How to convert Tables in ECC to Tables in 4.6C

Friends,
I have a unique requirement where I need to copy the smartform from ECC to 4.6C. Everything seems to beokay except filling the table. I have a table in Main window with 2 line types. first one has only one cell (header) and 2nd one has 3 cells with item data. for each of the cell I have some abap code ( program lines node) and one text element. so when I write define them I see all of them under Table node in a messy format. even I am not able to see which program line code is related to which text element and CELL.
Can anyone advice me how to define in order to place the data in relevent cells ?
Thank you so much for your time in going thru this.
Cheers
Reddy

Hi Reddy,
No problem, these setting can be a bit tricky.
For your text elements, the first element in the row you need to check the 'New line' box and specify your line type, this will put the text in the first cell of that line.  For each other element in the row only check 'new cell', this will put each element into a new cell working across the row.  The 'Skip cells' field should only be filled if you want to leave a cell in the row blank and fill the next one.

Nick

  • How to convert table to control

In my attached VIS, I am giving user input values to controls, the user input control values i am passing to a table and writing text file.how can i do exactly opposite of that what i am doing now.that means reading same text file(that i already written), pass these values to a table and from table pass these values onward to controls. Moreover in time control, when i give time in HH:MMS.it does not appear in the same format in the table or it also does not appear in the same format in text file.why?

You're not using a time control. Your're using a string control and Fract/Exp String to Number doesn't know how to convert HH:MMS to a number. It will only convert the HH before it encounters a separator it can't handle. Use a real time stamp control (on the numeric palette) and convert to a DBL (Numeric>Conversion palette), use a numeric control set for time (Format & Precision), or parse out the string and convert to a numeric by multiplying hours by 3600, minutes by 60, and then adding them both to number of seconds.

    The link did not work
Either in the code - but if you are not happy with this,
    ensure
properties box is open, then select the tables using the tag
    selector
and enter the table width in pixels. Then select a column in
    turn and
add the width of the column in pixels -

  • How to convert maintenance view 'v_t001k_assign' to inner join tables

    Dear friends,
I found I could not select the fields of view 'v_t001k_assign' using SQL, and I found there are some tables joined together as below:
    T001     MANDT     =     T001K     MANDT
    T001     BUKRS     =     T001K     BUKRS
    T001K     MANDT     =     TASSIGN_MM_T001W     MANDT
    T001K     BWKEY     =     TASSIGN_MM_T001W     BWKEY
    T001W     MANDT     =     TASSIGN_MM_T001W     MANDT
    T001W     WERKS     =     TASSIGN_MM_T001W     WERKS
    T001W_EXT     MANDT     =     TASSIGN_MM_T001W     MANDT
    T001W_EXT     WERKS     =     TASSIGN_MM_T001W     WERKS_EXT
So how to convert this maintenance view 'v_t001k_assign' to inner join tables for SQL selection?

    Hi,
You should use the 'Search help exit' to select the data for yourself from the database. Go into the search help maintenance screen and press F1 on field 'search help exit'; follow the links. There is actually a pretty good documentation.

  • How to convert internal table data to PDF format

    HI,
I have an internal table data having one field with 255 chars. length.I want to send that intenal table data as attachemnt with external mail. i am thinking of converting that data into PDF format and use the FM to send the mail. How to convert internal table data to PDF format.
    Kishore

In which format is your data in the internal table currently. Is it returned by a smartform/script or its just data fetched from some database table into an internal table. Since its obvious that the data should appear in the PDF with some Layout, you should be using smartform to format the data properly. See the Link

  • How to convert Internal Table to Cluster Table ?

How to convert Internal Table to Cluster Table ?

    Use  :
EXPORT itab TO DATABASE dbtab(ar) ID key.
    <i>EXPORT obj1 ... objn TO DATABASE dbtab(ar) ID key.
    Additions:
    1. ... = f (for each field you want to export)
    2. ... FROM f (for each field you want to export)
    3. ... CLIENT g before ID key )
    4. ... USING form
    5. ... FROM wa (as last addition or after dbtab(ar))
In an ABAP Objects context, a more severe syntax check is performed that in other ABAP areas. See Implicit field names not allowed with clusters and Table work areas not allowed.
    Effect
Stores a data cluster in database table dbtab. The specified objects obj1 ... objn (fields, structures, or tables) are stored as a single cluster in the database table dbtab.
The specified database table dbtab must have a standard structure.
The database table dbtab is divided into various logically-related sections (ar, two-character name).
You can export a collection of data objects (a data cluster) to a part of the database using a key (field key).
You can import individual data objects from this collection using the IMPORT statement.
    Notes
In classes, you must always assign explicit names to the data objects you want to export, that is, you must use either addition 1 or addition 2.
In classes, you must always specify the work area explicitly, that is, addition 5 is obligatory.
The table dbtab that appears after DATABAE must be declared under TABLES (except in addition 5).
You cannot export the header lines of internal tables. If you specify the name of an internal table with header line, the system always exports the body of the table.
You cannot export data, object, or interface references.
The data is stored in the database, and is consequently not actually stored until a database commit occurs (see LUW). Until this point, you can undo all of your changes using a database rollback (see Programming Transactions).
    Example
Exporting two fields and an internal table to the database table INDX:
    TABLES INDX.
    TYPES: BEGIN OF ITAB3_TYPE,
              CONT(4),
           END OF ITAB3_TYPE.
DATA: INDXKEY LIKE INDX-SRTFD VALUE 'KEYVALUE',
          F1(4), F2 TYPE P,
ITAB3 TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF ITAB3_TYPE WITH NON-UNIQUE
                     DEFAULT KEY INITIAL SIZE 2,
          WA_INDX TYPE INDX.
Fill the data fields before CLUSTR
    before the actual export
    INDX-AEDAT = SY-DATUM.
    INDX-USERA = SY-UNAME.
    Export der Daten.
    EXPORT F1    FROM F1
           F2    FROM F2
           ITAB3 FROM ITAB3
TO DATABASE INDX(ST)  FROM WA_INDX ID INDXKEY.

    Hi ,
Why do you wantto use templates as table control .
You  should use table control  in place of template  to dipslay contents of an internal table .
To use table control as template  put template inside a loop  . Im not sure it works or not .

  • How can I convert table object into table record format?

I need to write a store procedure to convert table object into table record. The stored procedure will have a table object IN and then pass the data into another stored procedure with a table record IN. Data passed in may contain more than one record in the table object. I'm afraid it's a bit labourious but here's an example.
