How to customize a datefield component to visible only 40 days from today?

In my project, I came into a situation like, I had a datefield component for which everyday it must show only 40 days from the current day and the remaining days should be unselectable. it can be in any SDK 3/4.
Please somebody help me in logic.

when you set the value on the entity level then you don't want to show it during page load but when the field is empty ? Correct? if so then the use case is a different one. The easiest way to implement this would be to create a Rowimpl class (Java option) and then in the get method of the entity attribute check if the value is null and if it is, set it to the current date + 21 days. This way all rows will be set with the 3 weeks due date but fields are not overridden each time the row is queried

Restrict a textInput component to accept only numbers from 0 to 250

I want to restrict a textInput component to accept only
numbers from 0 to 250. I know I can use restrict to some degree but
all I can do is restrict it to 0-9 and use maxChars to 3 which
allows any number from 000-999.
I believe I could use the TextEvent.TEXT_INPUT and then write
some code that will convert that event's text (i.e. the text
entered into textInput component before it is actually added to the
textInput component's text value) such that I do not allow values
greater than 250 but I'm not sure what that code would be. Does
anyone know an easier way to do this?

use the change event to monitor the input value and if it's
greater than 250 (after typing the text property as a number),
assign the text property to be "250".

How do you add a due date 2 days from today in a workflow

So I'm creating a workflow that creates a task in a task list after I've added a new item to my clients list. So for example by adding a new client to the client list, a task will be set to 'Complete all contact details'. All I want to do is set a predetermined
due date, so instead of picking the current date or a specific date I want the workflow to work out the due date 2 days from today. How can I do this? Please note that I want to be able to change the predetermined due date in the same work flow, so for another
task I'd like it to be 4 days or a week from today.

Thanks for posting your issue,
Go to your Tasks List and go into the List Settings. Click on the Due Dat column and tick the Calculated radio button. In the formula, put [Today]+2 and click OK. Go back to the list and select New and you'll see the Due Date is 2 days in the future.
If you need to do this within the workflow, you'd use an Add Time to Date action, setting it up to add 2 days to the Current Item created by field. Then, you'd use an Update item action to update the Due Date field to the date variable the Add Time to Date
action output.

Component is visible only when frame is resize why?

In My application the components are visible only when the JFrame is resize...... why is it so?
The problem is in login screen..
that is the frame is displayed in middle the default layer for this borderlayout.... the panel here consists of gridbaglayout
whats the problem? the size are all i have checked no problem

Probably because you've added the components to the GUI after the GUI is visible.
If this is the case then you need to revalidate the parent container.

At this time there is not an option or a default to set black and white only from the front panel of the printer. Some applications may give you settings in the Application itself for color or black and white but that would be the only place to change the color of the document/photo for your print jobs.

Good question. There is no function for it, AFAIK. There is an fcode:

...and F_ApiNotify() responds to a rename action with that code, but I wouldn't know how to initiate the process with the code. FCodes work good for simple commands, but I don't know how you would submit the new name, etc. Maybe somebody else knows. If not, you might have to build it yourself.

How can I create a fIlter to delete only "junk" from the server?

One of my E-mail accounts is that of a major client. I handle their customer service online. Normally our protocol is to always leave all messages on the server, so for that one Thunderbird account, I have it set to never delete messages on the server.
But the account recently started getting a lot of junk messages. Thunderbird is doing a remarkable job at marking those and placing them in the junk folder for that account. I would like to create a filter that could remove them from the server, preferably those more than "x" days old so I could monitor the activity to be sure that no important message are removed.
I did notice that in "Filters" I can create a custom filter from a header of my choice, but can't seem to create what I want which is:
- after mail is marked as Junk by Thunderbird to delete those messages from the server if they are older than "X" days (my choice of "X").
- not delete any other messages from the server for that account

I believe that did it! Thank you. I am running those changes on a secondary E-Mail address for the same job and server and it appears to be working properly.

I believe it should be up to me to decide the level of security I want on my account - and I of course should also be held accountable of anything related to security. It's not a bank account and I only want to have quick access to free apps. Speed is critical.
Also, being a touch enabled device I'm, by definition, also restricted by speed. Therefore, forcing me to type one complex word, and two simple ones produce a serious obstacle. So no, I'm not happy at all. Thankfully I only use my iPad in order to study prebuilds of websites. If it would have been more user friendly I'd use it more.

currentdate - 90 was my original proposed solution, but when I ran it on 03/04/2008, it gave me a result of 12/04/2007, whereas it should have been 12/05/2007. Dateadd('d',-90,currentdate) also run on 03/04/2008 gave the correct result of 12/05/2007. I believe currentdate - 90 was not taking the leap year into account.

Why does old events show up in Calendar day view? How do I make it show only from today forward

I have looked at everything but I keep seeing an event from early October as the first event in my day view and not my current days event. Any ideas on how I can change this so that it only looks from today forward and not backwards

It isn't a repeating event. But is marked as an all day event? On the weekly and monthly view it shows only on the specific day it should. On the daily view it is only on the left side that lists calendar events? Is there a setting I am missing

But we have no option except to go with this customization of UWL; we are in middle of SAP upgrade (NW 7.01 SP07).
Previously we were in NW 7.0 SP10) and that time we were customized the UWL component.
But after upgrade it is not allowing us to deploy the old UWL custom component.
Therefore we have decided to customize the UWL component again with current version.
Now for NW 7.01 SP07 SAP is not providing the source code(SRC>ZIP) for UWLJWF.sac file. But we are able to get the source code for NW 7.01 SP00.
Now we have successfully able to build and deploy a local DC from the SRC.ZIP file from UWLJWF.sac of NW 7.01 SP00.
Then we have created an iview and call the UWL Substitution Application from the custom UWL DC. But when we checked in the UWL Substitution screen we get few issue:
1.     In the UWL Substitution screen there is not text available for any of the button.
2.     When we clicked on first button (should be Create Rule button, though no text available for our case) we got an error message of incompatibility, below is the error:

I created a proj and opend it through WebDynpro. Each proj having min of 3-5 Components.
I hav seen all the component views. When i execute an application the output what i m gatting is different from what i hav seen views of different components
I didnt find frm wer this view is coming.
for eg, here i opened proj EPD_ESSDev_Dessinaddrsap.com
this proj is having below components

Hi kamala,
Operating expenses are often allocated differently in financial accounting than in cost accounting. If, for example, an expense incurred in external accounting covers a whole year, you must assign a proportion of the whole to each individual cost accounting period. You distribute irregularly-occurring expenses, according to cost-origin, on the months in which they are incurred. This allows you to avoid irregularities within cost accounting. Costs allocated in this manner are termed accrued costs.
The even distribution of a one-off expense is referred to as time-based accrual calculation. With the aid of the accrual calculation functions, you can take these costs into account in the Controlling component.
Configuration: You can calculate accruals in two ways.
You can post accruals in the Financial Accounting component (FI) using recurring entries and pass the accruals along to the Controlling component using a special cost element for accrual allocation. Here, the accruals (or imputed costs) are calculated in financial accounting, not internal accounting.
You can calculate accruals in the Controlling component based on the costs posted there. To do so you can use the following approaches:
- Accrual calculations using the percentage method
- Accrual calculations using the target=actual method
If you use either of these procedures, you must ensure that subsequent postings are made in the Financial Accounting component if you want to display the accruals postings there as well.
Actions
To execute accrual calculation, you must define the necessary data and carry out the following steps, according to the accrual calculation method you are using:
For accrual cost calculation using the percentage method, you must first create an overhead structure (see: Defining the Percentage Method).
For accrual calculation using the target=actual or the plan=actual methods, you must create the corresponding accrual cost elements. You must also carry out cost element and activity type planning (see: Maintain Data for Target=Actual Accrual Calculation).
You can maintain data for an overhead structure, as well as for target=actual credits, during system configuration and for the application component itself. You must enter this data as controlling area dependent.
This controlling area dependent data includes:
For the percentage method
- Calculation bases
- Overhead percentage rates
- Credit objects
For the target=actual method
- Target=actual credits
