How to create a socket to send to URI?
I have apache-axis2 accepting a WSDL on some uri <ipaddres:8080/my/service/uri>. I'm trying to have a Java program send a soap message to that URI. When I use the uri <ipaddress:8080> I can create a socket using
new Socket( (InetAddress.getByName(ipaddress), port);But if I do something like
String uri = "/my/service/uri";
new Socket( (InetAddress.getByName(ipaddress+uri), port);I'll get an UnkownHostException. So how would I create a socket that can send to a given uri?
I ended up trying to create an OutputStream from doing an http connection to the uri. I've tried
OutputStream os = null;
URL url = null;
URLConnection conn = null;
url = new URL("http://"+ipaddress+":"+port+path);
conn = url.openConnection();
conn.setDoOutput(true);
conn.setDoInput(true);
conn.setAllowUserInteraction(true);
conn.setUseCaches(false);
conn.connect();
os = conn.getOutputStream();to write I use
void send(byte[] b)
os.write(b);
os.flush();
}The problem is, when I write to the outputstream, according to Wireshark, nothing gets sent across the wire.
System.out.println("output stream ="+os+"."); gives me
"output stream = ."
which is very odd. I'd expect "output stream = null" or "output stream = <some object handle>." What could be preventing me from getting the output stream?

There are loads of "+What if's+" - and in that respect, playing "+What if database is down..+" in this case does not make any sense. You do not use the database to monitor its own up/down status. You do not rely just on SMTP as notification protocol that the database is down.
The correct approach would be using something like SNMP as the monitoring protocol. A monitoring system that can process SNMP and perform some basic root cause analysis (e.g. network to the database server down, database server status unknown). And this system supporting notification methods like SMTP, SMS and so on. -

How to create a "Group" to send texts to easily?
I'd like to create a "Group" with a name that would be easily available to send text messages to - without having to enter individual contacts each time I text. Seems simple enough, but there's no place in "contacts" to "Create a Group". Any suggestions will be appreciated!
You would have to use an app for that. Some will create groups and allow you to send sms messages to the entire group (such as Speed Names).

How to create a BO for sending emails
Hi All,
I want to create a Business Object which should have an event for sending emails.
Please guide me on this.
Thanks in Advance,
Saket.Hi Raj,
See i will explain why i want it.In the link it's done as below:
IF ZCUST_INFO-COUNTRY = 'IN'.
DATA: W_OBJTYPE TYPE SWETYPECOU-OBJTYPE,
W_OBJKEY TYPE SWEINSTCOU-OBJKEY,
W_EVENT TYPE SWETYPECOU-EVENT.
W_OBJTYPE = 'YH355_BO'.
W_OBJKEY = ZCUST_INFO-CUSTNO.
W_EVENT = 'SENDEMAIL'.
CALL FUNCTION 'SWE_EVENT_CREATE'
EXPORTING
objtype = W_OBJTYPE
objkey = W_OBJKEY
event = W_EVENT
COMMIT WORK.
ENDIF.
But here w_objtype is a custom BO and also w_event = 'SENDEMAIL' .This event too
is a custom event.
Now i want to know what code is there in this custom BO because it is this BO which triggers the email through SENDEMAIL event.
Hope i am clear here.

How to create own event of sending email for IDI
Hi Gurus,
We have one requirement to navigate the screen to inbox once the user sends the email. Currently the screen goes back to initial incoming email screen after user clicks the send button.
I added the event ZSENDEMAIL in IDI event repository (CRMC_IC_EVENT_REP) with below parameters:
component: CRMCMP_CCS_EML
view: CRMCMP_CCS_EML/MAILBODY
UI event: SENDMESSAGE
Also I created a IDI policy in IC_manager as below:
if current event = ZSENDEMAIL
navigate to IC webclient inbox:display
However, it did not work. The screen still goes back to the initial incoming email screen. Did anyone have any similar expenrience? Could you help to share your successful example? Any suggestion or idea are welcome!
Thanks in advance!
Edited by: Zhijie Kong on May 31, 2011 11:12 PMHi Hannes,
I used below IDI rule to navigate to IR screen.
(If Current Event Equals Contact Ended and
MEDIA Equals "Email"
Then Navigate To ( Navigation Object type:Action = Interaction Records:Edit ) )

Receiver SOAP channel error: Communication over HTTPS. Unable to create a socket
Hi,
I am getting following error while sending message from PI (7.1) to SalesForce system:
'SOAP: call failed: java.io.IOException: Communication over HTTPS. Unable to create a socket'
Scenario: Sending Customer data from SAP via Async proxy to PI which is sent further to SalesForce system via SOAP webservice call.
When I am trying to Post data to the same webservice via SOAP UI it is working fine and data is getting updated in SalesForce system.
XPI inspector logs for the channel suggest the following:

syamalaWhile waiting to hear back, I was able to write the query results from an outside Oracle server, to a table on the local SQL Server, and do the LEFT OUTER JOIN required for the final query and report to work. That was with this syntax:
<CFQUERY name="AddTableRecords" datasource="MyTable">
TRUNCATE TABLE ITE_Temp
<CFOUTPUT query="ITE2">
INSERT INTO ITE_Temp
(FullFile,EmployeeCount,DTL_Amount,EmployeeType,station)
VALUES
('#TrueFile#', #CountOfEmployee#, #DTL_SUBTOT#, '#EMPTYPE#', '#ARPT_CD#')
</CFOUTPUT>
</CFQUERY>
However, I was not able to write to a temporary table AND read the results. I got the syntax to run to write the above results to a temporary table. But when I tried to read and output the results from the temp table, I got an error. Also, it wouldn't take the single "#" (local) only the global "##" table var, using this syntax. Note that if I didn't have the DROP TABLE in the beginning, the 2nd time you run this query, you get an error telling you the table already exists.
<CFQUERY name="ITE_Temp2" datasource="MyTable">
DROP TABLE ##MyTemp2
CREATE TABLE ##MyTemp2
FullFile char (7) NOT NULL,
EmployeeCount int NULL,
DTL_Amount decimal NULL,
EmployeeType char (3) NULL,
station char (3) NULL
<CFOUTPUT query="ITE2">
INSERT INTO ##MyTemp2 VALUES
'#ITE2.TrueFile#',
#ITE2.CountOfEmployee#,
#ITE2.DTL_SUBTOT#,
'#ITE2.EMPTYPE#',
'#ITE2.ARPT_CD#'
</CFOUTPUT>
</CFQUERY>
So even though the above works, I could use some help in reading/writing the output. I've tried several things similar to below, but they don't work. It't telling me ITE_Temp2 does not exist. It's not easy to find good examples of creating temporary tables in SQL Server.
<CFQUERY name="QueryTest2" datasource="SkynetSQL">
SELECT *
FROM ITE_Temp2
</CFQUERY>
<CFOUTPUT query="ITE_Temp2">
Output from Temp Table<br>
<p>FullFile: #FullFile#, EmployeeCount: #EmployeeCount#</p>
</CFOUTPUT>
Thanks for any help/advice.

Hello everybody. I am a web designer (NOT a developer)
I created a form and I'm not sure how to make the 'submit' button send me the collected information.
I have used phpform.org/ to custom build a submission form. Then I opened that html in dreamweaver (so that I could edit colors, fonts, and delete the phpform.org advetisement)
Now I need to link the 'submit button' so that it will e-mail me the completed form.
(formphp.org wants me to subscribe to a servie that I pay for in order to have the form e-mailed to myself.)
(after I get the submit button linked to an e-mail I will pull the html of my completed form into Muse- but I don't think that is really relevent)
I'm sure one of you can help point me in the right direction! I can't write my own code so detailed help is appreciated!

</html>I'm afraid not. It's not rocket science but you need to do some coding.
You'll need to find a script (php) and save it to your local site folder. Then reference the script in your form's action attribute like so.
<form action="path/form-to-email-script.php" >
The input fields in your HTML form need to exactly match the script variables.
I'm assuming you're hosted on a Linux server which uses PHP code. Linux servers are also case sensitive, so upper case names are not the same as lower case names. It's usually best to use all lower case names in your form and script to avoid confusion.

After recognizing and following the suggestions I skimmed in the Q&A, my trash is still being emptied against my wishes. Everything looked familiar involving settings, etc. I think and hope and will re-check that I've all the correct settings applied. I would like to verify; Do I have to really create a folder to send my email to instead of trash/delete if I want to view it later? If so that sucks, but I'll obviously work around it. My frustration with this matter over the years caused me to stop reading and here I am, agitated. I can probably figure out how to create a folder and MAYBE even figure out how to make it somewhat easier than it sounds to move the emails there. My biggest obstacle is learning how to program the delete key on my keyboard to send them there, because it's simply common sense to everyday users not to mention a terrible habit occurred over the many years of practicing to strike the delete key when a "I'll get to it later" email is highlighted AND without any worry knowing you can always find it in the trash because you know the last time the trash was emptied/permenantly deleted. Can you somehow make this a little more user friendly. It sucks to not be able to trust having an email when you go back to look for it. Can you imagine having to pay attention anything for longer than 5-7 seconds when you're trying to find that one email amongst possibly thousands in one of my in boxes because you're scared to death to delete anything that may be of value one day in the future, or not. Pretty please tell me I'm on the wrong track here and there's a simple solution and how to find it. And
IMHO, the mistake is to put anything in Trash if you think you'll ever want to look at it again. Do you ever "file" actual paper documents in the real Trash bin, down there on the floor?
However...
Your Trash folder may be on the email provider's server and subject to their housekeeping regime. Have a look at your account settings; if the account uses IMAP then you might try setting it to use a local Trash folder, for instance in your Local Folders account. That should put emptying of Trash under your control and safe from the whims of any third parties. But in my book, using Trash for persistent storage is perverse. Or as you might put it, it sucks.
I'd set up a Pending folder, and use QuickFolderMove, or use star and a filter, or a tag and a filter to park indeterminate messages in it.
The delete key is for deleting things, and nothing else.
