How to create the users applvis and oravis..?

Hi All,
I had done witha single box installation of 11.5.10.2 on RHEL Release 4
While installation, it has installed with a single user named 'oracle' , that is owning the application and database
now how can i make the applvis and oravis users and give them the user privileges..?

You can live with 'oracle' user with 'dba' default group to manage the application/database especially if you have a single node installation.
If you want to shift to multi-user, create one application manager user 'applprod' and one database manager user 'oraprod' and make the 'dba' the default group for both of them.
'applprod' user owns $APPL_TOP, $COMMON_TOP, 8.0.6_HOME and $IAS_HOME
'oraprod' user owns $ORACLE_HOME and the datafiles.
If you want these two users to manage your environment then you have to change the ownership

Class override, how to create the child class and then the base class

I started to write a program for a smart DMM, the problem is every version of the DMM the company change the communication commend.
My idea is to write a child class for every DMM version and every SubVI of the child will override the base class SubVI.
My problem is, i want first to create one child class and after i will see every thing is work, start to create the base class. that way i will see if am thinking the right way.
My question is
How can i create a child class and then create the base class and configure the SubVi of the child class to be Override of the base class?
I tried to search in the property of the class but i didn't see nothing.

This can be done and I've done it on occasion.
You simply create the base class with the dynamic dispatch methods you require (connector panes need to be identical to thos of the child class).
Then set the inheritance of the class to inherit from this base class. If your method is defined as a dynamic dispatch method in the parent, you'll most likely now have some errors (unless your child method was already DD in which case you might just be OK already).
To change the inheritance of a class, right-click the properties of the class in your project and select properties. I believe the ineritance tree is at the lower end of the properties. Click on the "change inheritance" (or something similar) to choose the class from which you now wish to inherit.

Hi Varisetty,
Finding user exits and BAdis from SPRO can be cumbsersome. In most instances you know the standard SAP program and want to check (find) an exit called in the flow of the transaction. You can do this as follows:
For User Exit:
Put "/h" in the command box (to start debugging)
Execute your transaction
When you enter debugging - put a breakpoint at statement
CALL CUSTOMER-FUNCTION
the control will stop at all calls to User Exits
For BAdi (it's simpler)
Go to class CL_EXITHANDLER in SE24
Enter method GET_INSTANCE
Put a breakpoint in this method
Run your standard transaction - control will stop at all BAdis called within the flow since this method is used to check BAdi implementations before invoking them
Also, if you want to find enhancements by package - go to SE80, enter the package and check function groups starting with X - those contain function exits (conventional user exits). For BAdis in a package, there is normally a separate tree node (under the package) for Enhancements hence clearly identifiable.

I am trying to work on an example of "Customizing the Query and Creating an Associated Custom Method"

You need to set values for the parameters in your query before you try to execute the query in the view object.
So you need to call the setBindVars method before the query.

How to create new user account and delete old one?

Greetings,
we have wanted to change our alias on the discussions group but understand from the frequently asked questions section that,
"Once you create an alias, you cannot make changes to it. If you want to change your alias, you will need to create a new User Account".
However it does not go on to tell us specifically how to now set up a "new User Account". Could someone specify how to do this? And if we do this, how would we then delete the current User Account? Thank you.

Not with the same Primary address, but you can use your MM address as a secondary one. That is how I have my 2 Apple IDs setup. 1 uses my Dot Mac address and the other uses an ISP address as the Primary with the latter having my Dot Mac address as an alternate address.
Warning, even if you create a new account, you won't be able to use your current ALIAS with the new account.

Need urgent help on how to compare the user profile and process form attributes

We have a requirement where after editing the user profile attributes we have to compare the currently modified user profile attributes and the existing
process form attributes and based on the differences we have to update the process form accordingly.
We have around 80 attributes so we cannot follow the procedure where
we update the lookup process_triggers
and add the "change attribute" task
and "update attribute" taskin the process definition
because it creates aroung 160 tasks in process definition. So we are doing it by writing a custom code. Is there any other simple way to do it or any API"s which can help us.

Please provide the steps involved for the same.......
BW/BI - Recovery Process for SNP data.
For each SNP InfoProvider,
create:
1) Export Data:
1.a) Create an export data source, InfoPackage, comm structure, etc. necessary to create an ASCII fixed length flat file on the XI
ctnhsappdata\iface\SCPI063\Out folder for each SNP InfoProvider.
1.b) All fields in each InfoProvider should be exported and included in the flat file.
1.c) A process chain should be created for each InfoProvider with a start event.
1.d) If the file exists on the target drive it should be overwritten.
1.e) The exported data file name should include the InfoProvider technical name.
1.f) Include APO Planning Version, Date of Planning Run, APO Location, Calendar Year/Month, Material and BW Plant as selection criteria.
2) Import Data:
2.a) Create a flat file source system InfoPackage, comm structure, etc. necessary to import ASCII fixed length flat files from the XI
ctnhsappdata\iface\SCPI063\Out folder for each SNP InfoProvider.
2.b) All fields for each InfoProvider should be mapped and imported from the flat file.
2.c) A process chain should be created for each InfoProvider with a start event.
2.d) The file should be archived in the
ctnhsappdata\iface\SCPI063\Archive directory. Each file name should have the date appended in YYYYMMDD format. Each file should be deleted from the \Out directory after it is archived.

HCM P&Forms:How to create a user event and scenario step mapping

Hi Friends
I have a problem with Form Scenarios --> Other Attributes -->User Events:
At present the values are: Operation :- the_operation_name
Field Groups :- Field Group assigned
Usable from scenario step :- Emp_Req_scenarion_stepname1
I need to enter a new mapping here so that the operation is available in another scenario step as well.
But in the edit I can enter only the operation name, not able to enter the scenario step.
Can someone please suggest a solution or work around. Your inputs are appreciated.

Not quite true. A "user event" looks at what fields you selected for your "field group" for the event. Then ANY operation that has that field associated with it will get called (unless a "rule" stops it). User Events in HCM P&F are REALLY BAD in my opinion (I have ranted on them in many threads, blogs etc.). There are ways to deal with them and also ways around using them (see my blogs). I think this is one area in HCM P&F that needs a major overhaul/re-thinking.

How to create mass users and map them to existing hrms users

Hi,
Im running oracle ebusiness suite 12i . I want to create mass users , and map them to existing hrms users.
The users I want to create exist in an excel spreadsheet with the columns employee id, user name. They will all be granted the same responsibility. I want to map them to existing hrms users using the employee id key.
I have read about the package FND_USER_PKG.CREATEUSER and I can loop over it by using sql loader to create a temporary table, but I m lost on how to automatically map them to hrms users as part of the script.

I had first created the user JOCHIENG and assigned it the responsibility for Self service. So the script just assigns the responsibilities by copying from the one assgined to this user.
Everything seems ok. However, when trying to log in as the new user, the login error: Login failed. Please verify your login information or contact the system administrator.
is returned. But I can reset the password using the forms under Security > Define. Even with the correct password, the login doesn't go through.
Any idea?
