How to debug applications live on Nokia N95 Series

Hi,
I have installed S60 SDK 3rd Edition for Java ME and I am using NetBeans 6.0.1 as the development environment.
Does anyone know how I can integrate these two to debug my application from PC on the N95 handset?
I have studied [this link|http://www.forum.nokia.com/main/resources/technologies/java/netbeans.html] and it sounds possible but I do not know how to do it.
Please somebody help me.

2, Install [file://///csamdata1/softwares/J2ME/SDK_EMULATORS/Nokia/s60/]

This simulator is acts same like

3, Install[file://///csamdata1/softwares/J2ME/SDK_EMULATORS/Nokia/s40]

4, Both the simulators needs a proxy
setting to access internet. Setting steps are following
a. Start the Emulator,
b. go to tools {font:Wingdings}à{font} preferences {font:Wingdings}à{font}
network.
c. Enable use HTTP proxy, enter proxy
server name =and proxy server port
d. Click
ok. Restart Emulator.
Now you can access internet through
emulator.
5, Advantage of this simulator are
following
a. We can download the application form the
staging server or from live through emulator browser.
b. We
can test the application on the specific platform of nokia.
c. Easy
to configurable with eclipse.
6, Eclipse
configuration:
a. Window {font:Wingdings}à{font} Configuration {font:Wingdings}à{font}
J2ME{font:Wingdings}à{font}
Platform components. Right Click on wireless toolkit, Click Add Wireless
Toolkit.
b. Browse the path C:\S60\devices\S60_3rd_FP2_SDK,
Click Finish.

Windows Live on Nokia N95

Does anyone know how to get hold of the windows live application for nokia 95. I know it exists because in the UK it is packaged with mobiles from 'Three'. However, I am not a Three customer.

I'm looking for this too. I had downloaded it and installed it from the downloads utility on the phone. It is still here on the support page http://www.nokia.co.uk/get-support-and-software/download-software/windows-live/how-to-download but when the catalog is updated there is no msn live. I lost mine when my phone was repaired.
Windows live now seem to give all the functionality through a web interface ( mobile.live.com ) but for some reason I cant log in. When ever i click in the password box i can type nothing in it. Also my existing live account is a live.co.uk address which isn't in the drop down list!
any suggestions

I am having one nokia E5. I have updated it to the latest firmware 042.007. I can install and uninstall new applications and everything is coming in application log. But i cannot delete the details in application log. Pls help.

thank you!!! I hate Nokia's software. When you open an image from the file manager or a MMS, it opens in the image editor, which you can zoom with the * and # keys. When you open from the gallery, this shortcut completely changed. Then, if you open the image in the editor, the zoom keys are 0 and 5 like on the gallery in the e71.
Not only are these shortcuts inconsistant, but they fail to document them 90% of the time. I would have never thought to use the volume keys.
I dislike the gallery on this phone. It's dumb that ''images'' also shows videos. It's dumb that images open don't open up in the same image editor they do when you open from gallery/sms. Its also dumb that videos don't open in real player through the gallery. I much preferred the more simple gallery on the e71.

Where can i get a list of error codes and their error messages in the documentatiion ??
I notice that getErrorCode() message returns an error code and in the WebCommand sample application in the IfsDevkit it is being used
for error handling by comparing it with strings in AdkResources,something like :
AdkResources.ADK_ALREADY_EXIST_ERROR .

How to uninstall applications from my nokia n97

i installed adictionary to my mobile and the mobile said that it not compatible with phone continue anyway and i said yes and the application has been istalled but it does not work and i want to unistall it when i goto application manager and select the application and clicked uninstall it run alittle time and said that unable to delete file
please help me to unistall this application

perhaps try switching off the phone first - the application (even though is incompatible) may be running and that's why you can't uninstall.
once you switch phone back on, go to the app manager and try uninstalling.
if that fails, you could always go to the file manager and delete the file that way...

If what you mean is setting the access Points.. are you trying manual settings ? Best way is to request the Operator to send the settings. These will be sent thru' SMS. Open and select SAVE..and you are done..

Nokia N95 smartphone....how smart is it?

hello , I am intending to buy a Nokia N95, the only concern that I have is that how 'Smart' is this smart phone?
what I mean is that I am currently using I-MATE smartphone2 [have experience in Blackberrry curve 8300 and O2 Xda Trion ] their interface is quite easy but more importantly efficient interface and my 'traditional' observation with NOKIA is ...well sluggish interface.I have seen nokia N73, its still NOT that 'efficient and handy' as those.Where does N95 stand? [I dont have hi-speed connection , else I would have searched for a u-tube video etc.]

I use a mobile phone Nokia N95 8GB. I listen to a lot of podcasts and have tried to use Nokia's built in podcaster application. Unfortunately, it is not very good and I want you to contact someone responsible at Nokia in order to
A) ask if they plan any updates to this application, and if so what and when,
B) request the following features:
* Nokia Podcaster should automatically detect when on a home WLAN network and then download new podcast episodes and delete old ones automatically. Similar to iTunes, the user should be able to specify for each podcast how many episodes are kept and older ones should be deleted.
Any one who can help or give me a contact info for Nokia's engeneers.

As i explained LIMU are subobjects like views as they dont have the seperate identity in repository so they have to be linked thru there parent component.
So when you transport whole component u can see there would be some entries in your transport list as LIMU types ( for views , windows).
OTR are text elements which u create for the elements of your view so u dont require to hardcode the text to be displayed as they need to be displayed in different languages so what you do is you create say button and for text to be displayed you create on OTR element under some package. now you give this package to your translation team to do all needed translations.
Yes DDIC types are from dictionary only but when you transport them so all newly created DDIC should also be transported.

How to debug a mobile client application on the laptop, where we dont have any .NET 2003 application installed. (not an MDW)
If we get any error on the application, which could be a UI error on laptop, and if everything is working fine on the MDW, is there any way to debug the application on Mobile client?
Also, please provide me links or tips on how to debug the mobile application, on MDW as well.

Hi,
to be able to debug on a local machine you would need at least to install the UI/BOL class files and the project files and make some local settings.
But anyway on all clients there should be the same MSA installation like it is on the MDW so in case of an issue it is normally caused by local (inconsistent) data.
I would suggest to access the laptop IDES database by changing your MDW odbc settings and perform the debug session on the MDW.
Debugging in VB .net is similar to VB6 but you have to notice that changing of the code is NOT possible when being in debug mode.
