    I think we can create this type of report using either Narrative or Static Text. But I am not sure whether it is possible or not? And also another thing is that sectioning is applied for SUID Tag # column. So, depending on the dashboard prompt if the SUID Tag # retrieves two or more values.
    Then the first value for example 123456     and the values for the other columns related to this SUID Tag # value should display in the first page (i.e., page 1). And if the next value of the SUID Tag # for example say 678901 then the values should move to second page that is like this:

  • How to Create Presentation Handouts in Keynote

    I'm a recovering PowerPoint user that's been using Apple Keynote for my presentations for about a year. I find it much friendlier to graphics and media. It took me a while to figure out how to create B/W six slide/page handouts that I could easily PDF to clients. PS. I use the Mac native pdf creation tools (too cheap to buy Adobe Acrobat for my Mac). Thought I'd pass it along.

    You can also generate a BI Beans default Java client class in JDeveloper and look at the generated code. To generate a Java client class, follow these steps:
    1. In JDeveloper create a new workspace
    2. Create a new project
    3. Create a new BIDesigner and specify the connection details
    4. Right click on BI Designer, and in the New Gallerychoose Business Intelligence Beans -> Client Tier for OLAP -> Java client class to generate a default Java client application.

  • How to create a quality presentation in Acrobat 9 Pro

    I think I got this, but I'm checking to make sure, even though I've owned the CS4 Master Collection for 2 years, I've done very little with Acrobat. Adobe Presenter is not an option for me at this time.
    I own MS PowerPoint 2007, but my guess is that I can produce a better presentation using Acrobat than PowerPoint. It seems as simple as importing whatever still pages I have created/obtained in Photoshop or elsewhere and using the multi-media options to add audios & videos. Then, after appropriate adjustments in Edit>Preferences, just run it in full screen mode and I'm good to go.
    Presuming Acrobat will handle image & video resolutions at least as well as PowerPoint, I ask for any suggestions, cautions, and best of all, maybe a good video tutorial on creating nice presentations using Acrobat.
    Another question is whether it is better to start with PowerPoint and finish in Acrobat.
    Finally, I love the portfolio revolve format, but there isn't a way to do this in presentation form, like by using a sort of full screen view without the menu bar, etc., is there?

    I create presentations in my word processor. But I am not dealing with the audio and video issues. The latter can be added in Acrobat. In a typical use, Acrobat will ask if you want to run certain video or audio as a security check. That aspect annoys a lot of folks, but it is for your own good.
    In my word processor (not WORD, but a technical word processor) I have a slide template and style sheet. If you like PPT, then you could also start there and add the audio/video when you get to Acrobat. LaTeX also has a slide template and a lot of dedicated LaTeX users start there and then create the PDF for the actual presentation. In any case, you generally need to create your content someplace else and then convert to Acrobat. Acrobat is not really an editor as your question could imply. However, you can bring together several pages created in other applications to make a final presentation.
    Doubt I helped much, but maybe this provides some guidance.

    I have a question for my J2EE engine. We configured LDAP for user storage, so that our User can use there normal LDAP user ID. Now I want to create an administrative user like J2EE_ADMIN or Administrator, these are standard users and present in the UME of the J2EE engine since the installation of my portal.
    But when I go to the user admin and want to create this new admin user, I got an error message, that Im not able to create it.
    I also try to create the user via the Visual Admin and the J2EE Useradmin.
    So my question is, how can create this new user in the UME and NOT in the LDAP???

    If your idea is to have single Sign on , I would say the process is to create the user in LDAP itself that will be the single point of entry ,  Since the UME is configured and connected to LDAP normally with read permission your best bet will be to create the user in LDAP.
    SSO with  is configured to all your backend syst ( trusts needs to be configured between Java/Portal to all your backend systems  by Basis team), also the ids needs to exist in all the backends.
    Now to come back to your question:
    If you can login to UME of portal/Java , and create the user do not expect it to appear on your LDAP
    mainly because LDAP will never be configured in a Enterprise project  as bidirectional ( ie Read/Write ), it will be readonly.
    Also if the Basis/Portal team allow you the option to create the user in UME , they will have to restart the machine everytime you need to point to a  different data source , but I dont know if this is the case in EHP4 versions, because SAP claims with EHP4 downtimes are almost nullified.

  • How to create a report in Form line Style and can display Image field?

    In Report builder 10g, I would like to create a Report with Form Line Style and this report included a Image field.
    I can choose this Style only when Select Report type is Paper Layout. Because, If I choose Create both Web & Paper Layout or Create Web Layout only then in the next Style tab 03 option Form, Form letter and Mailing Label be Disabled.
    But in Paper Layout, my report can not display Image field.
    I tried with Web layout and all the other Styles (Except 03 mentioned be Disabled) then all Styles are displayed Imager field OK.
    How to create a report in Form line Style and can display Image field?
    I was change File Format property of my Image field from text to Image already in Property Inspector. But report only showed MM for my Image field.

    Here you go..Just follow these steps blindly and you are done.
    1) Create a year prompt with presentation variable as pv_year
    2) Create a report say Mid report with year column selected 3 times
    - Put a filter of pv_year presentation variable on first year column with a default value say @{pv_year}{2008}
    - Rename the second time column say YEAR+1 and change the fx to CAST(TIME_DIM."YEAR" AS INT)+1
    - Rename the second time column say YEAR-1 and change the fx to CAST(TIME_DIM."YEAR" AS INT)-1
    Now when you will run Mid Report, this will give you a records with value as 2008 2009 2007
    3) Create your main report with criteria as Year and Measure col
    - Change the fx for year column as CAST(TIME_DIM."YEAR" AS INT)
    - Now put a filter on year column with Filter based on results of another request and select these:
    Relationship = greater than or equal to any
    Saved Request = Browse Mid Report
    Use values in Column = YEAR-1
    - Again,put a filter on year column with Filter based on results of another request and select these:
    Relationship = less than or equal to any
    Saved Request = Browse Mid Report (incase it doesn't allow you to select then select any other request first and then select Mid Report)
    Use values in Column = YEAR+1
    This will select Year > = 2007 AND Year < = 2009. Hence the results will be for year 2007,2008,2009
    This will 100% work...

    I have one requirement that there is one property table named 'Store Master' in DW,and it contains a lot of attribute, such as Open Date, Close Date, IS 24 Hour etc.
    But another data source is essbase and based on this source, I create all reports.
    In ESSBASE, it has one dimension and hierarchy Location, and it has four level, Country(L1),Region (L2),Province(L3),Store(L4)
    So I want to know how to create the relationship between Location (ESSBASE) and Store Master (DM).
    I try to create one relationship in physical layer between Gen4,Location and Store, then drag the open date and close date into Location Dimension in BMM,then Presentation Layer.
    When I drag column 'Open Date' ,'Gen4,Location ' and 'Sales' into reports, it will generate the following error message:
    State: HY000. Code: 10058. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: HY000] [nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. [nQSError: 43113] Message returned from OBIS. [nQSError: 43119] Query Failed: [nQSError: 14020] None of the fact tables are compatible with the query request Dim Region.Store Open Date. (HY000)
    However, when I remove the column 'Open Date'. it will be ok.
    So what I missing the steps? Please help me. Thanks.

    I am not sure if you are talking about the length(as in varchar(128)) of the member value being different in different sources, or the member itself is different in both the sources.
    I am still assuming, that you are referring to the members not same in both the sources.If it is, the whole concept of federation is based on conforming dimensions. So, it needs that the same dimension information is present in both the sources and then only, you know we can analyze the numbers based on this dimension. So, either the dimension being different in both sources, or the members not present in both the dimensions might lead to incorrect numbers.
    So I select Store Attributes in relation DB and Location in ESSBASE in physical layer, then create the physical join, such as right("Hour Sales"."H_Sales".""."H_Sales"."Gen6,Location",4) = "Authorization".""."EDW"."T_EDW_MDM_STORE"."US_CODE", then drag the OPEN_DATE and CLOSE_DATE in relation DB to Location in ESSBASE in BMM,finially drag them into presentation layer.We create physical layer relationships, to send over the same relation to the underlying database during querying. So, creating a physical relationship between essbase cube and relation database would not help here.
    When you set up this federation, BI Server sends individual queries to each source and maps the conforming dimension members internally.

  • How to create subpicture for a button?

    Hello!
    I have really tried to find the answer to this rather silly problem on my own, but without result. Please help someone!
    The situation:
    I have a menu with three choices: "Play Movie", "Scene Selection" and "Subtitles". Now, the text presenting these choices are part of the background image, created in Premiere (the program I know best). They are written with an old typewriter to get that gritty feeling.
    I want the user to scroll between these "menu items". The currently selected item should be indicated by a black circle/spot/dot before the text of the item. By default, when the menu appears, there is a black circle in front of (to the immediate left of) the item "Play Movie". The user should now be able to step with his/her remote to the other items, thereby making the black circle in front of "Play Movie" disappear and appearing instead before some of the other items. In short: the black circle is always showing before the currently selected item. OK, I got a bit verbose there, but the idea got across hopefully. One more thing: the background color is 100% white.
    Up to this point, my solution was this: I placed black circles (small images with gradation and all, very nice looking) in front of ALL THREE ITEMS. Then I convert these into buttons. Then I choose the color set for the menu so that the unselected state is 100% white, plain and simple, with 100% opacity, thereby covering the black circles that should not show. Only in the selected and activated states does opacity for the button subpicture drop to 0%, thereby revealing the black circle that should be seen.
    The problem? Well, on some DVD-players (not on the XBOX 360 though), when an item is activated, all three circles show for a brief moment before the selected action starts (for example playing the movie). It also happens in Encore Preview. This is not logical at all and looks amateurish. I don't know why it happens, but my guess is that it wouldn't if I did this the "correct" way: by creating subpictures fo the buttons in the shape of circles. I understand the nice looking gradations must go out the window but that is a price I'm willing to pay.
    But now I run into an unexpected problem: I don't understand how to create a subpicture for the button that is a black circle. It seems the documentation in Encore and on forums in general takes for granted that you know how to do this.
    What I tried ws this: I created a monochrome, small image in bmp format - a black circle on white background. But this image just shows up as a black rectangle in Encore.
    What should I do? I should add that I have no real experience with Photoshop, so go slow if you go there.

    Basically, when one realizes the limitations of the Sub-picture Highlights, as set by the DVD-specs., it's easy to see the "workaround."
    A couple of the aspects of Sub-picture Highlights are:
    1.) 2-bit color (either ON, or OFF), from a limited color palette, with degrees of Transparency (the opposite of PS's Opacity).
    2.) they will appear on top of anything else on the Menu, including things like Button text/graphics.
    By constructing your Sub-picture Highlight in PS, you can use Masking to define where it will be, and where it will not be. In the case that prompted my article, the poster had a series of Text Buttons, and the Sub-picture Highlights were formed from that Text. The poster did not like the look of those 2-bit jagged blocks of color overlying the Text in the Button. The workaround is to "punch a hole" in the Sub-picture Highlight, so that it is hollow, where the Button's Text appears. This is done in PS, by using the "outline" of that Text to create a Mask for the Sub-picture Highlight. The jagged aspect can be adjusted a bit, by using a degree of Transparency (set in the non-Auto Color Set back in Encore). We still have a 2-bit color Sub-picture Highlight, and it still overlays the Button's Text, but now there is a hole in it, right where the Button's Text is located, and it is seen through that hole. The introduction of Transparency has the visual effect of "softening" the look of the 2-bit color, even though the jagged edges are still there - they just look softer. I went on to show how one could even use a second Sub-picture Highlight, that is just a bit larger than the first, and with more Transparency to simulate a "glow." Now, we cannot have a real "glow," because we are limited to that 2-bit color for the Sub-picture Highlight, but we can simulate it.
    Much of what a designer does is really slight of hand - illusion. They all have to work within the limitations of the DVD (or BD) specs., but with a bit of creativity, planning and some work in PS and Encore, they can create enough smoke and use enough mirrors to fool the user into believing that what they think they see skirt the DVD-specs. They do not, but that's where the illusion comes in.
    We get a lot of questions from people, who claim that one commercial DVD, or another, has full-color Sub-picture Highlights and they complain that Encore cannot do that - only 2-bit Sub-picture Highlights. What they are seeing, but do not realize it, is a dupe Menu, with a full-color graphic, and no real Sub-picture Highlight visible. Jeff gives full details on doing this. Same for those who have seen a Button with a duo-tone thumbnail, that turns full-color, when the Button is navigated to. Wow, how did they do that, and why can't Adobe Encore do that? Well, what they saw was a dupe Menu, with a full-color thumbnail and no visible real Sub-picture Highlight.
    Jeff shows how to create what appears to be at least a 3-color Sub-picture Highlight. It's really just 3 regular 2-bit color Sub-picture Highlights, with Masking to create the illusion that he beat the DVD-specs. Neat! [Being from the USA, I also liked that he used the US flag, but he could have chosen the French "Tri-color," or any other flag, without artwork.]
    These are all just tricks, but if the user buys into the illusion, who's to know?

    I'm trying to follow geometrixx-outdoors example to create my shoppingCart. I have a list of of products in /etc/commerce/products.... referenced by productPage in content.
    But I don't know how to create custom CommerceProvider and Adapter to create proper Product objects - it always picks up geoProductImpl.
    As I understand I need to specify cq:commerceProvider to myProvider and then I need to somehow register MyProvider so it gets picked up.
    Also I guess I need to add MyProductAdapter somehow  so when shoppingCart executes following it returns my implementation instead of geoProductImpl.
    Product product = productResource.adaptTo(Product.class);
    I'd really appreciate if anyone could share an example or point me in the right direction for a guide.
