How to deploy reports to anothe managed Server (Weblogic)
Hi everyone
I would like to know how could i deploy reports to another managed server in weblogic.
When i first installed forms and reports it asked me to where i want to deploy and everything works fine.
But i have created another managed server afterwards and i would like this server to be configured with reports, but it won´t work.
I don´t know if i have to run the installer again selecting this new server or is there another better way to do this.
Thanks for your help
Greetings
Mateo.
I think you need to extend the domain instead of creating the managed instance manually through Admin console. By default when you create a domain using OSB domain template, it deploys all of the applications needed automatically to all the instances. If you are trying to do it manually, then you need to follow the documentation to see which applications need to be deployed to use OSB services.
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/doc.1111/e15017/configure_osb.htm#BGBFGBFF
To deploy a project, Login to SB console http://<admin>:<port>/sbconsole > System Administration > Export/Import Resources.

Pls. help --How to deploy Reports 6i on the Server
Hi
I am evaluating a client server reports proposal using Oracle Reports as part of Developer Suite 6i
Pls. let me know how I can deploy this - is this correct
Client - client runtime/browser
Server - Oracle 9Ias
I have told that reports server / forms server are an integral part of Oracle9iAS and I cannot buy them separately.. Is that true.. Is it necessary to go for Oracle 9IAS since I dont need a internet solution at this stage?
Thanks
PeteThis is true, Forms and Reports servers are components of the iAS package, and this is what you license.

Deployment problem to the managed server in 11.1.1.1..
Our deployment problem still continue. We can deploy at last one application to the admin server.
We can see ADF domain ans jsf libs in deployment list
But for managed server following error occurs.
Even we tried small new application.
But error is the same.
An error occurred during activation of changes, please see the log for details.

How to disable autostart (application) when managed server restart ?
Hi Ppl,
How to disable autostart (application) when managed server restart ?
I want some of the applications to remain not started. In WebSPhere, we have an option disable auto start for applications.
I don't find in weblogic.
ThanksHi,
I agree with Faisal. When you shutdown your WL server while the application is running, the thing is when you start your server again, it would automatically start the application with it. Now if the application was down when you shutdown the server, it _the application_ won't start with the server.
So it depends on the application last state, when you start your server.

How to deploy reports from one environment to another in CoD
Hi Experts,
I'm actually in training with an Oracle partner in order to learn how to create reports in CoD.
It seems quite easy.
But the trainer here told us to develop directly the new reports on the Prod environment.
I've asked why, cause we also have Dev and Test environment.
And he answerer me that there's no way to deploy reports from one environment to another, the only way is to redevelop it on each environment.
As for me it seems impossible not to be able to deploy reports from dev to test and then test to prod, I'm directly asking experts.
So could you please confirm this or not, and maybe provide me an example of what you're doing on your side to copy from one environment to another.
Thank you in advance.
BriceH,
reports cannot be migrated at this time, indeed. -
How to deploy reports on production server in SSRS?
Hi,
Now since I have almost completed developing a SSRS report in my local machine ,I would like it to be deployed to a UAT environment.
If I specify the Target server addr as follows :
http://[server name]/ReportServer and Deploy the report ,will it work ??
What all initial setup would be required to establish a report server in Development ??
after deployed, will get this error
The permissions granted to user 'LNM-PC\swtest' are insufficient for performing this operation.
any one help me?Hi,
You may go through below links:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms159868(v=sql.90).aspx
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms156006(v=sql.90).aspx
Also, to deploy reports through Report Manager you should have the Admin access and then you just have to upload reports.
Hope this helps.

How to deploying reports to Oracle9iAS
Dear all:
after I installed infrastructure server and application serv(BI), and I make a report file with Develop Suit 9.0.2, and build ear file by DS.Then I used Oracle Enterprise Manager(OEM) deploying the era file.
But when I run report as follow link :
http://<domain>:<port>/<context path>/reportname.jsp?userid=aaa/bbb@db
there are something error.The error is http 500 error.
And then I copy the reportname.jsp to $ORA_HOME\j2ee\OC4J_DEMO\applications\reportDemo\web\
and run the link follow:
http://<domain>:<port>/repdemo/reportname.jsp?userid=aaa/bbb@db
it works !!!
why? Does any body can tell me how to solve this problem?
please help me! Thanks.
Best regards.Hi ,
One way to solve your problem would be to see what settings you might have missed in your .ear file contents by comparing it to the contents in "reports" sample demo provided. You can use winzip or jar utility to unpack the .ear contents and compare it to the contents of "reports" demo. The reports.ear file also should be $ORA_HOME\j2ee\OC4J_DEMO\applications directory. Some points
1) For reports jsps to run, we need to include the reports_tld.jar in WEB-INF\lib directory
2) After deployment in j2ee\home\config\server.xml there should be an entry like
<application name="reports" path="../../../reports/j2ee/reports.ear" />
corresponding to the name of your application. If it is not there something has gone wrong in deployment
Thanks

Deploying pinned service to Managed Server in a cluster
Hi:
WLS8.1 SP4
I have a cluster of 4 managed servers.
I deploy a pinned service (in an EAR) to one of the cluster members.
Usign weblogic.Deployer:
weblogic.Deployer -adminUrl .. -name ExampleMDB -nostage -source c:\...\ExampleMDB.ear -deploy
The EAR seems to be targetted at all other 3 servers, and fails in prep for those other servers.
I also get this error if i use STAGE.
I suspect that it has something to do with deploying a pinned EAR to a clustered server.
If I frig config.xml (bypass Deployer or console), and restart the servers, it is deployed fine.
Any comments apprec.
g.Hi Rob,
Yes, I targetted the EAR at the 1 managed server:
-targets WLS05
weblogic.Deployer -name ExampleMDB -nostage -source ... -targets WLS05 -deploy
When i last tried this, the console reported success. However, when I checked config.xml, EXAMPLEMDB.ear was targetted at WLS05 and WLS08. When I saw this discrepancy, I raised a case with support.
I noticed in the release notes for SP4 that there were some resolved issues with cluster deployment when given less info than I have given. I'll update this thread with the support results.

How to deploy and remove one application from WebLogic server
Dear Friend:
Do you know anyway that I can deploy or remove an application using
command line intead of administration console when the WebLogic
server is running?
Thanks in advance,
DamonI think we have to clean ( already scheduled for next release) list of some of the
supported API on various MBeans. However just FYI , there is an "void
setURI(java.lang.String)" method in Component MBean that you could use.

I haven't figured out how to set the URI.
Also, it looks like this should also be possible using weblogic.Admin. Is that
true?

How to deploy JSR 168 Portlet war into Weblogic Portal Server?
Hello experts!
I have the installed Oracle WebLogic Portal 10.3.2 with Examples.
And I want to deploy my jsr-168 portlet.
Now I could to import this portlet by docs:

How can I add the web application as a WSRP producer using WebLogic Portal Administration Console?
What should I do?Hello Kevin,
my answers:
Are there any error or warning messages on the application server console when you deploy the generated EAR?When I checked the Auto-deploy checkbox and press Perform Import on the Import Tool page, I had:
Import Successful... Generated EAR:C:\Oracle\Middleware\wlportal_10.3\samples\domains\portal\helloApp.ear
But helloApp had the Warning status (Health column) on the Deployment page of the WL Server Administration Console
Health Information:
Name: AsyncProliferation
Health: OK
Reason: MDB application helloApp is connected to messaging system.
Name: MessageBufferBean
Health: Warning
Reason: MDB application helloApp is NOT connected to messaging system.
Name: MessageBufferTopicBean
Health: Warning
Reason: MDB application helloApp is NOT connected to messaging system.
If I did NOT check the Auto-deploy checkbox and then install on the Deployment page, I had:
Messages
All changes have been activated. No restarts are necessary.
The deployment has been successfully installed.
But helloApp had the Warning status (Health column) too.
Also, earlier you said that you were using WLP 10.3.2, but this issue sounds very similar to something
that happened in a previous version of WLP, so I just want to check with you again that you're using WLP 10.3.2, correct?Yes, I am using WLP *10.3.2*

How to archive files in another ftp server?
Hi,gurus:
My scenario is file to file and my sender adapter is ftp adapter.
Now I want to archive the send file in another ftp server,how can I implement it?
There is a parameter "Archive files on FTP server" when I choose the processing mode "archive".What's it's use?Thanks in advance.Hi,Santhosh:
Thanks for your reply.
I have checked your blog before,and it is very useful for me.
I still have a problem about command line.
In an sap note,I found the principle of the execution of the command line is like below code:
import java.util.*;
import java.io.*;
public class test {
public static void main(String args[]) {
try {
Runtime rt = Runtime.getRuntime();
Process proc = rt.exec("C:/data/test.bat <param1> <param2>");
} catch (Exception e) {
e.printStackTrace();
But you know this method has restriction.If my bat file has many commands,it only execute a part of commands(sometimes 8,sometimes 9 ).
My bat file is like below:
echo open 192.168.67.149 >c:
data
copyResult.txt
echo <username> >>c:
data
copyResult.txt
echo <password> >>c:
data
copyResult.txt
echo cd /receive>>c:
data
copyResult.txt
echo get %2>>c:
data
copyResult.txt
echo cd /ok>>c:
data
copyResult.txt
echo put %2>>c:
data
copyResult.txt
echo cd /archive>>c:
data
copyResult.txt
echo delete send.txt>>c:
data
copyResult.txt
echo quit >>c:
data
copyResult.txt
ftp -s:c:
data
copyResult.txt
del %2
I wanna merge all the "echo" in one command,so it may execute successfully,but I don't know the method.Any ideas? -
