How to Derive value in a text variable from numeric variable.

Hello experts!!
I have a requirement where i need to show some derived text in the column headers of my BEx query.
Say i have a text variable for the column header FYT which need to have the fiscal year text. I have another variable on 0FISCYEAR -- FY which has values of the fiscal year.
I have used FYT = &FY&, so, if FY = 2007, then the column header will show '2007'.
But my requirement is, If FY = 2007, then FYT should have FY-1, if FY = 2008, FYT should have FY-2 and so on.
I am not sure if we can use a normal and a text variable in a formula together. Please suggest what to do.

Thanks for the reply. But i am very clear about the explanation given. I enter one FY value on the screen say 2007.
Now depending on this value i have multiple columns say for 2008, 2009, 2010. So it will always vary according to the entered year. For example if i enter 2006, then i will have columns for 2007, 2008 and 2009.
The requirement is to show text for these columns. Say FY-1, FY-2 and FY-3. But this text is not same always. Say i take the year 2007 as my reference year for the start of use of my application.
Then when i will put 2008, then my columns should display FY-2, FY-3 and FY-4.
Please give the steps needed for the same. Be assured for full points

OK after a bit of research I found a way to achieve this.
I simply looked up the email address in ADUC, then did a search in SP with the display name. I could locate the list and manually confirm it was configured with the incoming email address I was looking for.
I also found the below script on Stackoverflow, but got "The 'using' keyword is not supported in this version of the language." when I tried to run it. Any idea how to fix that? I'd like to have a script to link a library to an email address istead of the
manual approach described above.

However, I went to the Verizon store and after many attempts to locate a trash can the sales rep turned off the phone with both buttons held down. When the apple came back the trash can came back. Hi all BI Gurus,
I am trying to come out from my problem from last two days and I am not able to find the solution.
Here is my problem.
I am having two dashboard pages in one dashboard. Both pages contains dashboard prompt. Now from the first page’s prompt I had set a presentation variable and I want to use that presentation variable’s value in to prompt’ s default value which is used in my second dashboard page.
I am hoping I can do that with Server variable or variable expression, but don’t know the proper way. I tried a lot with both but not able to find the solution.

Let me provide you more details regarding my problem,
I am having one dashboard prompt for gender and it's default value is 'Female' so I am assigning that value in to presentation variable PV_GENDER with set variable option in prompt.
Now in my second prompt which I am using on second page of same dashboard, I am trying to assign that value 'Female' ( or the one that user had selected ) with the help or that presentation variable PV_GENDER in Default to. I tried all options (e.g. Variable Expression, Server Variable, SQL Result ) but I am not able to get that value.

How to remove the automatically generated text fields from the InfoSet

I followed the procedure by SAP help.
Automatically generated text fields are marked with a 'T' on the icon in the InfoSet. You can remove the automatically generated text fields from the InfoSet in the initial screen of the InfoSet maintenance under Further Functions -> Delete Text Fields. Cancel the DataSource creation on the next screen and delete the text fields in the InfoSet maintenance transaction.
I know that there is an option "No automatic text recognition" when I create a new InfoSet, however, I couldn't find out how to change an existed InfoSet. I checked menu Goto->Global Properties, but that option is disabled. Is there a way to remove text fields from an existed InfoSet?

In the initial screen (when you enter transaction code SQ02) type your infoset name and goto menu: Infoset -> More functions -> Delete text fields. this will delete all text fields.

'Formats' is a very helpful tool for 'deleting' paragraph formats, character formats, cross reference formats, table formats, color definitions and variables.
You can delete unused one or all formats of selected. For paragraph and character you can also decide to 'add new one in catalog'.

How can I get rec'd text messages from the same subscriber not be appended

Hi,
Is there a way to configure the Apple iphone so that text messages from the same subscriber are displayed separately rather than appended to each other? In this way accidentally deleting one message wouldn't delete the entire history of messages from this subscriber.
When I launch the SMS service by pressing the green SMS button I am met by a screen that says Text Messages. On the left of this there is a button that says Edit and on the right there is one that is for writing a new message. Down the page are my messages all grouped by the originator of each messages. If I choose one I see that all messages from this source are present appended one after the other. There is also the option now to Clear on the top right hand corner. It is this Clear option I am worried about. If I choose Clear I am asked for a confirmation and then lo and behold as expected all my messages from this subscriber are deleted.
This is a work phone for support purposes and most of the texts will be from the telephone operator (i.e. the one same number) saying we have an email waiting to be read with a subject title giving a little description. I want to be in a position so that I don't accidentally delete the entire history of messages, say some evening when I'm tired or Monday morning if I 'm a bit asleep. Ideally I would prefer that each text message would stand alone in the Text Messages window irrespective of the originator and not be appended in a group fashion. Is there a way to do this?

There is no way to do that on the iPhone. Messages will always be grouped into a 'conversation' based on the sender/recipient. Only Apple can change that behavior.

I restored my phone but it restored to the only back up i had which was 2 months ago. Now none of the settings i have are up to date on what i had. How do i get all the text messages from that backup up to today?

Please read before going through with this procedure.
If you really want your contact back and you did not do another iCloud backap since you deleted some of your contacts, you can do a hard reboot on both devices with iClouded contacts by holding down the home and lock buttons on each of them for 10 seconds ignoring the slide to turn off thing. Make sure you have iCloud contact services off before doing so. You can then go through the whole set up process until you get up to the backup part. You then press to restore from an iCloud backup (make sure you choose the right backup for the right phone). If you didn't make an iCloud backup before the contact incident, you will have to use your two-month-old iTunes backups. Each phone should have their contacts the way they were from your last backup. You then go into Settings>iCloud>and turn off contacts. You then can choose if you want to keep your current contacts or not. Turn this off on both phones just incase you add another iCloud device to the mix later on. Now your contact lists are no longer linked (Caution: side effect may include lack of edit button). You may now add and delete contacts as you please without it happening on your other phone.
