How to create free tool to make static PDF to interactive fillable PDF?

Hi,
In my one of project requirement ,i need to make static PDF in to Fillable/dynamic/interactive PDF with only use of Adobe Reader.
How to achieve this one ?. And how to implement using java code as I m not famillar with VB 2005 /C# e.t.c.

Given that Adobe Reader has no such capabilities for doing this - you will need to reject the requirement.
You can, of course, use Adobe Acrobat for such a product.

The whole point of a modal dialog is that you cannot interact with other things while it is active.
And Photoshop does not support plugins accessing the rest of Photoshop while any plugin UI is active.

How does one change the "rollover" value in text field of fillable PDF

I have a fillable PDF, and the values displayed when rolling the pointer over a fillable text field are showing some strange values. I inherited this form from someone who is no longer with the company. I need to be able to change the values but can't figure out how. I'm new to LiveCycle so any help is greatly appreciated.

I guess you are referring to "Tool Tip" you can update those in "Accessibility" Pallet...in designer you would access this by Shift+F6.

Open the pdf document in Adobe Acrobat. Click on File > Print > Choose Adobe PDF as printer.
The document will get flattened and you get a non fillable pdf

How to Create Free Text Area

Hi all,
I have a requirement where i need to create some 70 Z-fields inside Incident line item where user just enters data and will save the form.
i have achived this by adding the fields into ORDERADM_I and is working fine.. i am able to bring the fields in the Incident line item.
Now i have a requirement where i need to create 2 Free Text areas (like notes where user can enter unlimited text) .
how to achive this.
as of now i have created 2 more Z-fields in ORDERADM_I with 255 characters length and increased the line numbers into 4 in the GET_P method. but by doing this, user can enter only 255 characters and this is not a free text area.
can any one give me steps to create a new free text area.

this code will make the field as text area with size 4 lines . But the field length will be same as what we declare in the domine.. (max 256) . i cant enter unlimited text in this field though it looks like a text area.
i guess v need to create a standard text somewhere in configuration and assign the same here...
if anyone hv worked on this please revert back

I have a 5 question form I created. I'm using drop down boxes with a Likert Effectiveness scale from 1-5. I'd like to add a "Total Effectiveness" field to the bottom and calculate this based on the drop down box selections. How can I do this? Also - can I save such a form as "static" or must it be "dynamic"?

How to create icon/ tools?

Till this time I used to work mainly with photoshop regards to creating web sites, or adjust photo, photo manipulation etc. Now I ve got a very nice task ahead of me- to design minimalistic outline icons set- aproximetely around 10icon for web design.
Stuggling which tool I should use- I need realy nice curves to reach nice sexy icons:)

You may want to check out Illustrator, because to me at least that looks like a task that would benefit from being done with vector data (even if it may be converted to pixels later on).
