How to create duplicate records in end routines

Hi
Key fields in DSO are:
Plant
Storage Location
MRP Area
Material
Changed Date
Data Fields:
Safety Stocky
Service Level
MRP Type
Counter_1 (In flow Key figure)
Counter_2 (Out flow Key Figure)
n_ctr (Non Cumulative Key Figure)
For every record that comes in, we need to create a dupicate record. For the original record, we need to make the Counter_1 as 1 and Counter_2 as 0. For the duplicate record, we need to update Changed_Date to today's date and rest of the values will remain as is and update the counter_1 as 0 and counter_2 as -1. Where is the best place to write this code in DSO. IS it End
routine?

i have different requirement for date. Actually my requirement is to populate the CH_ON date as mentioned below:
sort the records based on the key and get the latest CH_ON value with unique Plant,sloc, material combination and populate
that CH_ON value for duplicate record.

How to create a record based on the name of a file in the file-system?

Hi,
With a lot of pictures I want to have a database to gather some information about these pictures.
First question is how to generate a record based on a file in the file system?
e.g. the pictures are "c:\fotos\2009\01\disc_001.jpg" to "c:\foto\2009\01\dis_98.jpg" .
now i want to create records with as one of the attributes the name of the picture (not the picture itself). how to create these records (based on the information of the file-ssytem). i.e. the number of records should be the same as the number of pictures.
any suggestions?

How to avoid Duplicate Records while joining two tables

I am trying to join three tables, basically two tables are same one is like history table, so I wrote a query like

Actually it is like if the record is processed it will be moved to hist table, so both table will not have same records and I need the record from both the tables so i have done the union of both the tables, so d will have the union of both records.
But I am getting duplicate records if even I am distinct.

How to delete Duplicate records in IT2006

Dear Experts
We have a situation like where we have duplicate records with same start and end dates in IT2006. This is because of the incorrect configuration which we have corrected now, but we need to do a clean-up for the existing duplicate records. Any idea on how to clean it? I ran report RPTKOK00 to find these duplicates but I could not delete the duplicate/inconsistenct record using report RPTBPC10 or HNZUPTC0, i Could only delete the deductions happened in the record.
Is there any standard report/any other means of deleting the duplicate records created in IT2006?

You could probably use se16n to identify the duplicates and create the list of quotas to delete, and you could probably use t-code lsmw to write up a script to delete them, but be aware that you can't delete a Quota if it's been deducted from.
You'd have to delete the Absence/Attendance first, then delete the Quota, then recreate the Absence/Attendance.

I Need duplicate the records for material A and B but with the values of Not assign, in other words the result in the cube would be like this:
Material KF1 KF2
A 10 12
B 25 30
01 02
A 01 02
B 01 02
How can i do this, i know this must be a rutine, but where in the star? final? expert rutine? and how would be the code to do it, help guys and thanks!

this code will be suitable only if the material as unique entry with initial value...
else you would require to use a loop statement instead of the read statement which has been used...

I had created an infoset and query in my sap, but I want to delete some duplicate records before the list out put.Please can we add some further codes in the Extras code to delete duplicates? And how do it? Would you please give me a simple brief.

Hi,
You can try to restrict in the filter area in query designer with the values for characteristic which gives correct
result.
But still i would suggest that in the cube you keep not the duplicate records as this is not your requirement and giving
you wrong result.
So you can reload the correct records in the cube inorder to avoid such problems even in future.

BAPI_PO_CREATE1 condition type are creating duplicate records

Hello Experts,
Currently I am creating Purchase orders using BAPI_PO_CREATE1 . When I am passing Condition related records to the same BAPI , second line item onwards , it creates multiple records of same condition type .
I have also looked into threads in SDN for the same , and they have suggested to create PO using BAPI_PO_CREATE and later use BAPI_PO_CHANGE to pass condition records. I have tried the same , but still second line item onwards it creates multiple records. Please tell me how do I resolve this issue.

Hello All,
This duplicate condition record creation may happen due to a setting in the MM configuration, where the system tries to pull in the history condition records ,based on the same set of condition record determination parameters.
Please contact the MM functional consultant in your team for settings change in detrmination of condition records under " MM-Purchasing " section.

How to create Static Record group in Oracle Forms??

Dear All,
I have the following values V1,V2 to be placed in my list item field during DML operations.
I have an example to create the record group based on the table; whereas i have never tried for static value creation.
Could you please guide me how can i acheive this.?

Actually what happens is; when i use the same methodology as you mentioned, it is asking me to set the Initial value.
Whereas in my applications; user has to manually select any of the values i.e eithe V1 or V2 for the first time.
Moreover i have found the query:-
I have created a static record group RG_VERSIONS i.e creating a new record group with the static values mentioning the "Column names " as "Version_label" which i have given the column values as "V1" and "V2" and then another column name as "Version_value" with the column values as "V1" and "V2".
Then i used the below query in the WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE trigger:-
PROCEDURE p_when_new_form_instance
IS
l_rg_id recordgroup;
l_item_id item;
BEGIN
--Populating value for Version Type based on static record group
l_rg_id := FIND_GROUP ('RG_VERSION');

Oracle.jbo.AttrValException: Attribute test in TestEO is required. (When trying to create duplicate Record)

I am facing an issue when trying to create a Duplicate Record.
Ist time when I create a record, its created Successfully.
I have Attribute validations which should not accept duplicate values, So to check that I tried to create the record with same values to display proper warning message.
After entering all the values (same values which i already entered in 1st record), when I tab out its showing as Red color border for that field, its expecting behaviour so no problem with that...
Then I click on Submit or Next button, now it's showing pop-up with expected warning message along with unexpected Exception message.

The test field is mandatory in EO, VO and .jsff. Could any body please help me what i missed here.
My JDEV version: 11.1.17.0

Thanks for your reply.
I am using fnd:applicationsPanel next button as nextAction="next", so i didn't find immediate property in fnd:applicationPanel.
So, I tried 2 things based on your comment.
1. nextPartialSubmit ="true"... this option is also not worked.
2. In my Test attribute added immediate="true" this is also not worked.
If you have any id how to set immediate property or related property in fnd:applicationPanel for nextAction. Please let me know.

How to create new record with old values

Dear all
i have creation page with 45 fields are there
user will enter all the fields and save it will call to non editable mode
if user will click on change button it will call to editable mode
in that my requirement is user wont change among those ites(45 items)clcik on save again it will call to view mode
in that user will change any one of the value among 45 items and click on save button i need to create one more record in database
if user wont edit any one of the field out of 45 items i dont want to create new record in database
how can we achieve thsi functionality

When user may edit the record, the same row may get updated in vo. Thus over writing existing row instead of creating new row.
Approach1..
On the page where user may edit records, instead of presenting records of existing row, present copy of existing row. So
In AM... (Later on you can put vo logic to its proper place, i.e. vo java file)

How to suppress duplicate records in rtf templates

Hi All,
I am facing issue with payment reason comments in check template.
we are displaying payment reason comments. Now the issue is while making batch payment we are getting multiple payment reason comments from multiple invoices with the same name and it doesn't looks good. You can see payment reason comments under tail number text field in the template.
If you provide any xml syntax to suppress duplicate records for showing distinct payment reason comments.

I have CRXI, so the instructions are for this release
you can create a formula, I called it cust_Matches
if = previous () then 'true' else 'false'
IN your GH2 section, right click the field, select format field, select the common tab (far left at the top)
Select the x/2 to the right of Supress in the formula field type in
{@Cust_Matches} = 'true'
Now every time the {@Cust_Matches} is true, the CustID should be supressed,
do the same with the other fields you wish to hide. Ie Address, City, etc.
