How to create a new web service project of Weblogic 9.2 on Eclise ?
Dear experts,
I have to use weblogic server 9.2.2 and eclipse as my developing environment.
But when I execute eclipse->File->New->Project->WebLogic Web Services->Web Service Project.
I can't see the choice for weblogic server 9.x in the Target runtime field.
Even I download the additional server adapters, the oldest version is Oracle WebLogic Server 10gR3 (newer than 9.x).
So, how can I create a weblogic server9.x web server project on eclipse ?
Thanks,
James Tung
James,
Which version of Eclipse are you using? Do you have Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse installed? Which version?
According to the docs, OEPE 11.1.1.6 (the latest of this post) supports WLS back to version 9.2.
http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E15315_05/help/oracle.eclipse.tools.common.doc/html/index.html
Make sure that you have a WLS 9.2 Server Runtime defined.
Window->Prefereces->Server->Runtime Environments
Add a BEA System, Inc WLS 9.2 server runtime and make sure it is pointing to the right place on your file system and try creating your Web Service project again.
If you still have issues, try the OEPE forum.

How to create a new Oracle OSB project automaticaly with script without IDE
Hello,
I want to create automatically an "Oracle service bus project" and an "Oracle service bus configuration project" with scripts (ANT or Maven or ...) without using IDE, without using workshop or Eclipse. I want to create automatically (ANT or Maven) just a skeleton of an OSB project witch i can use after in workshop.
I want to create 1 "Oracle service bus configuration project" with many "Oracle service bus project" automatically (ANT or Maven or scripts) witch i can use after in workshop. How to create a new Oracle OSB project automaticaly with script without IDE ? How can i do this ?
I'm using Oracle service bus 10.3.1
Thank you for your help.Thank you for your response,
I do not want to just create the services (proxy services and business services) but I want to create a template for 40 OSB project with the same scripts ANT/Maven.
Template="Oracle service bus configuration project" + "Oracle service bus project" + services of 40 OSB projects
The goal is that I have more than 40 projects to create and just the name of the projects that changes (when I say the name of the project ie the name of the OSB project, the name of proxy services and the name of business services ).
So I want to give my script (ANT/Maven) the name of 40 OSB project and the script must generate the skeleton of the 40 projects at once time and after generation of skeleton of the 40 project, I will import them in the workshop to add manually mapping and routing and other things that differs from one project to another.
So i want to generate automatically a skeletons of 40 OSB projects using a script (ANT / Maven) and I give to the script juste the names of the 40 projects.
I want to create a "Oracle service bus configuration project" and "Oracle service bus project" automatically of 40 OSB projects (ANT or Maven or scripts) witch i can use after in workshop.
I want to create one 'template' of all 40 projects in the same time, with the same directory structure (Transforlation, Business services, proxy services, WSDL .....) and all 40 project have the same transport, just the names of projects and services witch changes and i can give to the script all names of projects and services and i can give also all WSDL.

How to Create and Deploy Web Services Using Oracle 9i JDeveloper
Hi,
My Question is how to create and deploy Web Services using Oracle 9i JDeveloper.Anybody please give me a detailed Reply.Please Reply to [email protected]
Hopr to Hear From you,
Regards,
G SreekumarYou could use datasources. You should do this in your BC4J Configuration. Then when deploying your applicaiton use the command -installDataSource (from admin.jar) to create the right datasource.
You could probably use the name of your connection + "DS" so you can also use it locally in JDeveloper as JDev seesm to create this automaticly for your Connections. -
How to create document/literal web services with WLS7
How do you create document/literal web services with WLS7 ( not workshop)
- Is it possible with servicegen and stateless EJBs as the backend component?
The default is RPC/Soap-encoded is there anyway to craft the web-services.xml
to make it document/literal
- Is it possible with the JMS-implemented web services - have not tried this yet
- Is there another mechanism?That would be the <web-service> element in the web-services.xml file, of course.

Hi Rich,
Try adding a style="document" attribute to the starting <web-service>
element.
The might be a way to get <servicegen> to do this for you, but I haven't
found
it yet :-)

How do i create a new web service?
hello all,
I want to create a new webservice, can any of you help me in this regard.
Any document pertaining to it, will be very helpful.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks and Regards,
Santhosh Guptha NHi ,
There are many ways to create a webservice.
1. Creating is form the backend ECC system
a. Create a Inbound Interface in PI
b. Generate a Proxy out of it and do the implementation
c. Release it as a Service
2. Converting a RFC/BAPI into a webservice with very few easy steps
3. Creating a Mediated Service using PI with SOAP Sender adapter
Just for reference.

How to create secure EJB web service in Oc4J using JDeveloper?
We are going to develop a EJB web service running in OC4J using JDeveloper 10.1.3.3.
By using the JDeveloper feature, we can simply create the web service by using the "Web Service Endpoint Interface" in the session bean.
However, unlike the web service created from Java class, I can't find any option to change the security setting of this web service. We tried adding annotation like @DenyAll for testing, but there has no effect and related method can still be called without WS-Security header.
Now, we can only change the security setting via the web console after deployment (select the web service, then enable security in administration page, and then edit security configuration to change the inbound policies for authentication). It works in our local machine, but it may not work in the production environment as we cannot touch the em console.
May I know if there has any way to include the security setting inside the project?
Thanks in advance.If I am not wrong, you might be probably talking about this :
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B40099_02/books/EAI2/EAI2_WebServices33.html#wp179056
In order to implement the SOAP header, you would have to :
(1) Define SOAP header in the wsdl of the service.
(2) Add a new soap binding in the wsdl, which contains soap header and soap body.
I think, this should get you going.. -
How to create JAX-WS web services using providers?
I am looking at WebLogic web services, because we are investigating the possibility of migrating our web services from Apache CXF to WegLogic web services. Our web services are implemented using JAX-WS providers. However, I browsed through the Oracle Fusion Middleware document library, but I couldn't find any documents for implementing JAX-WS web services using providers.
Is there any document, tutorial, or examples of that?
Thanks in advance!
TaoOk just as I expected. So I guess I am left with the following two options
1) either I switched to using JAXB in my apps instaed of xmlbeans....
2) or if I still wanna use the old JAX-RPC web services to deploy on the Weblogic 10gR3 server i will have to create my own ant task jwsc directly......as shown below in your docs
Programming Web Services for WebLogic Server (ant tasks)
http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13222_01/wls/docs92/webserv/anttasks.html
Getting Started With WebLogic Web Services Using JAX-RPC
http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12840_01/wls/docs103/webserv_rpc/index.html
Will OEPE be supporting the old JAX-RPC anytime in the near future release? or have to create own build ant task to call jwsc ant task directly to compile JAX-RPC web services?? -
How to develop JAX-RS web services?
Hi,
I am trying to build a REST web service using JAX-RS in OEPE 12.1 and WebLogic 12c. When I try to use annotations like javax.ws.rs.GET and javax.ws.rs.Path, I get a compilation error. Which JAR files available from the server runtime should I add to the build path?
I have read the JAX-RS development guide (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24329_01/web.1211/e24983/toc.htm). But it makes no mention of how to create a project in OEPE.
Thanks.Hello,
A couple of options:
1. Create a Weblogic Web Service Project with 12c Runtime.
a. File->New->Web Service Project
b. Select your 12c runtime
-You should have a project with the JAX-RS on the java build library path.
2. Create a standard J2ee Project ie: Web Project
a. Create A Dynamic Web Project
b. Select your 12c runtime
c. Rt Click the Project->Properties->Java Build Path->Libraries->Add External JARs, then navigate and select "WLS 12c Dir"\modules\com.sun.jersey.core_"version".jar
This should allow the resolution of the javax.ws.rs.* annotations.
Additionally, you may need to rt. click the Deployment Descriptor of your project and select Generate Deployment Descriptor Stub. Subsequently add the following:
<servlet>
<servlet-name>JAX-RS Application</servlet-name>
<servlet-class>com.sun.jersey.spi.container.servlet.ServletContainer</servlet-class>
<load-on-startup>1</load-on-startup>
</servlet>
<servlet-mapping>
<servlet-name>JAX-RS Application</servlet-name>
<url-pattern>*</url-pattern>

How to expose a SOAP web service from HCP
Hello All,
Currently I am trying to create a SOAP web service within a HCP Java application to allow backend systems to consume data stored in HCP.
This is the planned scenario:
1. Create data in HCP - therefor I am using JPA and a oData Model.
2. Backend uses web service to consume data from HCP - with this point I do have some problems.. I do want to create a SOAP web service in order to achieve this.
Is there an easy way to create a SOAP web service in HCP? There are many tutorials in the internet of how to create a SOAP web service in 20 sec´s, but non of these helped me. I do was able to consume a SOAP web service in HCP coming from the ByD, but the other way around seems pretty complicated...
Can I make use of the Eclipse functions to create a web service? (New --> Other... --> Web Services --> Web Service and than choose the Button up Java bean Web Service type)
Have any of you some coding snippets that would probably help me out?
I have unsuccessfully tried to use the @WebService, @SOAPBinding, @WebMethod notation in my java classes...
Thank you,
SwenHello Nedelcho,
Yes. All the required jar files are in the lib directory.
Currently I am able to create a web service locally.
But when I deploy that to the cloud server my JPA service is not working any more.
Receiving the following error message:

The web.xml contains the following:
Any advice?

Create a new web application, how shall I update the file server.xml

How to create a new bundle of service and import it as normal user.
Hi,
I have created a service.
Now am able to import and enable the service.
I have placed my xml file under
/var/svc/manifest/site
The service name is
<service
name='site/newservice'
I have imported the service as root user.
<exec_method type='method' name='start' exec='/tmp/new/method/newservice start' timeout_seconds='30' />
This service is not able to execute the operation which I have mentioned above. The following error is thrown in log file.
Error: User 'root' is not the owner of '/tmp/new/method'
So I tried to import the service as normal user, the following error is thrown.
svccfg import /var/svc/manifest/site/newservice.xml
svccfg: Could not create temporary service "TEMP/site/newservice" (permission de nied).
svccfg: Import of /var/svc/manifest/site/newservice.xml failed. Progress:
svccfg: Service "site/newservice": not reached.
svccfg: Instance "newservice": not reached.
Please help me to solve this issue.
I thought instead of placing the service in default location,Why cant we create a new service of bundle and place the service there.
Please help to solve this issue by suggesting some solution or how to create a new bundle of service and import it as normal user.

Hi,
I have created a service.
Now am able to import and enable the service.
I have placed my xml file under
/var/svc/manifest/site
The service name is
<service
name='site/newservice'
I have imported the service as root user.Okay.
<exec_method type='method' name='start' exec='/tmp/new/method/newservice start' timeout_seconds='30' />
This service is not able to execute the operation which I have mentioned above. The following error is thrown in log file.
Error: User 'root' is not the owner of '/tmp/new/method'By default, services run as the 'root' user. It's complaining that the method isn't also root.
So I tried to import the service as normal user, the following error is thrown.You won't be able to do that easily. The user that does the import is almost always root. But wihin the manifest you could have it run as a different user.

Please help to solve this issue by suggesting some solution or how to create a new bundle of service and import it as normal user.You don't need to import this as a normal user, do you? You just want it to run as one, right?

Hi,
2 instances of scautolistener are already running and i want to create a new instance of scautolistener.
The sm.cfg file entry of scautolistener instances are:
sm -scautolistener:12670 -debugscauto -log:..\logs\scauto.log
sm -scautolistener:12690 -log:..\logs\scsmtp.log
Please guide me as how to create a new instance of scautolistener.first, you cannot create instances of methods. but you can create instances of classes (==objects).
the algorithm for primes does not work yet (its your work) but i inserted the code to create your object.
import java.math.*;
public class IsPrime {
public boolean isPrime1(int arg){
for(int e = 2; e < arg; e++){
int remainder=arg%e;
if(remainder==0){
System.out.println("This number is not a prime number");
break;
else {
System.out.println("This number is a prime number");
break;
return true;
public static void main(String[] args){
System.out.println(args.length);
if (args.length>1){
System.out.println("Sorry you can only enter one number");
else{
String sNum =args[0];
int iNum=Integer.parseInt(sNum);
IsPrime myPrimesObject = new IsPrime(); // here is your object
if (myPrimesObject.IsPrime1(iNum)==true)
System.out.println("is a prime");else System.out.println("is not a prime");

PS2013 - When creating a new instance of Project Server hangs in 'Waiting for resources' status
Hi,
I have one instance of Project Server 2013 fully operational and I tried to duplicate the instance to make some tests. As I know the issue of using the same Content Database of Project Server in the same Server Farm, I used the powershell backup/restore/dismount
and mount the content database to change the site IDs to avoid index duplication. The Project server database was a regular SQL backup and restore in another database.
I created a new Web App in the port 90 as show below.
Then I included the Content database of Project Server as separated DB from SharePoint for this new SharePoint -acme90 and I tried to create the new instance. The creation hanged in "Waiting for Resources" status.
To make another check excluding the reuse of the SharePoint-80 I tried to create another instance both in the SharePoint-80 where is the working instance and in the SharePoint-90, everything default and again they all hanged in Waiting for Resource.
If I try to create the instance using PowerShell I got the following error:
PS C:\Users\epm_setup> Mount-SPProjectWebInstance -DatabaseName Test_EPM -SiteCo
llection http://acme02/epm -Lcid 1046
Mount-SPProjectWebInstance : Cannot find an SPSite object with Id or Url:

All SharePoint and Project Server services are running, all App Pools and sites are started at the IIS. I could not find a hanging timer job.
I cannot stop the hanged process or dismount the instances using Powershell since no instance created.
How should I solve the hanging status of creation of the instance? As they are in Hyper-V I can go back using one snapshot.
Thank you.
Best regards, Ricardo Segawa - Segawas Projetos / Microsoft PartnerHi Eric,
Thank your for your interest in this case.
I checked for running and crashed PWA jobs and deleted all of them just after restoring the snapshot and tried to create the new instance in the new web app in port 90 (besides the existing and working instance in port 80), but again it hanged in "waiting
for resources". There is not any timer job hanging, no error in event viewer or in log. So the error is well before working with cloned dbs.
Answering your questiion, I am working all on 2013. My intention is backup one instance of the port 80 and copy to the instance of port 90, changing of course the url and the index of the content db of SharePoint. The process I used was:
Create a new web app in port 90, creating a new SharePoint_Content_2 on a
http://server:90 site.
Created the top level site called Portal using the Team Site template.
Create a new content db for new instance of Project Server named EPM_Content_2 using Central Admin.
Backup content db from port 80 instance of Project Server and restore to this EPM_content_2 using PowerShell cmd.
Dismounted and mounted this Project Server content db to create new index for existing sites to avoid index conflicts.
Backup the Project Server DB from port 80 using SQL backup and restored as ProjectWebApp2 db for port 90 instance.
Tried to create a new instance of Project Server
http://server:90/pwa on web app of port 90 using the ProjectWebApp2 db and using the same app pool of the other instance. But as in the previous case, it hang out in "Waiting for resources".
