How to define JDNI resource to look up from ldap root

Hi ,
Can someone please help? I am stuck....
In my application, I need to perform some modification which requires fully distinguished name. At the moment the jndi resource configurated using jndi-lookup-name="dc=actd,dc=admin,dc=misk,dc=com,dc=au" so the modification won't work because everything is started from "dc=actd,dc=admin,dc=misk,dc=com,dc=au".
Is there a way, I can tell LdapContext to start from root, not from "dc=actd,dc=admin,dc=misk,dc=com,dc=au"? I don't think so but maybe I am wrong.
On the other hand, how can I configurate the jndi resource so it lookup from root ?
In my case, I am using SunOne application server to configurate external resource for the ldap. jndi-lookup-name is a compulsory field. I have tried to put "/" into it but doesn't work.
<external-jndi-resource enabled="true" factory-class="com.sun.jndi.ldap.LdapCtxFactory" jndi-lookup-name="dc=actd,dc=admin,dc=misk,dc=com,dc=au" jndi-name="active_directory_misk" res-type="javax.naming*ldap.LdapContext">
<description>connect to AD ldap port</description>
<property name="java.naming.provider.url" value="ldap://129.94.154.22:389"/>
<property name="java.naming.security.authentication" value="simple"/>
<property name="java.naming.security.principal" value="Username"/>
<property name="java.naming.security.credentials" value="password"/>
</external-jndi-resource>
Without using JNDI resource as following, it works. But I need to use the external jndi resource for the application. How do I configure the JNDI resource to do the same thing?
Hashtable env = new Hashtable();
env.put(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY, "com.sun.jndi.ldap.LdapCtxFactory");
env.put(Context.PROVIDER_URL, "ldap://129.94.154.22:389/");
env.put(Context.SECURITY_CREDENTIALS, "password");
env.put(Context.SECURITY_PRINCIPAL, "username");
LdapContext ldapCtx = new InitialLdapContext(env, null);
Any ideas? Thank you very much in advance
Tara

Hi,
If you remove the $ and braces (as shown below) it will work.

  • How to access static resources in ear without specifing context-root

    Hello, i have a problem with my ear.
    The war's structure is like this:
    ---/jsp
    ---/css
    ---/images/ViewRisposte.gif
    ---/xsl/Request.xsl
    ---/Common/data.xsl
    /error.xsl
    /input.xsl
    xsl files reference css and images files that are contained in css and images dir.
    I can't use the "../" to specify css and images path into xsl and jsp due to security policy setting on the Http server (and I can't change this policy).
    In the ear's application.xml is specified the context root of the module web with the name SABEARWeb
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>
    <application>
    <display-name>SABEARWeb module</display-name>
    <module>
    <web>
              <web-uri>SABEARWeb.war</web-uri>
              <context-root>SABEARWeb</context-root>
         </web>
    </module>
    </application>
    For example with this following code (Request.xsl), how can i replace the "../" notation to access xsl and image resouces without write the context root? How i can insert the images and css references into xsl and jsp files?
    <xsl:import href="../Common/data.xsl" />

    Thanks a lot

    >>As I understand I should change View1 by handling command of button “Edit”, and then View 2 should be displayed, then I change data and then View1 should be updated. How to do it?
    For information about how to handle a command, please refer to my blog post:
    http://blog.magnusmontin.net/2013/06/30/handling-events-in-an-mvvm-wpf-application/
    You could bind the Command property of the edit button to an ICommand property of VMMain. When this command is executed you could then send a message using an event aggregator or some kind of messenger. Please refer to my blog post for more information about
    how to for example use Prism's event aggregator class to pass events between view model classes:
    http://blog.magnusmontin.net/2014/02/28/using-the-event-aggregator-pattern-to-communicate-between-view-models/
    Andy has written an example of how to use MvvmLight's Messenger class:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/26070.communicating-between-classes.aspx
    The concepts are the same but you will have to download and reference either Prism:
    https://www.nuget.org/packages/Prism/
    ...or MvvmLight: https://www.nuget.org/packages/MvvmLight/
    You then subcribe to this event or message in the main view model and change the value of the CurrentPageViewModel property whenever you recieve an event. Note that the class must implement the INotifyPropertyChanged interface and raise its PropertyChanged
    interface for this to work:
    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.componentmodel.inotifypropertychanged%28v=vs.110%29.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396
    This is how you are supposed to communicate between different view model classes.
    Hope that helps.

  • How to delete/deploy resources in ES4 workbench?

    In the previous version of the workbench, I could deploy resources (PDF, flash files) into the workbench by drag-and-droping the file from the Windows Explorer into the workbench resource's tab. I could also delete the resource files by right clicking on the item and selecting 'delete' in the resource tab of the workbench.
    In the ES4 workbench, I could no longer do the above. Drag-and-drop does nothing and the right click context menu only shows Relationships, Access Control, History. How to delete/deploy resources in ES4 workbench?

    Hi,
    Did you find how to deploy the xdp files to resources in ES4 workbench? I am looking for deploy the xdp files to ES4 server please help me if you find the solution. Thank you.

  • How to map a resource-ref in Jdev11 deployment plan editor

    Hi all,
    I have a ADF/BC web application where the BC4J application module does connect to a JNDI data source.
    The ViewController project does declare the Datasource as needed resource in its web.xml:
    <resource-ref>
    <res-ref-name>jdbc/wlogDS</res-ref-name>
    <res-type>javax.sql.DataSource</res-type>
    <res-auth>Container</res-auth>
    </resource-ref>
    Now i need to map that resouurce-ref to an actual data source that exist in the application container at deploy time.
    As already in JDev 10.1.3 the deployment-plan editor provided during deployment from JDeveloper does not provide any means to enter the deployment mapping for that resourc-ref (When clicking on the node (which is named resouce-ref - that becomes very confusing in case you have defined three resource-refs in your web.xml) the right pane shows a gray pane without any edit controls) So I cannot enter the resource-ref-mapping unsing the Jdev UI.
    My workaround in 10.1.3 was to save the deployment plan to disk and manually edit it, adding
    <resource-ref-mapping name="jdbc/wlogDS" location="jdbc/wlogTestEnvDS">
    </resource-ref-mapping>
    to the orion-web-app document for that webapp
    But in Jdev 11 the deployment plan file format changed (including some binary inline checksums???)and when doing exactly the same thing, the loading of the manually edited file into Jdev Deployment plan editor fails with

    So no chance here to add a resource-ref-mapping. The alternative way of specifying a resource-ref-mapping using the web-based deployment proces of the Enterprise manager is impossible because the 11g preview OC4j does not include an enterprise manger web-application.
    So how do I deploy the application correctly other that manually modifying the deployed orion-web-app.xml file in j2ee/home/application-deployments/earName/warName/orion-web-app.xml after deploying the app without a resource-ref-mapping? Because doing that step manually each time is quite annoying.
    Greetings,
    Thomas

    Seems i'm slowly answering my own questions :-) I finally got my RMI service, even using several methods. But ...
    It doesnt help me as the lookups are not done on the context classloader it seems. That means i need to add all my service jars to the global class path causing massive sealing issues with the war contained jars. Pretty useless. All the needed stubs etc are in the war.
    But as it seems that the web app needs to contain deployment site info (sun-web.xml) anyway, i could just as easy read my own web xml from the context and resolve the services myself. But i do wonder how this is supposed to work with EJB and CORBA stuff. The samples actually also needed to add stuff to the global class path.
    I'm probably not the easiest customer as i write this kind of middle ware for a living but i really like sjsws. It makes my own one partly obsolete as it is almost as fast and has all the fancy deployment stuff (in my case i use an in-house mobile agent frame work and agents that travel the various networks ) and infinitely easier to learn to work with and understand In case anyone is wondering i wrote Uhura because 1. i needed speed so it is a servlet based webserver and not a web server with a servlet module. 2. could not wait on ibm to fix bugs in webspere and we only used the servlet bit. 2. i needed full J2EE security and 3. i needed it to run on many OS'es
    That is why i still need the same war files to be able to be deployed in both systems as i still need my systems going on IBM iservers etc.
    Again i would welcome some feed back on such and related issues
    Cheers,
    Peter

  • How to define tablespaces in Oracle 10g and how put tables on tablespaces

    Hello,
    I'm having trouble to define the structure of tablespaces and how to distribute the tables/indexes/lobs on these tablespaces.
    Do you know some rules on how to define this?
    What I have until now:
    1) Put table indexes in separate tablespace
    2) Put lobs in separate tablespace and use storage clause when defining the lob column. Not sure how many tablespaces to use, I have tables with millions of lobs and tables with just one lob (with row containing the lob).
    3) Please fill more rules here ...
    Thank you, Alex.

    Long story: I received database and schema creation scripts defined in Oracle 9i. I want to redesign the tablespaces number/storage and also to change the distribution of tables into tablespaces.
    As an example I will show how tablespaces are created now. There is one tablespace for indexes BLUE_AUTO_INDX and one for each EXTENT MANAGEMENT of:
    - 64K for BLOB , name BLUE_K064_BLOB
    - 64K for tables , name K064_NTAB
    - 128K for tables, name BLUE_K128_NTAB
    - 512K for CLOB , name BLUE_K512_CLOB
    - 4M for BLOB , name BLUE_M004_BLOB
    - 64M for CLOB , name BLUE_M064_CLOB
    - 8M for tables , name BLUE_M008_NTAB
    - 1M for tables , name BLUE_M001_NTAB
    - 256M for tables, name BLUE_M256_NTAB
    Definition of each tablespace is like:
    CREATE TABLESPACE BLUE_AUTO_INDX DATAFILE 'BLUE_AUTO_INDX01.DBF' SIZE 200M REUSE AUTOEXTEND ON NEXT 100M MAXSIZE UNLIMITED LOGGING ONLINE PERMANENT EXTENT MANAGEMENT LOCAL UNIFORM SIZE 64M SEGMENT SPACE MANAGEMENT AUTO;

    Does this structure of tablespaces ok? I mean if the logic of one tablespace for different EXTENT SIZEs looks ok?

  • How to define logic to BO for display of more meaningful messages in Webi?

    Hi All.
    Greetings for the Festive Season.
    We would like to know as to how to define the logic to our BO application while displaying messages to end users of Web Intelligence.
    We have defined restrictions for various users and restrictions are appliced correctly when the user logs in.
    We have some MIS REPORTS in Web Inetlligence with different charts and we have also given links to various other web intelligence reports at the bottom for users to click and view or do analysis.
    And if any user if he/ or she is not authorised to view any / or part of the report - it does not show up.
    Which works well.
    But if some user is not part of any group and is not authorised to view data in a particular report, then we see a standard message coming in like :
    "No Data to retrieve in Query1"   or    "No Data to retrieve in ABC".
    Which one could say is correct.  Because for that particular user, the query has NO data.
    But. We feel there has to be a logic to be defined differently with the applicaton.
    How do we differentiate - as to whether the query does not really have data at the back end and HENCE it is saying No data to retrieve in the Query or report
    OR whether the user who is trying to view report is NOT authorised to view
    AND HENCE the message is displayed as "No Data to Retrieve"
    We looked at the source file and it is pointing to :../AnalyticalReporting/viewers/cdz_adv/ViewDocument.jsp?
    But we found it a bit difficult to understand the logic there.
    Could anyone advise as to how we could define this logic for Web Intelligence - so that messages we see on screen for the end user could be more meaningful ? How do we really make the system understand or look for 2 options as to whether the message to be displayed is because there is REALLY NO DATA AT THE DATABASE LEVEL, OR whether the USER is not authorised to view this data.
    Can this be made possible by any means or thro SDK ?
    Many thanks
    Regards
    Indu

    Here is my current report detail view.
    [http://s49.photobucket.com/albums/f270/helenen/add/?action=view&current=2010-06-2511-44-20.png]
    (click on link and view at 100%)
    The 3 rd KF column is the calculated ratio which is =>  2nd Column (Work Hrs) A% 1st column (PlanHrs)
    Right now, I cann't get % at detail line (they're now shown as X, because PlanHrs is not null at detail line.
    I'd like those X should be calculated as =>  WorkHrs (at that line) A% PlanHrs (of that specific employee) .
    For example: 16 A% 1827 = 0.875%
    It seems soo eassy but I coulnd't do it.

  • Very Urgent: how to define field symbols in class using se24 Points assured

    hi all
    I am new to abap oo programming. I am using se24 to build a class
    where some methods have code which involves working with field sybmols but i am not able to figure out way for how to define field symbols in the attributes section.
    I tried defining like : fld_sym type ref to  dbtab-fld
    but in the method implementation if i try to use it like assign fld to <fld_sym> there it says fld_sym is not defined as a field symbol.
    So can anyone please guide me how to define field symbols in se24.
    Also what should be the general steps while creating a class using se24.
    Points assured
    thanks

    Hi
    Global classes are like Global fun modules in which the Methods and code is already written and is mainly used for Reusability purpose.
    Goto SE24 tcode and see the std global classes like

    // get the SDKCodeSnippetRunner object
    var snippetRunner = app.sdkCodeSnippetRunnerObject;

    really, I dont understand where & how to define the "sdkCodeSnippetRunnerObject" & "basicpersistinterfacePreferences" in the source code of plug-ins written in C/C++

  • How to define initialization parameters in iWS6.0sp2

    I need to define an initialization parameter in iWS6.0sp2, this parameter will be used by all my servlets in an web application.
    parameter name: paraName
    parameter value should be a string: "c:/xxx/xxx/xx"
    I want to get this parameter in my servlet using :
    getInitParameter("paraName")
    it looks like I need to define it in the web-apps.xml, but not sure.
    Can somebody tell me where and how to define it. Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    You can define initargs in servlets.properties file and refer that from web-apps.xml.
    check this link for more details

  • How to define a persistant queue in glassfish v2.x

    Hi Everyone,
    I just wanted to ask how to define a persistent queue in glassfish v2.x.
    Basically I want that, if there are un-consumed messages in the queue and the goes goes down, the messages will still be there once the queue comes up.
    I haven't seen where I can configure these features, or whether it's a default setting.
    If you can provide some screen shots for the configuring that'd be great.
    If glassfish can't do it what other similar program can I use?
    Thanks

    Hi Peter,
    You can find all information you need on Oracle Application Server JMS in the documentation:
    http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/B25221_04/web.1013/b14427/jms.htm
    Including the ports if I'm correct. There's some nice links to HOW-TO documents as well.
    I'm not that well familiar with JMS myself, but if I'm not mistaken it should not matter where you define your queues or topics, since they should be looked up through JNDI anyway. But please someone correct me if I'm wrong.

  • How to define new classpath of libraries while making jar files with ant

    I am useing eclipse and ant and trying to make a jar file. I have used some external jar files. I have managed to add external jar files to my jar. But Still I have a problem. In my project all libraries in lib folder. But when I put them into jar file. They are in the root folder.Classpath has changed and It couldn't find the class path.
    Is there any body knows how to define a new class path for external libraries with ANT. or How can I put my libraries into a lib folder in jar ?? I think both of them would solve my problem.
    thanks in advance.
    My code is like that, I think it requires a little modification
    <target name="jar">
            <mkdir dir="build/jar"/>
            <jar destfile="build/jar/Deneme.jar" basedir="build/classes" >

                 <fileset  dir="${lib.dir}" includes="**/*.jar"/>

    I can see why your other "question" was likely deleted. You need to drop the editorial comments and just ask a question. I believe what you want to know is how to configure something using php on your Apache server so that it can be read. If that's your question, here's a couple of places that discuss the topic:
    http://www.webmasterworld.com/linux/3345459.htm
    http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=427742

    For a general introduction to 'nix permissions, take a look at this:

    And here's a whole book on the subject of Leopard permissions:

  • How to define the memory leak in stability test

    Hi
    Usually, we run our system with 70% CPU load for 72 hours for stability test (on solaris 10), because some plugin of our system is using mtmalloc, and we use prstat to monitor the memory of each plugin. But because of the complex memory usage of our application, we don't know when the application will use the Max memory, and because of the "mtmalloc", the memory showed by "prstat" will not released but continually increased.
    So fro the test point of view, there is the risk of memory leak, but actually, there may be no memory leak, so my question is how to define the memory leak in such condition.

    Thank you for the input and all the info.
    isn't java heap the same as memory allocated to the java process in my weblogic
    starup script ?The heap is sized by the -Xmx and -Xms parameters you pass on the java
    command-line. The permanent generation is separate.
    >
    let me also download jprobe and try to run it and see what it gives me.
    I'd start by running with -verbose:gc. I'd want to know whether you're
    running out of heap or permgen space.

    Unfortunately memory leaks are not fun to track down even with tools.
    I'd first suggest determining whether you're running out of space in
    the
    permanent area (where classes are loaded), or you've exhausted the java
    help space.
    I'd start by adding -verbose:gc. Look at the gc messages right before
    you hit the OutOfMemoryError. If there's plenty of space left, I'd
    suspect you're running out of perm space. Search these newsgroups and
    the web for MaxPermSize, and you should see plenty of info.
    If you're running out of java heap, tools like jprobe and OptimizeIt
    are
    helpful. If you can tell me a little more about your application and
    how you're testing it, I can offer some more tips.

  • How to define JMX policy for the operation ALSBConfigurationMBean.getRefs

    Hello,
    I'm trying to configure the JMX policies of my Weblogic Server.
    I have followed the recommandations from the http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E13222_01/wls/docs100/ConsoleHelp/taskhelp/security/DefinePoliciesforMBeans.html link.
    I try to run the following code on a client side :
    ALSBConfigurationMBean lConfigMBean = (ALSBConfigurationMBean) lDomainMBean.findService(ALSBConfigurationMBean.NAME, ALSBConfigurationMBean.TYPE, null);
    lConfigMBean.getRefs-BusinessServiceQuery);

    OEG provides several filters for encryption (XML, S/MIME and PGP). It's also possible to accept client certificates via 2-way SSL or route to a destination over 2-way SSL. For further information check out the OEG docs.

  • How to define interface of IDOC?

    IDoc outbound:
    In step 1, a new file is generated with the transferred IDocs by the IDoc Interface. In the second step,
    the program ¡°rfcexec¡± (synchronous RFC) with the path to an executable program is called (here:
    ¡°out.script¡±) and also the path to the IDoc file. ¡°out.script¡± thus contains the path and name of the
    file as an input value. In step 3, it therefore calls the external system, which reads the file in step 4.
    After successful processing of the IDoc file, the external system must delete the IDoc file. The call
    command in ¡°out.script¡± depends on the external system.
    I quated this from relative document,I want to know how to define 'rfcexec' and 'out.script' looking forward to ur reply,
