How to Create Presentation Handouts in Keynote

I'm a recovering PowerPoint user that's been using Apple Keynote for my presentations for about a year. I find it much friendlier to graphics and media. It took me a while to figure out how to create B/W six slide/page handouts that I could easily PDF to clients. PS. I use the Mac native pdf creation tools (too cheap to buy Adobe Acrobat for my Mac). Thought I'd pass it along.

    I just want to create a table that should horizontally display the values like below:

    Department: Hematology
    User: thenmozhi
    Database: OLAP
    I think we can create this type of report using either Narrative or Static Text. But I am not sure whether it is possible or not? And also another thing is that sectioning is applied for SUID Tag # column. So, depending on the dashboard prompt if the SUID Tag # retrieves two or more values.
    Then the first value for example 123456     and the values for the other columns related to this SUID Tag # value should display in the first page (i.e., page 1). And if the next value of the SUID Tag # for example say 678901 then the values should move to second page that is like this:
         SUID Tag # :678901               Year Mfg: 2008                                                                                     
         Description: Computer Manufacturing FA ID#: 4577
         Model Number: 4570 hESC: #eth
         Serial Number: 78946 Flags: G
    Department: Hematology
    User: Rehman
    Database: OLAP

  • How to view presentation outline in Keynote 09 for iPad?

    Keynote'09 for osx has a outline option in the view menu.
    Is there such option in keynote for iPad?
    If not where can I ask this feature? - hopefully for a future patch/update.

    I could not find the outline view either. But if you create a slide with a pre-inserted "title" text box, it will create an outline with the text you type on the same "title" box.

    Touch the left side of the iPad to bring up the slides then select the last slide.  Go back to presentation mode and swipe right like going to the next slide and it will exit presentation mode.

    You can see an example of that in BI Beans samples - open the Java client project. You can donwload the BI Beans samples from here:

    You can also generate a BI Beans default Java client class in JDeveloper and look at the generated code. To generate a Java client class, follow these steps:
    1. In JDeveloper create a new workspace
    2. Create a new project
    3. Create a new BIDesigner and specify the connection details
    4. Right click on BI Designer, and in the New Gallerychoose Business Intelligence Beans -> Client Tier for OLAP -> Java client class to generate a default Java client application.

    I am trying to convert to Keynote from PowerPoint and I was wondering how to create odds ratio plots without drawing them out. These are plots of an odds ratio and its 95% confidence interval.
    In PowerPoint, one creates a line chart, removes the lines leaving the data points, and then adds high-low bars for each data point. Easy.
    How do I do this in iWork/Keynote?

    A line chart is a "Category" chart.
    One axis, usually the 'x' axis, is a Category axis. The category axis does not show numerical values (even if the values are numbers, they are simply text that names each category). Categories are evenly spaced along this axis. Labels for the categories must be placed into a Header Column.
    Values shown on the Value axis (usually the 'y' axis) are numerical.
    Here are two examples of the same data, presented first as a scatter chart with the data points connected by line segnments, then as a line graph.
    Note the differences in organization of the table, and the differences in spacing along the x axis.
    Scatter chart:
    All data in 'body' cells. Series labels in Header row. Note the shape of the line for Data series B (Green) and C (Yellow).
    Line Chart:
    Category labels in a Header column (Column A), Data series labels in a Header Row (Row 1). The 'numbers ' in column A are seen as text, and a regularly spaced along the x axis.
    Data series in regular cells (B2:D8) Only the data cells are selected when making the chart.
    Note the shapes of the lines for data series B (Green) and C (Yellow).
    For your setup, you would need to place the 'x' values into a Header column. The Y values in columns Y, Z and AA could stay in those columns.
    You would select only columns Y, Z and AA, then make the Line chart, as I've done in the example below after inserting some new columns to the left of that data.

    Yes use Quicktime. Try to create a presentation that uses a widescreen aspect 1280 x 720 would be good, then export it at full quality which should give you a movie of 720p at 24 fps and should be just fine for the tv, if you have any problems with exporting it this way, you could try manual settings or simply run the export you made at full quality through itunes using advanced/create an Apple tv version.

    Hello all!  So, there are lots of answer to this for iWork'09, but I haven't found them for the current version of Work.
    What I'd like to do is take data from Numbers and create a chart in Keynote that would then auto-update if I edited the data in Numbers.  Put another way, the Keynote chart data would 'live' in Numbers - every time I edit the Numbers data, I'd like those changes to reflect in Keynote.  Any thoughts on how to do this outside of always cutting and pasting from Numbers to Keynote?
