How to delete photos on the ipad which was put on from a lap top. I have tried doing what some said ie: getting into slideshow - but didn't get any arrow to press.  Can someone help please?

Can anyone help me to delete photos that were put on my ipad from a lap top computer. I have tried following instructions from another member, but there was no arrow to press by the slideshow - so I was unable to go any further. Appreciate any help, as there are lots of photos.

I am pretty new to Ipad and computers - it's easy to delete photos taken on the Ipad camera - but what do I do on the computer to delete the laptop photos (which a family member put on) I can work my way around a computer OK.

  • How do I delete photos on my ipad which were accidentally synced from my computer?

I am new to Apple.  I Have an Ipad 2 updated to operating system 6.  When I first connected my ipad to my Microsoft computer, photos on my computer where inadvertantly synced to my ipad.  I would like to take these photos off my ipad.  I have synced the ipad to computer, clicked on photos, clicked the file I want deleted on the ipad but I cannot find anywhere where it says delete.  I do not want to delete the photos on the computer, only the ipad?  Thanks for your help.

    1. Rename the folder that contain your photos on the computer
    2. Create an empty folder using the original name of folder
    3. Sync empty folder with iPad to delete photos
    4. Delete the empty folder on computer
    5. Rename the original folder

    Hello there, Gemss.
The following Knowledge Base article offers up some great recommendations for the issue you're describing:
iTunes repeatedly prompts to authorize computer to play iTunes Store purchases
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1389
Although all of the scenarios may be applicable, many folks find that the following section helps resolve their issue most often:
Authorize using the correct account name
The items you're trying to play might have been purchased using a different iTunes Store account. To determine which account was used to purchase an item, follow these steps:
Select a purchased song in your library and choose File > Get Info.
Click the Summary tab. Note the Account Name that appears in the list. This is the account name (Apple ID) you'll need to use when authorizing your computer to play this purchase.
Note: The account name that appears is the one you used when purchasing the item and does not change if the account name (Apple ID) changes.
If you've authorized the Apple ID that is shown in the Summary tab, you can check the purchase history for that Apple ID from Store > View My Account. If your purchase history does not reflect the purchase of the items in your iTunes library, consider any other Apple ID you may have created, and authorize the computer for your additional Apple ID.
If you forgot the password to one of your accounts, you can recover it using Apple's password-recovery website.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Pedro.

Ask your wireless provider.  None of what you describe has to do with the phone itself.

  • Can someone tell me how to delete photos off my iPad that came from my iPhone?

I can't delete photos on my iPad that came through iCloud from my iPhone. Can someone please help?

    From http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4486 :
How do I delete photos from my Photo Stream in iCloud?
Individual photos cannot be deleted from your Photo Stream. You can, however, delete all the photos in your Photo Stream by clicking the Reset Photo Stream button in your account at icloud.com. The Reset Photo Stream button will instantly delete all Photo Stream photos stored in iCloud, but it will not remove any Photo Stream photos that have already been pushed to your devices.
How do I delete photos from my Photo Stream on my devices?
After deleting the photos from your Photo Stream in iCloud, you can remove the Photo Stream photos from your devices as follows:
On your iOS devices, go to Settings > iCloud > Photo Stream and turn Photo Stream off. This will delete all the photos from your Photo Stream album. If there are any photos you want to keep on your device, make sure to add them to an album or save them to your Camera Roll first.

  • New printer Apple AirPrint - I'm lost, can someone help please, thanks!

Hi, I've just bought an Laser Printer HP1606pn, specifically so that I can print from an ipad, iphone and Mac.  I believe that eprint is a new function for this printer but I can't work out what to do as there don't seem to be any specific instructions.
At the moment, I have it set up to work on Windows 7 with a USB cable; however, I haven't a clue what to do to get the Apple products working with it.  Can someone help please?
    Thanks very much!

    Hi there Liz2,
Here are the steps you'll need.
    1. Airprint works on wireless or networked printers. Your printer is network capable - meaning, you can plug in a cat-5 ethernet cable from the printer to your home router, and then Apple devices will be to wirelessly connect to it.
    2. Once you have it connect to the router, you'll need to update the firmware inside the printer, to enable it's eprint and airprint features.
    3. When that is finished, here is the guide for how to print via Airprint: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=ca&dlc=en&docname=c02623193&lc=en&product=4110410&tmp...

Hi, can someone help please - my iPhone hasn't been backed up since early August, now I can't seem to get it to back up to iCloud. I have 9GB of space, I have left it plugged in etc for 11hrs, but keep getting the same message " iPhone backup could not be completed" -what dies that mean.?

    Hi,
I was facing issues with both backup and FB integration after the iOs 6 upgrade.  Before then I did not have any issues with the iCloud backup service, but after a few days, I noticed that it was continually stuck at the Estimating time for the backup and it never progressed.
As any good techie would, I tackled the most pressing issue first . . . FB integration of course.
I had read in a separate post about this solution so tried it . . .
I deleted the original FB app and hard booted the phone.  I then went into settings and entered the data for FB integration.  Seconds later, I received a text message to my phone - already listed and verified in FB with a 6 digit code to re-enter instead of my password.  Seconds later I was verified and then prompted to download the FB app.  All backup and integrated.
Then I went into the iCloud backup, turned it off . . . and deleted the last backup.  I then re-enabled backup . . . and although I thought I was going to face the same issue, after a few minutes, it moved on from Estimating time . . . to actually backing up.  It is now a small way through the backup and seems to estimate that it will take another two hours to complete.
A good nights work.  Backup and integration all sewed up.  Good luck.
    Cheers
    Ian

How to delete photos on the i-pad?

Only photos taken with the iPad, copied onto it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites etc can be deleted directly on the iPad - either via the trashcan icon in the top right corner if viewing the photo in full screen, or via the icon of the box with the arrow coming out of it in thumbnail view. Photos that were synced from your computer are deleted by removing them from where they were synced from and then re-syncin.

I have just selected all my desktop icons and accidentally deleted them.  This included my external hard drive with 22,000 photos in iPhoto.  I cannot open iPhoto now.  Can someone help please?

What is the file system of that external HD? is it MacOS Extended (Journaled)?
Which iPhoto version do you have?
If you directly select the iPhoto Library in the Finder and use "File > Get Info", does the library still show as "Kind: iPhoto Library" and is the file size correct for 22000 Photos?
If the library does no longer have the correct size, restore it from your backup.
But if the library has the correct size, try to open it directly by clicking it. This should work, if your iPhoto version is iPhoto '11.
