How to customize the login screen?

How can i customize the login screen of oracle applications 11.5.10.2 with say for example forgot pasword link or link to someother site..which web page do i need to edit? and what are the steps involved in it?

I suggest you have a look at note: 404381.1
It is not about the main page itself, but it shows you how to customize jtflogin.jsp, like how to (Customize Login Page/Change the Logo/Add a Background Logo .. etc).
For customizing the login screen (AppsLocalLogin.jsp in 11.5.10.2), you can find this file under $COMMON_TOP/html

Don't need any code. Just make your first page visible to public users. Test it by pulling it up in the browser directly eg. host.domain.com/pls/portal30.home. does it work? if so change your index.htm file under apache to go directly to that page. eg:

document.location="http://myserver.com/pls/portal30.home" </SCRIPT>
</HTML>
Remember anything not public won't show up. Also check the exact URL resolution when testing it. You will need the fully qualified name. If you get all this trying redirecting in Apache to shorten the name.

I have put a login portlet on my portal homepage and set it as the default homepage. but when i try to get on it by URL, it always bring me to sigle sign on page to login.
can anybody tell me how to set this homepage to be login screen?

Make this page the default home page for the public user. This way this page will be the first page before login.

How to customize the selection screen of Get Objec

hi all,
I'm developing a program for sap hr.
I use the 'Get objec' to creat the selection screen.
and I wanna limit the date selection.
The defaut display is the 'Period' of radio-button group.
and I want only the single field 'Date' for input insead of a period with starting and ending dates (manuelly we need click on a button to switch to 'Date' input).
How can I switch automatically to the 'date' when I initilize my program?

Hi,
This is possible through program attributes.
goto attributes, click on 'HR Report category'
now make sure that, 'Master Data (Infotype)' is changed accordingly your requirement.

I have a requirement where i have InputListofvalues, i click on serach icon and see the popup with serach panel and table.

Capturing the login screen

Hello,
I am using a MacBook, OS 10.5.7. I would like to capture the login screen for a handout that I am preparing for our users. However, the key combinations: cmdshift4 and cmdshift3 don't seem to function at the login screen phase.
Does anyone know how to capture the login screen?

How do I stop Guest Account from appearing on the login screen?

All of a sudden - like since I upgraded to iCloud - my login screen displays "Guest User". I have Guest disabled in Accounts. The only account I have active is mine. I don't want Guest to appear on the login screen. How do i stop it from doing so?

Even when the Guest Account / Access is disabled, the login option / and lock screen, still have a guest login.
This is because in Preferences/ Security & Privacy/General the bottom item is turned on.

I'm very new to the Mac world so pardon this noob question. But how can I control what user accounts are visible on the login screen on OS X? I've already went into the System Preference, User Accounts and set the Guest account to disabled. However this account is still on the logon screen when I reboot the Mac! Please try the following steps to display the cover sheet and replace it with custom one:
How to change a portfolio’s initial view setting to show the cover sheet (and hide the contents):
Open a PDF portfolio and run the following JS in the console:
this.collection.initialView = 'Hidden';
Save the portfolio, close and re-open.
The cover sheet will now be displayed when opening the portfolio.

Also, most likely if you want the coversheet displayed when opening the portfolio, and do not want the default cover sheet:
Here are the steps to replace the default cover sheet:
Open the Portfolio.
Perform a View > Portfolio > cover sheet to open the cover sheet.

Right click on the cover sheet page in the pages panel, select “Replace Pages”.

Open Accounts preferences. Create a new user account with the name and username of your choosing as well as your own password. Be sure to give the new account Admin status. Log out of the old account and log into your new account. Now, delete the old account.

How do you change the login screen background?

I have been looking everywhere in the setting on how to change the background on the login screen and i can't find it, does anyone know how to do it without having to download an app?

Make sure you check your operating system first, because there are a few ways to do this.
This is for Mac OS X 10.7.5
First find out what your screen size is by going into System Preferences and clicking on display. Mine is at 1920x12000, but you might want to go with a picture thats a little bit bigger.
Find your picture, I edited mine in photoshop, but I think you can edited in Preview or some other photo converter. Make sure the picture is the same size as the display, convert it to a PNG by exporting it or saving it to a PNG format on to your desktop.
Go to your Macintosh Hardrive
Go to: System / Library / PrivateFrameworks / LoginUIKit.framework / Versions/A/Frameworks / Log inUICore.framework / Versions / A / Resources / appleLinen.png / [email protected]
Make sure your photo file has the same name as appleLinen.png. Replace appleLinen.png with the new picture by droping it in the resources folder.
Make a copy of that same picture and paste it on to your desktop. Rename it to [email protected]. Then replace [email protected] with that picture file.
This should allow you to place a new background to your login screen, but I myself am still working out the kinks. You will notice your sleep, restart, and shutdown buttons will disappear.
Now if you have a much older operating system on your computer there is an easier way to do this.

Open System Preferences>Users & Groups, unlock the lock, highlight the one you don't want click on the little minus icon.
