How to create reports using jDeveloper

what procedure to follow in order to creating
reports drawn from mysql or Oracle 8.5.0 database.

I have created 'reports' using BC4J and the JSP Web Application wizard (I use the RowsetBrowser bean).
On the BC4J side, I use read only View Objects based on SQL queries (not based on Entity Objects).
On the JSP side, I create a HTML form where the user can enter their query criteria, pass that criteria as parameters to the ViewObject query, then use a RowSetBrowser bean to display the results.
You can also write your own custom beans to format the output of the report as you like.

There is no reason why a properly written Java stored program cannot be used in APEX, provided that whatever it is doing makes sense in an APEX/web context, and isn't some nonsense like using DBMS_OUTPUT to generate a CSV.

Create similar kind of joins which you make after importing physical tables from db.
There is no difference in making joins in the excel. (both physical and BMM layers).
But always remember there are many limitations for having excel as database.

I want to create a report using the parameters passed from the previous page. take an example:
Now in the page B, it got 2 parameters P1_Table,P1_column passed from Page A, i want to get the report about :

Here is some code that creates xml for any SQL that returns a ResultSet. Note this uses my default out-of-the-box XML template, but you can quickly create and use your own templates to generate xml to look anyway you desire.

Create Reports using Designer

Does anybody have any document to create a simple report using designer tables.

The best thing to do is to find a report among the reports that are supplied with Designer that contains most of the information that you want in your new report. Then make a copy of it, and use the Oracle Reports Developer to adapt it for what you need. This will give you a good example of a working report.
On the other hand, I myself am not very comfortable with Oracle Reports, so I don't do it that way. I prefer to write reports as PL/SQL Server pages and run them on the web. To make it easier, I wrote what I call a "cursor package" - a PL/SQL package containing pre-defined queries against the CI_ views in the repository. I don't currently have this available for download, but I will try to remember to add it to my web site.

Developing reports using JDeveloper 3.0

Is it possible to develop reports using jdeveloper 3.0, so that the end users can print reports over the internet? Is that a feature in jdeveloper or do I have to buy a third party tool?

Creating HTML/XML-XSL based reports in JDeveloper is completely doable.
To do this you can either create a Servlet or a JSP. This JSP/Servlet can use either either JDBC or BC4J to access a datasource in the database.

I am new to BPC, In BPC 7.5 i seen like we can generate EPM report using EVDRE function very quickly and easy too. Is the same feature is existing in BPC 10.0 ? if no how can we create EPM reports using EPM Functions with Dynamic Filters on the Members of the dimension like in BPC 7.5.
And i searched in SDN, there is no suitable blogs or documents which are related to generation of Reports using EPM Functions. All are described just in simple syntax way. It is not going to be understand for the beginners.

These functions are not used to create reports per se but rather assist in building reports. For ex, you want to make use of certain property to derive any of the dimension members in one of your axes, you will use EPMMemberProperty. Similary, if you want to override members in any axis, you will make use of EPMDimensionOverride.
Also, EvDRE is not replacement of EPM functions. Rather, you simply create reports using report editor (drag and drop) and then make use of EPM functions to build your report. Forget EvDRE for now.
You can protect your report to not allow users to have that Edit Report enabled for them.
As Vadim rightly pointed out, start building some reports and then ask specific questions.

How to create report in Bulk

Dear Gurus/Experts,
We changed the templated linked to a report by creating a new version. Now we want all the reports ( MSDS) associated with this template to be updated in version for all the specifications it is linked with so that the chagnes in the new version is used & it's changes are reflected in reports, How can we manually update version of reports in bulk via CG02 if there exists a procedure or how to create reports in bulk. The jobs are failing & we have been asked to do it manually.

no chance. There is no standard approach here. You have to go trhough spec by spec and gen var/language combination. But it is quite common to use "work arounds" (own programming etc:). Check may be: Customer Exits in SAP EHS MANAGEMENT
as a starting point.

Select the library that you want report to create. GRR1
You select what to list in coulumns and what to lisr in rows. You could select characteristics or key figures.
You can use variable both in defininig row and coulmn or in general selection.
You can also use sets as variable or as constant. These sets can be your master data groups or sets in GS02.
You can use formulas.

Okay. I need to be a little more specific.
I know how to create reports from the query manager. This process is fairly straightfoward. Once you have created a query, you can create a report using this query.
What I am trying to accomplish is to add a new report for A/R invoice. Currently, it shows two report types (for the demo database):
1. Invoice - Service with logo
2. Invoice - Service (system)
I would like to add one more report type to this list. However, I cannot figure out how to do this.
