/customer network? My WebService Consumer I created on a Netweaver AS 7.11 ABAP which is running in SAPs corporate network.
I think I have to use a Proxy-Server. But how I do that and what are the settings for the Proxy-Server?

yes, I have created a "Service Consumer" which you call "Service Proxy".
But the problems is the SAP Firewall. I want to call an external "Service Provider" so I need to use a Proxy Server to pass the firewall.
So with the word "Proxy server" I don't mean the "Service Consumer" (I know how to create that). I mean a "Proxy" to go out of SAP corporate network.
But how can I set up a Service Consumer with this proxy and how are the settings for the SAP proxy?

For instance, I created a custom field (say, custom_field_1) on a screen of standard SAP tx(say, ME21N) by using screen exit. And in order to populate the data into it (custom_field_1), will use the Function user exits of this Tx(ME23N).
1) In next step, Where Where I have to add this field, apart from appending the same custom field in EKKO/EKPO table or any other related table; Extending the corresponding IDOC or creating a new Custom ÍDOC type? like What about BAPI?
2) If I got a text file with the data (including the data for this custom_field_1 too) and I have been asked to load it into SAP, then, I decided to use BAPI (say, BAPI_PO_CREATE or CREATE1) to create the data, So, How to handle this custom field, I mean, In which BAPI structure I have to pass this custom_field_1 data? ( Iguess, for some BAPIs EXTENSIONIN structures are provided, sorry if am wrong!)

for example if you added field in the VBAP table then you can pass the custome field values like below
     move 'BAPE_VBAP' to lwa_extension-structure.
      lwa_bape_vbap-vbeln = lwa_final-vbeln.
      lwa_bape_vbap-posnr = lv_posnr.
      move lwa_final-yyslotid to lwa_bape_vbap-new custome field.

Need to find All Custom Reports which are based on SAP standard reports

Hi Specialists,
I would like to find out all the customized reports which are a copy of SAP standard reports in the client's system.
For Eg. RPCP11G0 is the SAP standard report which has been customized & it's code has been re-written into a Custom report i.e. ZGBPPYMP001_P11D.
I would like to know all such occurences in the system.
Steps already done:
1) Tried searching with RPR_ABAP_SOURCE_SCAN & RS_ABAP_SOURCE_SCAN.

it's only possible with an tool-program
when your developers have not change the line with the REPORT-command.
e.g.
standard-report is RAGITT01
copy is ZC_RAGITT01 or sth like this
but report line is unchanged in copy: "REPORT RAGITT01 MESSAGE-ID AB..."
solution:
select all reports from TRDIR/TADIR from your Z/Y-device classes
and analyse the reports with
read report ZC_RAGITT01 into wa.
and use find for searching 'report-command'.
and check whether the result of that finding is an standard abap

How to include a static file which is outside Applicaton Context in JSF?

I need to inlcude lot of static contents which are residing in outside Application Context root in JSF.? is there any better way to do include static files which are outside the Context root?

How to consume 3rd Party WSDL which contains the Include statement

I have a 3rd Party WSDL I am trying to consume using the BizTalk WCF Consume Wizard.
When I try and consume the WSDL it gives me blank XSDs and Binding files. It does produce the Port Types in an Orchestration.
This
article mentions how to use the svcutil tool to get around the use of Import statements but does not give the full command. I have tried svcutil /t:metadata <Path of WSDL> but get an error stating can't load file or assembly.
Any ideas anyone?

How to consume a ABAP webservice in a webdynpro app?

Hi,
I have a BAPI in ABAP that is exposed as a webservice. I want to use this to build a webdynpro app so that i can consume this webservice. This BAPI returns the Employee data. As soon as the person logs into the portal i am going to pass his login id to this BAPI so that it retrieves the Employee data for that user id. But i need to know the procedure of consuming this webservice in a webdynpro app. Any pointers in this regard will be greatly appreciated.

Consumption of a web service is univesal I guess so it wont matter if it is an ABAP webservice. For consumtion of webservice in Web Dynpro you can go through the following tutorials

I searched SDN for printing PDF file but everything is about OTF to PDF and to use fm: CONVERT_OTF which is not the solution for my problem.
I have to build ABAP report which will take the PDF file attached to SAP document (CV02N) and print it.So, which function module or program can I use to print the PDF file?

hi check this,
First create a web service in SAP. The blog by Uwe Kunath descibes this clearly. Then create an Xcode project and use the ASIHTTPRequest wrapper to connect to the web service. Parse the response with the KissXML parser. A more out of the box solution is NetWeaver Gateway. It also let you use SAP web services but it also generates iOs code for you. SAP just released a trial version in de download section.

In detail....
A custom screen has been developed in portals.
Workflow triggers when a new item is created on the custom screen then the workitem gets populated in the respective approver Portal UWL(universal work list).
when the workitem is executed from the UWL then it has to display the custom screen with its header data on the portal.
