How to create dialog in Acrobat on Mac?
Hi,
Can anyone please guide me how to create dialog in acrobat in mac??
Is there any sample in acrobat sdk for mac which creates dialog without using any third party library??
ThanksUnfortunately, there is no longer any built-in cross-platform API for showing dialog boxes other than simple alerts in the C/C++ Acrobat SDK. Some might consider this a deficiency in a plug-in API for a cross-platform GUI application. Anyway, you can always use the system APIs, such as Cocoa on Mac or the Windows API on Windows. We mainly use wxWidgets in our plug-in, for both modal dialogs and modeless palettes.

How can a dialog box close itself?
I have a dialog box which displays a little form for some extra information. I have some non-standard buttons which are under my control. The form is created as a view in a window which is launched by CREATE_WINDOW.
I want the window to be able to close itself. The concept is easy - get a ref to the window, then call close( ).
But I cannot find a way to get a reference to the window from inside the window.
Here is my current solution which I do not like, but it works.
I create a context node 'POPUP' which has an attribute ME of type ref to if_wd_window.
When I create the window, I do this:
lo_window = lo_window_manager->create_window( ... )
lr_node = wd_context->get_child_node( 'POPUP' ).
lr_node->set_attribute( exporting name = 'ME'
value = lo_window ).
lo_window->open( ).
In the window, it gets ME out of the node, and does a lr_me->close( ).
But there is a better way, right? How does a dialog box close itself under program control?
I should add that the dialog box is displaying a view from a used component, so POPUP is defined in the used component and mapped into the context of the using component. I don't think this changes the problem, though.Hi
Try this following code in method of button you have created for popup i.e method for example ok,cancel etc in the view which you have emebedded in ur window for popup.
Close the popup
DATA:
lo_api TYPE REF TO if_wd_view_controller,
lo_window_ctlr TYPE REF TO if_wd_window_controller,
lo_popup TYPE REF TO if_wd_window.
lo_api = wd_this->wd_get_api( ).
lo_window_ctlr = lo_api->get_embedding_window_ctlr( ).
lo_popup = lo_window_ctlr->get_window( ).
IF lo_popup IS BOUND.
lo_popup->close( ).
ENDIF. -

How to create Option Boxes IN A SELECTION SCREEN
How to create Option Boxes IN A SELECTION SCREEN.
Thanks!Hi Rajesh,
The following explanation gives clear picture of what is mean of check box and radio button with coding.....................
<b>CHECK BOX :</b>
AS CHECKBOX [USER-COMMAND fcode]
Effect:
This addition specifies that the input field in the first position of the selection screen is displayed as a checkbox, with the corresponding description next to it on the right. The checkbox is selected if the value of para is "X" or r "x". Otherwise, it is not selected.
The parameter must be created with the type c and length 1. An explicit length len is not permitted. If the addition TYPE is used, this can only be followed by the generic type c or a non-generic data type of type c and length 1.
The addition USER-COMMAND can be used to assign a function code fcode to the parameter. The function code fcode must be directly specified and may have a maximum length of 20 characters. To evaluate the function code, an interface work area of the structure SSCRFIELDS from the ABAP Dictionary must be declared using the statement TABLES. When the user selects the checkbox on the selection screen, the runtime environment triggers the event AT SELECTION-SCREEN and transfers the function code fcode to the component ucomm of the interface work area sscrfields.
Notes
If the TYPE addition is used to make a reference to a data type in the ABAP Dictionary of type CHAR and length 1, and for which t the valid values in the domain are defined as "X" and " ", the parameter is automatically displayed as a checkbox on the selection screen.
If the addition USER-COMMAND is specified without the addition AS CHECKBOX, and the parameter is of type c with length 1, it is also displayed as a checkbox.
The addition USER-COMMAND can, for example, be used for screen modifications with the addition MODIF ID (see example).
<b>Coding :</b>
PARAMETERS show_all AS CHECKBOX USER-COMMAND flag.
SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF BLOCK b1 WITH FRAME.
PARAMETERS: p1(10) TYPE c,
p2(10) TYPE c,
p3(10) TYPE c.
SELECTION-SCREEN END OF BLOCK b1.
SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF BLOCK b2 WITH FRAME.
PARAMETERS: p4(10) TYPE c MODIF ID bl2,
p5(10) TYPE c MODIF ID bl2,
p6(10) TYPE c MODIF ID bl2.
SELECTION-SCREEN END OF BLOCK b2.
AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT.
LOOP AT SCREEN.
IF show_all <> 'X' AND
screen-group1 = 'BL2'.
screen-active = '0'.
ENDIF.
MODIFY SCREEN.
ENDLOOP.
<b>RADIO BUTTON COMMAND :</b>
RADIOBUTTON GROUP group [USER-COMMAND fcode]
Effect:
This addition specifies that the input field is displayed as a radio button in the first position on the selection screen, and the output field is displayed next to it on the right. The radio button is selected if the value of para is "X" or "x". Otherwise, it is not selected.
group is used to define the radio button group for the parameter. The name group is entered directly as a character string with a maximum of 4 characters. Within a selection screen, there must be a minimum of two parameters in the same radio button group. There cannot be more than one radio button group with the same name in one program, even if they are defined in different selection screens.
The parameter must be specified with the type c and length 1. Explicit length specification using len is not permitted. If the addition TYPE is used, it can only be followed by the generic type c or a non-generic data type of type c and length 1.
In a radio button group, only one parameter can be defined with the addition DEFAULT, and the specified value must be "X". By default, the first parameter in a radio button group is set to the value "X", and the rest are set to " ".
The addition USER-COMMAND can be used to assign a function code fcode to the first parameter in a radio button group. The function code fcode must be specified directly, and have a maximum length of 20 characters. To evaluate the function code, an interface work area of the structure SSCRFIELDS from the ABAP Dictionary must be declared using the statement TABLES. When the user selects any radio button of the radio button group on the selection screen, the runtime environment triggers the event AT SELECTION-SCREEN and transfers the function code fcode to the component ucomm of the interface work area sscrfields.
Note:
It is recommended to define the radio buttons of a radio button group directly underneath each other. If the selection screen also contains other elements, it is recommended to define each radio button group within a block surrounded by a frame.

Download Dialog Box, From JSP
I have sucessfully written a JSP page which allows the user to download a binary file to there drive, all that works fine.
However the initial diag box that comes up in windows, prompting you to save, open, or cancel has the name of the jsp page instead of the file to be downloaded. How can I set that to show the filename?
Here is my code:
<%
FileInputStream fis = new FileInputStream(filePath + fileName);
BufferedInputStream bis = new BufferedInputStream(fis);
response.setContentLength(fis.available());
response.setContentType("application/octet-stream");
response.setHeader("Content-disposition","attachment; filename=" + fileName );
BufferedOutputStream bos = new BufferedOutputStream(response.getOutputStream());
byte[] buff = new byte[1024];
int bytesRead;
// Simple read/write loop.
while(-1 != (bytesRead = bis.read(buff, 0, buff.length)))
bos.write(buff, 0, bytesRead);
bos.flush();
bos.close();
bis.close();
response.flushBuffer();
fis.close();
%>
thank you for any helpI've done some investigating on my own in an attempt to solve this issue and have discovered that the reason it shows the JSP file name in the dialog box is because all JSPs seem to over load the http header file name variable.
I've looked in the .java files created by tomcat and I see where the header necessary to allow file download is constantly taken over by the JSP.
This is I suppose part of the technology, it's how they get JSPs to work. They had to know this all along and have done an excellent job of keeping it under wraps. I have just spent 3 months working 80 hours a week to meet a major deployment deadline and this file download issue that is being conveniently ignored by Sun is turning out to be a show stopper for my application.
THANKS SUN!!
