How to deploy the EJB which used Japanese word on Weblogic server

Hi All,
I am running a test on WIN 2K pro Japanese system. When I deploy an ejb bean with
using Japanese character in the Java src code and also in ejb-jar.xml file, some
exceptions were thrown.
I am thinking that the weblogic cann’t pass ejb-jar.xml which is encoding as UTF-8
but with Japanese character. Could you please let me know how to configure the
Weblogic to solve the problem or to encode the ejb-jar.xml differently?
Any suggestion will be welcome.
Thanks,

  • How to deploy an EJB that uses TopLink (w/o including all the TopLink libs)

    This might be a basic question. Sorry !
    When my EJB uses TopLink libraries, is there a way to deploy the EJB without having to include the TopLink jars in the deploying JAR/EAR file ?
    Is there a way to make sure TopLink libraries are accessible commonly to all the applications on the app server ?
    Thanks,
    Krishna

    I think I got how to do this.
    I ave to use the "application.xml" file which is the global application.xml file for all applications on that OC4J instance.
    http://otn.oracle.com/tech/java/oc4j/doc_library/902/A95880_01/html/advanced.htm#1015123
    Gotta add all the common libraries to that file. for example:
         <library path="C:\OraHome1\toplink\core\lib\toplink.jar" />
         <library path="C:\OraHome1\toplink\core\lib\xerces.jar" />
         <library path="C:\OraHome1\toplink\core\lib\antlr.jar" />
         <library path="C:\OraHome1\toplink\hsql\lib\hsqldb.jar" />

  • How to specify a cipher suit used between plugin and weblogic server?

    I install Weblogic8.1 SP3 which supports for strong cipher suits, and config an apache 2.50 server as an front end.
    I config appache to use 2 way SSL with browser and wls one way SSL with apache plugin. Then config apache to forward client certs to WLS. now the problem is, I can see that the SSL connection between browser and apache uses a strong cipher suit('SSL_RSA_WITH_RC4_128_MD5'), but the ssl connection bwtween apache plugin and WLS uses a weak cipher suit('SSL_RSA_EXPORT_WITH_RC4_40_MD5'), with the SnoopServlet, although I use the mod_wl128_20.so module. How can I increase the cipher strength of SSL between WLS and it's apache plugin?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello Gunaseelan,
    This is not possible because WLS 6.1 needs a config.xml file, exactly this
    name, to start.
    What you can do is to define a recovery domain, called myrecovery_domain for
    instance, and put the config_recovery.xml, renamed "config.xml".
    Hope this helps,
    Ludovic.

  • Deploy the EJB in Weblogic server

    Hi all
    How do deploy the EJB In WebLogic server ?
    How do call the Deployed EJB from your client Program?
    Plz...Help Me.........

    How do deploy the EJB In WebLogic server ?first create ejb-jar.
    then package ur ejb-jar inside an ear.
    deploy this ear in weblogic. (i hope u know how to create a domain in weblogic. if not, refer weblogic online help)
    How do call the Deployed EJB from your client
    Program?while packaging the ejb-jar, u would have given some jndi names to ur APIs. use this jndi name to do a lookup on the context of ur server. u will get home interface. call create method on this interface. u get remote interface. now u can call the business methods.
    in case u r clueless on wht i m talking abt, u got a long way to go. understanding the weblogic, ejbs, packaging, deployment, JNDIs is quite involving to say the least.

In the "EJB Module" of project properties I've set the EJB Version property to 3.0, but the Annotated EJB 3.0 Bean Classes list remains empty, presumably because I have no beans defined in the sources of the application. When running the project the EJB jar did not deploy automatically. Is there something wrong? How can I achive this goal?
    Best Wishes~

    IDE: JDeveloper 11g (11.1.1.2.0)
    OS: Linux

    I don't think this technique will work. I added a META-INF/ejb-jar.xml file to the application, and added a <session> section for one of the EJB 3.0 beans from my third party jar. I specified values for <ejb-name>, <ejb-class>, and <session-type> hoping the rest of the configuration would be determined from the annotations in the class. When the server starts, this warning message is displayed:
    Oct 30, 2009 12:06:41 PM com.evermind.server.ejb.logging.EJBDeploymentMessages warningSessionBizInterfaceNotDefined
    WARNING: \[current-workspace-app: ... \] - The session bean does not has at least one business interface defined for client access. The bean is not accessiable and usable at runtime.
    Ready message received from Oc4jNotifier.
    Embedded OC4J startup time: 11042 ms.
    \[sic\]
    EJB 3.0 beans are not required to define business interfaces, as they are supposed to be generated by the container.
    Good idea, but still cannot deploy beans from the third party EJB 3.0 jar referenced by my project to the embedded OC4J container. Still investigating.
    Thanks,
    Steve
    By the way, I have been able to use your technique to deploy EJB 2.1 beans from third party jars in other projects, just not EJB 3.0 beans that do not provide ejb-jar.xml deployment descriptors, nor business interfaces.
    Edited by: user10375549 on Oct 30, 2009 9:51 AM - Added relevant comment regarding technique described for solving problem. It works for EJB 2.1 beans but not EJB 3.0 beans.

    Your question is a bit unclear.
    If you are referring to converting from using JInitiator to JRE, pl see MOS Doc 290807.1 (Deploying Sun JRE (Native Plug-in) for Windows Clients in Oracle E-Business Suite 11i).
    If you are referring to upgrading Java versions for use by EBS, pl see MOS Doc 401561.1 (Using J2SE Version 6 with Oracle E-Business Suite 11i).
    MOS Doc 300482.1 (Overview of Using Java with Oracle E-Business Suite Release 11i) gives an overview of Java usage with 11i.

         public static void main(String[] args) {
              try{
                   Properties props = System.getProperties();
                   props.put(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY,"com.sun.enterprise.naming.SerialInitContextFactory");

                   System.out.println(h.sayHello());
              }catch(Exception e){
                   e.printStackTrace();
    Please tell me how deploy the EJB in security on the Sun Java System Application Server 9? So that, The client must set the user name and password when lookup the ejb object. Like the following:
    props.put(Context.SECURITY_PRINCIPAL,"admin")
    props.put(Context.SECURITY_CREDENTIALS,"1234");

  • Deploying the SQLJ files used by the Rentals EJB

    In a previous section of the documentation for acmevideo demo, we
    address the issue of deployment of the Rentals EJB. This contains
    the rentals.sqlj file.
    Due to an issue with the current versio of Oracle 8i(8.1.5), a
    workaround must be deployed to explicitly deploy the *.ser file
    used by the Rentals EJB to the Oracle 8i database. (I don't know
    or understand what the issue is - can someone explain ?)
    Anyway, I am using Oracles suggested workaround and the
    deployment fails.
    Here is the text:
    *** Invoking the Oracle JDeveloper deployment utility ***
    Scanning project files...done
    Generating classpath dependencies...done
    Generating archive entries table...done
    Writing archive...done
    *** Invoking the Oracle8i deployment utility ***

    <The dialog in JDeveloper displays>:

    Any suggestions or tips how to get this working ?

    Mark,
    I had the same problem. Have you increased your Java_pool and
    your shared pool? That and having the right classpath/path
    helped. Also, I think that there are some SQL prep scripts that
    need to be run.

  • How to deploy the web.xml file when trying to use the JSP SDK from SAP?

    I want to use the adduser.jsp which downloaded form SAP SDK samples to add user in BO, but I cannot run it sucessfully. I believe it's caused the web.xml file was not deployed appropriately.
    could you please teach how to deploy the web.xml file for the JSP samples ?
    Could you show me some sample of web.xml for the SDK jsp files? Thank you very much!

    Ensure that you have followed below directory structure while deploying your web application.
       web_application_name
          WEB-INF
             lib
             classes
    web.xml must be placed in WEB-INF. Ensure that you have included all the jar files and other necessary files in your application.

    You can do a check for corrupted fonts and other font issues:

  • How to identify the SQLs which are using the tables and new columns

    Hi
    I m using oracle 10G Database in windows. Developers have added some columns in some of the database tables and were asking to check whether there is some impact on performance or not. I have not done this performance tuning before. Kindly help me how to proceed further.
    How to obtain the sqls which are touching the tables and the new columns? It would be really great if you can help me with this.
    Thanks

    You can try to use DBA_DEPENDENCIES to get PL/SQL objects using tables: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14237/statviews_1041.htm#i1576452.
    However if SQL code is not stored in database in a trigger, a procedure, a function, a package or a view, it is impossible to retrieve all SQL code referencing some table from database dictionary: for this you would have to analyze application source code.

  • How to deploy the native dll with the applet package by Sun Java Plugin

    I have an applet which use some native methods. I have written code for the native dll, but I don't know how to deploy the DLL with the applet jar file for Sun Java Plugin. What parameter do i should pass to System.loadLibrary()? I think the solution should don't care which browser used by the end client. How to do it? How to deal with the applet security problem?
    Thank for any comment!

    I have a similar problem.
    Trying to use the javax.comm package requires that the user have the win32com.dll located on their machine.
    I have solved the problem by using a signed applet that allows me to write the dll to the clients machine and then run the code but ideally I would like to run the code without writing the dll to the users machine...i.e. I want to load the dll directly through the applet in the same way the class files are loaded forthe applet are loaded without copying them to the clients machine. After trying everything I have come to the conclusion that it is NOT possible. The calls loadLibrary and load both require that the dll reside on the clients machine. If anyone has had a different experience please rebut this.
