How to create dynamic list element in Site Studio designer?

Hi all,
I have installed the Site Studio Designer(10gR4).The dynamic list element that i have added in the contributor region executes a query to search and display all the files in a particular folder.In the contributor mode when i try to add/edit the dynamic list element it gives an error saying :
Unable to perform the action due to the following reasons:
[+] Unable to retrieve search results. Unable to retrieve search results. I have enabled the full-text search on the content server and also included xWebsites and xWebsiteObjectType columns to be full indexed in the Zone Fields Configuration.Is there any other setting to be done?Please help.

Include the xDontShowInListsForWebsites also from the zone filed and then update it.Then test it out.

Hi All,
I've created and can use a Static List Element Definition > Region Definition > Region Template with no problems based off of the 10gR4 samples.
However, there is no example that I've found to utilise the Element Definition of a Dynamic List. I'm attempting to use the same sample code as provided for a Static List but having no luck displaying the results of the query...
Does anyone have some sample code used in a Region Template or Sub Template to show how we use a Dynamic List Element Definition please?
I noted from another thread in this forum that there are some iDoc calls to make which load the query defined in the Element Definition... I can't find any documentation regarding this either.

We can create it only in the WD Modify View.
Get the instance for the Root UI Element Container.
Create the UI element Ex: Input Field, Text View etc.
Bind the UI Element to the Attribute Value.
Now bind the UI Element to the Root UI Element Container.

Can't create dynamic html elements with jsp????? important

I am having problem creating dynamic html elements with jsp tags, i have tried to use EL and java scriplet, both of them don't work.
i am trying to create dynamic menu in my "rightMenu.jspf", based on, if user has logged in or not.
some like this!
<jsp:if test ="${validUser == null}">
some simple text menu here
</jsp:if>
but it is not working. it simply loading all and images with in statement, regardless of whether user has logged in or not. i think some how if statement is not working properly.
"validUser" is a session bean, which is not creating at this point, it will created when user will log in successfully. and also this session bean does not exist at the page, where i am trying to check that .
Is there any way to create dynamic values in jsp. It is really important, is there any body who help me in this matter. i would be really grateful.

thanks for replying me. you know what, is it not something wrong with web.xml file. i remember once, i deleted some from there, a property with "*.jsp". i can't remember what exactly was it though.
all if statements works on files ending with extension ".jsp" but don't work only on with extension ".jspf". there must be to do with this.

I want to create dynamic varible , using ArrayList or Vector. The number of array i dont knwo, so how to create dynamic ArrayList or Vector.
for example:
ArrayList1,ArrayList2,ArrayList3.....n
or
Vector1,Vector2,Vector3 .....n, the n value i will get at run time, so how to create the dynamic ArrayList or Vector or i can use any other Object in java,

Now if you could somehow create those variables, how would you access them? You'd have to generate the code handling them as well ...
Tell us what kind of data you've got and what you want to do with it. There's certainly a better solution to your problem.

As you see above I am trying to create 'DYNFLIGHT' along with the 2 attributes which are inside this node. The structure of the node that is, no.of attributes may vary based on some condition. Thats why I am trying to create a node dynamically.

1 Businees Workplace->shared folder - create new subfolder name = WF_distributor
2.Then click on the distribution list in Businees Workplace.
say create Name = WF_Vliste
folder Name = WF_distributor
3.distribution list content tab
Enter Recipient (SAP User ID)
B.Wrkflow Builder
Find out the dialig step in which u want to use distribution list
Use workflow Rule 30000012 (SWX_READ_DLI).
Maintain the binding from workflow container to rule container.
Just pass the name of the distribution list from WF to Rule container.

Dynamic combo boxes::A combo box is dynamic if it references a document property for which a value set is defined in the configuration (System Administration ® System Configuration ® Content Management ® Global Services ® Property Metadata ® Properties ® Parameter Allowed Values).
At runtime (when you open the creation form) the system reads these values from the configuration and displays them in the dropdown list.
If you link a combo box for which list entries already exist to a document property with a value set, the system asks whether you want to delete the list entries. it is recommend that you accept this suggestion and delete the list entries from the XML Forms Builder. Otherwise inconsistencies could arise between the entries in the XML Forms Builder and the value set in the configuration. This can cause errors when saving.

How to create a container element?

Hi,
Could somebody please tell me how to create a container element and how to create a multi container element? How is this element used in the fork step?
I am using a fork with 3 branches but the agent assignment is a problem.The workitem does not go to the user set in the agents tab.

Hi Monica,
Within your Workflow Builder, there is a box on the left hand side that (Workflow Container). You should have an option (in change mode) to right-click and create or double-click on the <Double-Click to create> tab.
Or you can go to the Workflow Container "Goto -> Workflow Container" and click on the "Create" <F5> icon.
Same theory applies to creating a container element in your task. Go to your task and click on the "Container" button and select "Create".
When creating your container, you can specify if it is a multiline container by checking "Multiline" under the container attributes.
In a fork step, you would really only use your "Container Element" in the "End Condition" of a Fork step.
Please advise what the "Agent Assignment" is referring to when you're using it in your fork? Which step in the fork?
If you are assigning agents in one step of the fork, you cannot expect these agents to apply to your other 2 fork steps. The forks work independently of each other (to a point).
Please provide more information if you need more help.
