How to control transaction isolation with tjdo + jboss

When running TJDO (a jdo-implementation) in conjunction with JBoss, tjdo's PersistanceManagerFactory is created by jboss as a service and can be retrieved using jndi when needed.
This tjdo is configured by a file tjdo-ds.xml in the deployment directory. Does anybody know if it is possible (and how) to control the transaction isolation level of tjdo in this case? The default is serializable, but experience indicates that using read_committed should be more useful if Oracle is used as database.

this can be achieved by using
     <config-property name="TransactionIsolation" type="int">2</config-property>

  • STO- How to control Over delivery with batch split?

    Dear All,
In STO Scenario, how to control the over delivery?
I created a PO for the Intra Company stock transfer & Delivery created in the Background with the T Code VL10B. When I am doing picking using T code VL02N, the system is allowing to add  more than PO Quantity in batches and system displaying the warning message (Specified quantity is greater than the open quantity/Message no. VL287) & allowing to save the deliver document..
Hence plz suggest how to restrict the same.
    Hope it is clear.
    Thanks & Regards

I am also in the same boat.
I searched the forum and got the link STO - How to control Over delivery ?
I checked OSS notes 548914, 386340,215488 but to no avail.
I suggested user exit USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE  in include MV50AFZ1 to my technical team for finding the resolution. So far it is still on hold.
If you come across any other solution, you can update the forum so that it would be helpful for many others.

  • How to set Transaction isolation level in Weblogic 11g

How do I set the transaction isolation level in Weblogic?
Some references that I found suggest that I have to explicitely state the isolation level in the weblogic-ejb-jar.xml per ejb. If I am using EJB 3.0 why would I need to do that?
Can I set this up as a property in the JDBC datasource setup?
Other application servers like Websphere actually allows for this. Can this be done in Weblogic?
Currently I get the following message if I don't set the isolation level:
Transaction attribute: TX_NOT_SUPPORTED Isolation Level: No Isolation Level Set Tx Timeout: 30000
What seems to be happening is that one update of my transaction is getting rolled back and other consequent calls are failing due to foreign key issues due to the first rollback.
I think the issue is related to the isolation level or the transaction time out being too low.
    Any ideas?
BTW: I am using openjpa and using a MS SQLServer. Not sure if that helps the discussion.
    Thanks

  • How to control transactions (WS-AT) between two web services in OSB?

Could someone tell me if the OSB can have 2 diferents web services controlled by an unique transaction?
For instance: in the OSB there are two wsdl, each one with its own Business Service and ProxyService respectively. In my vb.net aplication I started a transaction, called the first web service succefully and from the second web service I got an exception. I expected the first web service undo its work because the vb.net aplication excute a rollback command. Is this possible? How can I do? Any sample or tip will be helpfull.
If I was developing without OSB, I would rely on WS-AT as shown in http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/38793/6-Steps-to-Enable-Transactions-in-WCF for two web services dot net, or for one web service dot net and other java, http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/websphere/library/techarticles/0707_lo/0707_lo.html.
My question is basically: Is still possible to keep a single transaction between multiple web services when they are mediated by OSB? If so, is there a example showing how?

    Hi,
When you create the proxy server, you have to check "Transaction required" box on Message Handling page...

  • How to control one server with multiple clients via TCP/IP

I am wanting to control a single server with multiple clients.  Only one client would be active at a time, so there would be no conflict.  I want to use TCP/IP.  So far, I have programmed a cluster that passes data back to the server with no problems.  The challenge come in when a second client is added to the mix.  I have't been able to figure out how to turn each client on and send the appropriate data and then turn it off so it doesn't keep sending the same data to the server.
Here are the things that I have considered and did some preliminary testing, but don't really know how to impliment:
    1.  Send a numeric on the front of the cluster packet that tells the server that data is on the way.
    2.  Send a boolean on the front of the cluster packet to somehow turn the server TCP/IP on.
The problem I have found is that LabVIEW TCP/IP doesn't like to be turned on and off.  If it doesn't get the data it expects, it goes into a reset mode and that kills the response time.
    Any help?

You should consider implementing a set of simple one-byte commands that can be sent back and forth between the Server and the Clients. You can base all of these ideas off the example in the Example Finder under Networking >> TCP and UDP called Multiple Connections - Server.
You will have two loops in the server VI: one to wait for new connections, and one to send and receive data from the existing connections. For instance, after one of the clients connects, it can request control of the server to send data to it by sending the character "R" for request. Every time the send/receive loop of the Server executes, the first thing it can do is to check all the existing connections to see if any of the clients have sent a control request ("R"). If so, it will create a buffer (array) of control requests. This could be in the form of Connection IDs or indexes in the array for a particular Connection ID. Your choice.
After the Server receives a request for contol, if it is not already under control by another client, then it can send a response to the first client on the control request list. For instance, the server could send the first client a "S" command for send. Note that after the clients send their control request, they should execute a TCP Read and wait indefinitely for the server to respond with the one-byte "S" command. Then, once the client in control is finished sending data to the server, it could send the character "X" telling the Server to release it from control.
The example I mentioned above already does a similar thing. Note how when a client wants to disconnect, they send the letter "Q". You can see this in the Multiple Connections - Client VI. The Server then checks each individual connection to see if it's received this one-byte command, and if it has, it closes the connection to the client. This is what you would want to implement, but instead of having just one command, you'll have to distinguish between a few and build up a buffer of control requests.
Finally, if a client does decide to disconnect in your application, they could send the command "Q" just like the example above. At this point, close the connection and remove that Connection ID from the array of connections. You will also have to handle the case that this client was in the request control waiting line when it disconnected, in which case you need to delete it from that array as well.
This will definitely work for you, but it will take some work. Best of luck!

  • Grid Control: transaction play with trace problem

I'm using OEM Grid Control 10g, an Oracle Application Server 10g, and an Oracle Database 10g, all running on Linux.
I'm trying to use OEM Grid Control for performance tuning.
I've created a Web Application target and a transaction for my web app.
Then I go to Manage Transactions, select my transaction and click "Play". After transaction play, I can click on "Show Results". All works fine.
Instead, "Play with trace" doesn't work. The transaction is played, but when I click on "Show Results" it displays: "Error: Unable to get trace data" and displays only the same informations displayed after a simple "Play" command.
I've searched in log files, in particular $ORACLE_HOME/sysman/log/emoms.log in EMGC10g ORACLE_HOME contains:
    2004-06-23 11:13:46,137 [EMUI_11_13_45_/console/webapp/e2e/trace/postresults] ERROR csm.target endElement.500 - Invalid element: name

  • How to control user input with a button?

How do I control a user input from a dialog box by activating it with a button. I am saying "press zero", then when the user does press zero, it should zero the scale.

The user has only one button they can press.  You should enable the cancel so that the dialog can output an F.
What you have works, but the zero will not occur until the case is activated.  If the insides of the case do not work, that is another story.  Put a pop up in the active case to convince yourself that the case is being entered.
This, what you have, always returns T.

  • Satellite A210 - How to use muldimedia buttons with other than Media Player

    Hi,
is it really not possible to use the Multimedia Buttons (Play, Pause, FF) on the top of my notebook for another application than the Windows Media Player?
Is there any reason for this? I would like to control Winamp with this buttons.
It seems quite sensless to restrict the acces to ONE application of HUNDREDS available, an then this one is the Media Player which is not used by the most people.
I have the Satellite A210 Notbook.
Can you tell my how to control my winamp with this buttons?
    Greetings from Robert

    Hello Robert
Unfortunately there is no solution at the moment. If you check this forum you can find several very interesting threads about multimedia buttons and Winamp player. The fact is that some people have found solution for older notebook models running WXP. Winamp has offered plugin that must be installed.
Now we have new situation. Your notebook runs newest Vista OS and I didnt find any plugin that can help. Problem is that your notebook is designed for Windows Vista and preinstalled OS contains all necessary plugins for running Windows media player as a part of preinstalled operating system.
It is no kind of restriction. With preinstalled OS you can do what you want and if you can find a way to change it do this. You know very well that there are hundreds of different players on the market. You cannot expect that Toshiba take a time and create a plugins for all of them and satisfy the customers all over the world.
