How to create instance of IProxy
can anyone help me how to create or get instance of of IProxy for Flexible UI ?
All i wanna do is to display content of ICollection object in iview using Flexible UI by simplest possible way
I don't wanna implement anything till it's not necessary
I just wanna use predefined layouts and components to display it
i'm trying to write something like this, but may be i'm completly wrong:
public void doProcessBeforeOutput() throws PageException {
Form myForm = this.getForm();
IResourceContext resourceContext = new ResourceContext(null);
URI uri = new URI("/");
IResource res = ResourceFactory.getInstance().getResource(uri,resourceContext);
ICollection col = (ICollection)res;
ICollectionRenderer cr = CollectionRendererFactory.getInstance().getCollectionRenderer(<missing IProxy>, col, IFlavorConst.FLAVOR_LIST);
myForm.addComponent(cr.renderAll());
but i still don't know what to use instead of <missing IProxy>
Hi Jurako,
// Create interaction

// Create IFunction instance
IFunctionsMetaData functionsMetaData = client.getFunctionsMetaData();
IFunction function
= functionsMetaData.getFunction("REMOTE_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME");

Thanks ,
Kranthi Kumar M.Hi Kranthi,
For your requirement you need only two nodes. Root Node and Result node. Use the same structure for both.
To create Instance while search.
Create Query method with input type which has the required fields for selection criteria.
Fetch the data and create instance in the root node.
Pass the new instance key as exporting parameter form Query Method.
To Move data from ROOT to Result.
Create a action at root node.
Write a code to create new entries in Result node.
Then configure the Search UIBB and display result in List UIBB. Add button and assign the action MOVE_MAT_2_RESULT.
Create another List uibb to display data from Result node.
Connect the UIBBs using wire schema. SEARCH -> LIST(ROOT) ---> LIST(RESULT).
Give src node association for ROOT to RESULT Configuration.

How to create instance object of Attachments2
I am trying to add attachments to Activities i.e. contacts. I read in 2005, Attachments2 replaces Attachments.
1) Just want to to know how to attach documents to Activities using Attachments2.
2) Or How to create an instance for Attachments2?
Many ThanksI am not sure if I understand your question but anyway this is <u>all</u> described in the SDK help.
Each of these objects
Contacts, ContractTemplates, CustomerEquipmentCards, EmployeeInfo, KnowledgeBaseSolutions, Messages, Message, SalesOpportunities, and ServiceContracts.
has an Attachements property that from 2005 onwards this is an Attachements2 object. So if you get the father object you will get also the attachement collection in memory. -

How to create instance of IRecordSet
I need to create instance of

Now i'm doing it this way:
MappedRecord output = (MappedRecord) ix.execute(ixspec, input);
Object inTable = output.get("REQUISITION_ITEMS");
((IRecordSet)inTable).insertRow();
((IRecordSet)inTable).setString("DOC_TYPE","NB");
input.put("REQUISITION_ITEMS", ((IRecordSet)inTable));
output = (MappedRecord) ix.execute(ixspec, input);
I'm calling 'ix.execute(ixspec, input)' twice
First time just to get instance of IRecordSet inTable
and second time for executing BAPI call
I think there must be better way to get that instance

How to create instance of user defined suite
I have create one user defined suite interface (ISuite) and inherite it to IsuiteASB and IsuiteCSB . The purpose of creating user defined suite is to provide hyphenation for selected text. I want to add a method which will detect whether a text has been selected by user or not , if selected then I am calling one hyphator function. I am not able to create an instance of user defined suite . I am using following syntax: <br />in UpdateActionState I am using <br /> InterfacePtr<ISuite>suite(ac->GetContextSelection(),UseDefaultIID()); <br /><br />in one user defined method I am using <br /> InterfacePtr<ISuite>suite(Utils<ISelectionUtils>()->GetActiveSelection() , UseDefaultIID()); <br /><br />Both calls unsuccessfull. <br /><br />Which Interface I should use to detect whether Text has been selected by user or ITextUtils or any other. <br />Please tell me the preoper way to create interface suite and create instance of it. <br />Thank you.
I've seen this wording before ... Wait -- you must be referring to the SDK. Better post your question in the SDK forum, we're just helpless end-users, and in this case, clueless as well.

Urgent - How to create instance of Business Object in workflow at runtime
Hi all,
I have a requirement as follows...
1) I have a Business Object ISUPOD in which the Key field is Pointof Delivery
2) I am getting the value for Pointof Delivery in the step-2 of my workflow.
3) Now I want to create a instance for the Business Object using this key field value in my Workflow at runtime and use the instance in the following steps.
How can I do this ???
Thanks,
SivagamiHi Ravi,
Thanks for the solution...
There is also a wizard that will generate an activity to do this. We have to just go to Wizards->Include "Create Object Reference" which will create the task with the BO & Method referred by you.

Hi all,
I have problem with creating static fields in class. I have separate packages in my project and I need to have instances for all classes in this packages. I create instance of class using next code:
public class Digest
private static Digest digest = null;
protected Digest ()
public static Digest getInstance()
if(digest == null)
digest = new Digest();
return digest;
public static void clearInstacePool()
digest = null;
}But I have problem with deleting my packages and applet after I call Digest.getInstance(). I need to implement clearInstacePool() method to set reference of digest to null in unistall() method of my applet. Question is: how to create instance of class without implementing clearInstacePool()?Question is: how to create instance of class without implementing clearInstacePool()?That question doesn't make sense,or at least it is ambiguous. 'Create instance' usually involves the 'new' operator, which has nothing to do with what methods are implemented. Do you mean how to code the class without implementing clearInstancePool()?

1. My requirement is to create a database on a system, which has one instance already running.
2. How to create instance in LINUX(oradim = windows) or can I go directly and create database using the below procedure?
1.set variable
2. create file initsid.ora, orapwd
3. create database?
Please helpUnix like systems and windows work in different ways due to architecture differences. Oracle on windows requires the oradim command to be run prior to start up an instance. On unix like systems, since they don't require services, you can directly set the ORACLE_SID environment variable, have your parameter file (either pfile or spfile) properly configured and parameterized and startup your instace with the startup nomount command.
If you are planning to manually create a database with this procedure I suggest you to take a look at the CREATE DATABASE command, there are many more issues that go beyond the scope of a single post in a thread.

How to create new OC4J instance in AS 10.1.3 with BC4J- and ADF-Libraries
Hi
I have done all the steps mentioned in this thread:
How to create new OC4J instance in AS 10.1.3
However, the new created OC4J instance obviously misses some libraries. If I deploy my Application to this OC4J I get an internal error: Class not found: oracle.jbo.JboException.
The same Application runs well in the "home" Instance.
What is the trick, to create a new OC4J instance, which more or less behaves the same way as the "home" instances (and especially has all the same libraries)?
Thanks for your help
Frank BrandstetterI encountered this last month. I definitely agree that it is a glaring omission to not have "Create Like" functionality when instantiating new containers. Here's my notes on the manual steps required after using createinstance to create the fresh container. Not too bad. I've been deploying ADF applications to the new container with no problems after this.
==============
The default (home) OC4J container is pre-configured for ADF 10.1.3 applications; however, when $ORACLE_HOME/bin/createinstance is used to create additional containers, these containers are not configured automatically to host ADF 10.1.3 applications.
I followed these manual steps:
1. $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/home/config/server.xml defines three shared libraries that "install" the needed JARs for Oracle ADF applications in your application server instance (container). Note that "install" does not necessarily mean available to applications (see Step 2). Copy the three shared library element definitions to the <application-server> element of your new container (in server.xml).

How to create process instance throught PAPI?
Hi,
Can someone share how do we use PAPI to create a process instance for the Expense Management process (process in the BPM tutorial)?
I believe it is through calling the processCreateInstance() method from a ProcessServiceSession object, however, what exactly do we pass in as a parameter? I tried simply by passing in the process name and an empty Arguments object and the following exception was logged:

I'm wondering why does it complain that "fuego.papi.ProcessNotAvailableException: Process '/ExpenseReport#Default-1.0' not available.", when the ExpenseReport process is indeed a process that was published?
P.S.: I know this thread is sort of a duplicate of another thread, however I hope we can get some real examples of how to create a process instance for the Expense Management project, using PAPI (instead of PAPI webservice).

Edited by: sylarchong on Feb 18, 2009 5:21 AMHi Mark,
Thanks for your prompt reply.. I tried with the above option but still am facing the same problem.
Let me give you the brief idea of what am working on;
1) I created a process using Oracle BPM Studio V: 10.3.1.0 & Build: #94375
2) I publish & deploy the process using Oracle BPM Admin Center which running on top of tomcat. But in the configuration I configure the directory as well as weblogic server.
3) I created a "Java Project" & included following jar file "b1base.jar","b1oracle.jar","b1util.jar","bcel.jar","ejb-api.jar","fuegopapi-client.jar","jms-api.jar","ojdbc14.jar","weblogic.jar","wljmsclient.jar".
4) I am using below program to create a PAPI Process Instance;
package ibm.com.papi;
import java.util.Properties;
import fuego.papi.CommunicationException;
import fuego.papi.InstanceInfo;
import fuego.papi.OperationException;
import fuego.papi.ProcessService;
import fuego.papi.ProcessServiceSession;
public class PAPIWithDirectoryFileExample {
public static void main(String[] args) {
// ///////////////// API Initialization ///////////////////
Properties configuration = new Properties();
configuration.setProperty(ProcessService.DIRECTORY_ID, "default");
configuration.setProperty(ProcessService.DIRECTORY_PROPERTIES_FILE, "C://tmp//directory.xml");
configuration.setProperty(ProcessService.INSTANCES_CACHE_SIZE, "50000");
configuration.setProperty(ProcessService.WORKING_FOLDER, "c://tmp");
configuration.setProperty(ProcessService.UPDATE_SESSIONS_VIEWS, "true");
System.setProperty("fuego.j2ee.initialctx.file","C:\\tmp\\engine.properties");
System.setProperty("fuego.j2ee.initialctx.resource","engine.properties");
System.setProperty("fuego.j2ee.initialctx.url","file://tmp/engine.properties");
//engine.properties include below settings
//System.setProperty("java.naming.factory.initial", "weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory");
//System.setProperty("java.naming.provider.url", "t3://localhost:7001");
try {
ProcessService processService = ProcessService.create(configuration);
///////////////// Establish a session ///////////////////

for (String processId : session.processesGetIds()) {
System.out.println("\n Process: " + processId);
for (InstanceInfo instance : session
.processGetInstances(processId)) {
System.out.println(" -> " + instance.getId());
fuego.papi.Arguments papiArgs= fuego.papi.Arguments.create();
papiArgs.putArgument("inputNameArg", "inputString");
InstanceInfo instInfo = null;
instInfo = session.processCreateInstance("/Process#Default-1.0",papiArgs);

How to create an instance of a protected class outside the enclosing packag
Hi all,
I have a piece of code like this:
package test;
public class A {
protected class B { }
How to create an instance of B outside the package test ? Could you please give me an example ?
Thanks
Ha ChauThank WirajR for your reply, but in your solution,
you have to create an instance of B inside class A
and pass it outside. I would like to know whetherwe
can create an instance of class B outside thepackage
test. That means I want the instance creation
expression of B appears outside the package test.Can
we do that?
If you want to use a class this way then it shouldn't
be marked protected. I can't see why you don't
just declare it public if that's what it is.
Wouldn't be much point to haveing a protected
modifier if it had no effect, would there?I think there is use for it if you use an interface to filter out the parts you want to give public access to, and keep the part you want to keep protected, protected
