How to create a one to one bidirectional mapping

Hi,
I'm trying to create a one to one bidirectional mapping. To simplify, I tried to modify the TwoTierEmployee sample in order to turn the one to one mapping between Employee and Address into a bidirectional one.
First I have added a new attribute ("employee") to the Address descriptor and I mapped it in a one to one relationship with the "address" attribute of the Employee descriptor, by using the same EMPLOYEE_ADDRESS foreign key as a target one (checked "Target Foreign Key"). Afterwards, in the Employee descriptor I checked the address attribute "Maintain Bidirectional Relanship" check box and I selected "employee" in the "Relationship Partner" combo box. At that moment I got the following TopLink error message (sorry, that's in french):
"Le mapping de partenaires indiquÃ© ne dÃ©signe pas ce mapping comme Ã©tant son propre partnenaire"
meaning something like:
"The partner's mapping doesn't indicate this mapping as being its own partner"
Since I didn't find any sample of bidirectional one to one relationship neither in the documentation nore in tutorials, any help would be highly apreciated.

The intent behind this particular error message is that for a bidirectional mapping, there need to be two equal partner mappings. It looks like in this case that you intend the Address.employee mapping to be paired with the Employee.address mapping. It could be simply that you haven't selected the Address.employee mapping's relationship partner (Employee.address). But if you have chosen the partner mapping on both mappings, and it still gives you the error message, then it looks to be incorrect behavior. If that is the case, if you could provide us with your version information, we can make sure that that issue is recorded.

i need to create a infotype where one of the field length is 1000 characters how do i achieve this. if i give more than 255 in the PS structure it will not allow. then how do i get a text field of 1000 chars in the screen ( which is an input field)

You can use those function calls even inside a PA Infotype.. they just invoke the text ediotr table control.. I gave you the reference of the PD infotype 1002 just for an idea. I don't think you will able to meet your 1000 char reqt without using the text editor.

How to create a dimension with one level

I created a cube with some dimensions, that have only a level, and this kind of dimensions bring me some problems when I want to use "OracleBI Spreadsheet Add-In" to consult the cube.
The problem is that I canât create a hierarchy with only a level, so the dimensions are created without a hierarchy.
When I make a query in the âQuery Builderâ of "OracleBI Spreadsheet Add-In", I have some problems in the step of choosing what levels I want to select for a determined dimension, if that dimension is a dimension without a hierarchy.
What really happens is that, I can see all the values for the level in the left box, but I donât achieve to put one of these values on the right box. I can click in the next button, to jump to the next dimension, and all the process of selection for the other dimensions occurs without problems, except for the dimensions that havenât a hierarchy.
If I select only dimensions that have a hierarchy, all works perfectly, but if I select one or more dimensions that donât have a hierarchy, the following problems occur:
=> I canât select the values of the level that I want to see (only for dimensions that donât have a hierarchy)
=> When I click in âendâ button of the âQuery Builderâ, it doesnât finish and blocks.
The solution is to create a hierarchy, but I canât create a hierarchy with only a level. Is it possible to create a âtop levelâ without a source column in the dimension table? So I will have two levels, and with these two levels I can create a hierarchy that resolves the problem.
What is the solution for this problem?

How I can resolve my problem?
I donât want to use the CWM2 PL/SQL packages, because with these packages I only can create MOLAP cubes.
I only want to create ROLAP cubes, but I can't create a hierarchy with one level.
Why the "OracleBI Spreadsheet Add-In" doesnât work with dimensions, that not have hierarchies?
How I can resolve this BIG problem?

How to create two respone for one request

Hi
is there any way for us to create two response for one request
the scenario is as below
1. user click on update button for particular record in the datatable (
after its get updated and status get updated = 'UPDATED' it will remove the object from ObjectListDataProvider and clear the tablePhaseListener ).
2. After it gets updated successfuly , i want to prompt the user with generateExcel function which using response.getOutputStream() using Apache POI.
How can we combine 1 and 2 together
Here what i have tried and didnt work
1. i tried to put the generateExcel function in destroy() method after page is rendered but it gives me Exception
2. i tried to put the generateExcel function in prerender() method
but the page will only execute the generateExcel function
- the data still get updated to the database but it doesnt refresh the page ( i meant the removing object and tablephaseListener.clear() doesnt work )
3 . i tried to put generateExcel Function after it process the data

     }This one also doesnt work and gives the same behaviour as number 2
The Prompt to save excel sheet still gets popped up

How to create a slideshow on one computer and edit on another?

I have created a slideshow on my home computer but need to be able to edit it on my work computer. I have all of the photos on both computers, but I don't see how to transfer the slideshow. It is an extensive show with a lot of editing that has already been done.

How to create multiple pages within one navbar entry

I'm trying to revamp my site to include specific information and files for the classes I teach at the university. What I'd like to do is to have one entry on the navbar entitled "University Classes" or some such, and have it lead to a page where I can have a list of classes as links, each leading to its own page. Is it possible to do this, or do I need to create an entire new site for this purpose?

To make the link to the second site be incorporated in to the navbar of the main site add a totally blank page in the main site and name it to indicate the classes site. Then put the following code in an HTML snippet on that blank page:

How to create multiple extract from one map

Hello ,
I have a map which extract data from source and create a output text file. Now, I need to create 10 different files from the same mapping with same format but different name. So I want to generate file1.txt, file2.txt, file3.txt etc . My map currently has one target file , i donot want to create 10 target files operator in the map itself, is there a way to achive this functionality ie I want to call the same map 10 times. Do I have to do it from outside.

Why not create 10 maps? These don't take up much space, only a few Kb, and you would be able to generate a unique file per map, which would be the correct approach.
If you don't want to have duplicate maps, would the data in the output files be the same or would it need to change based on some condition?
If the data is the same you can do this externally by just making x copies of the original file.
If the data needs to change you either need to have multiple maps, as mentioned at the beginning, or you would somehow need to change the source data. You cannot change the name of a mapped output file, this is because OWB maps use a hard-coded file name making it impossible to change the name of the file dynamically.
However, let's say you are able to change the source data, perhaps using a view. If you had x copies of the view script you could generate it x times, calling the map x times. Each time you would run the map it would generate file1.txt, and you would need to rename it to file2.txt before recompiling the view and rerunning the map to get another file1.txt. This would be renamed file3.txt and you could then repeat the process as many times as you like.

How to create an array in one field and have another field display certain elements from that array?

I am making a form in Acrobat XI pro.
In one text field, I created an array of several elements. I want other text fields to display certain elements from that array. For instance, one field should display the 3rd element, another field should display the 13th element, etc.
The Javascript for making the array is very long, and so I don't want to have to re-calculate the array every single time (in order to reduce rendering time when I open the form on an iPad). This is why I'd like to only have to create the array once, and simply refer to it throughout the form.

What code are you using to update the array currently? Are you completely rebuiding it when an element changes, or just changing specific elements for certain fields? I'm still not sure what exactly you are trying to do, but something like this in a document level script will create your array:

     myArray = new Array();
     myArray[0] = "Value 1";
     myArray[1] = "Value 2";

Then, for each field that needs to update this array, you can add a call to 'updateArray()' in the appropriate event. This will rebuild the array completely; if you just want to update specific elements, then you can access them directly.

How to create a form where one user cant modify information entered by another user.

First time using Acrobat. Very newbie on this. Company wants me to create forms. As an example, new hire form where HR sends form to one department, they write in information as to what the user needs, etc. Then they send form to another department and thent they add comments or whatever to the same form
What we want to accomplish is if the form is being sent from one person to another and each person adds information we want the infornation that was inputted locked so that other people cant edit it.
Is this possible? Thanks for any input.

If they're using Acrobat there's no real way of doing that. If they're using Reader, though, you can set the fields as read-only. It's far from a secure solution, though.

I have a PHP page where I have two separated tabbed div
panels.
I want to show dynamic summary of data from database in one
panel.
In the other panel I have a table with dynamic text.

I don't want to create two contracts with same products and services for two suppliers (Dealer_1 and Dealer_2).
How can this be handled through business partner type "Vendor"?
In "Partner" section in "Header" --> "Basic data", I can only add 1 vendor.

I have a similar requirement to create order lines in an existing contract with reference using BAPI_CUSTOMERCONTRACT_CHANGE. The order lines get created in the contract. However, the condition types from the order line which i'm referencing are not getting referenced and are not getting added in the Contract's line after referencing.
Did you come across any such issue ? If yes , could you suggest the solution ?

I tried creating a freeze frame but it won't allow me to drag that frame into iPhoto. How can I grab an still image and make it a jpeg or other image format?

Place the playhead on the frame you want to export. Go to File->Export->Using QuickTime Conversion. In the export window, choose Still Image from the Format menu and use the Option menu to choose the file type (.jpg, .png, .psd, etc.).
