How to determine bottleneck node in Oracle EBS

Hi all,
I am currently working on Oracle EBS auditing and performance tuning project. After assessment phase, I am going to give a proposal about how to improve performance of entire systems to my senior manager.
But it is the first time I work on this kind of project. So, please share me some experience to assess, determine which node is running in high load, the bottleneck of system (web node, concurrent node, form node,...). It will be better if share me some material (guide, checklist or methodology).

How to allocate the processor to oracle ebs instances

we are using solaris 10 on sparc t3 server.
we want to allocate some processor to oracle ebs instances for the multi instance environment
so please suggest us how should we go for it..

How to find custom table in Oracle EBS

I am looking for the query that can find out all custom tables/objects in Oracle EBS? For some reasons, the custom tables/objects's name does not follow any standard. That a reason why I cannot find all custom objects in database. If you have that query, please share with me.

I think there are are no such scripts for the whole application. However, you can find data integrity scripts for some modules in these documents.

How to determine the location of Oracle Client

Hi folks,
how can I determine the location on a given machine where the Oracle Client was installed ?
My java-application, which has used the 9i-Client until now, has to run with a 10g-client in future. The problem is: for a transition period, it has to use both clients optionally. So when the application starts running it doesn't know which client is installed on the machine.
There are never installed both clients, so before starting the jvm I have to decide which one has to be used, since I have to set the right classpath for accessing the jdbc14.jar.
Are there any settings (e.g. ORACLE_HOME or something like that) which are used in the same way in both clients (and on different platforms) ?

Hi Amit,
If you are not able to check the note 118823 or you can't able to find the solution. Just start client copy in test mode, there you can get the size of the client then you can cancel the client copy(which is in test mode).

How to determine which of the Oracle security products have been installed

I would like to determine whether or not the Oracle security products have been installed for an Oracle database.
The Oracle security products are:
* Oracle Database Vault
* Oracle Audit Vault
* Oracle Configuration Management
* Oracle Total Recall
* Oracle Advanced Security
* Oracle Data Masking
* Oracle Label Security
* Oracle Secure Backup
* Oracle Database Firewall
So what I thought is to look at the "DBA_REGISTRY" table which displays information about the components loaded into the database.
But on the other hand there also is the "V$OPTION" view which lists database options and features.
Does anybody know, how I could correctly determine whether or not each of the product is installed?
I guess for "Oracle Database Vault" I should query V$OPTION, but what should I do with the other ones? And in case DBA_REGISTRY would be the right table, how would the comp_ids look like for the products?

How to download Oracle EBS patch to import source file into FDQM

I am not able to find patches for importing source file from Oracle EBS into FDQM.Actually I have HFM,FDQM,ESSBASE,Planning,erp,epm,calculationManager in my virtual machine.I didn't Install Oracle EBS
Please tell me how to import source file from Oracle EBS like Flatfile from HFM into FDQM and share me what I need to install regarding EBS to Import and register the EBS adapters.It's urgent please share asap.

There are not any EBS Adapters for FDM.
If you are just importing a source file from EBS, you would need to setup an import format to parse the source file in FDm and then assign the import format to the location that will be used to load the target system and run the import process.
If you are looking to pull directly from EBS, you would need to use ERP Integrator (ERPi) to connect to oracle EBS and then use the ERPI adpater in FDM to pull the data from ERPI into FDM.
Can you be specific on what you are looking to do?

500 internal server error after installing oracle EBS 12.1.1

After installing oracle 12,1.1 using rapidwiz . the login page didn't open because of error 500 internal server,
i run autoconfig for database and i face that error below. how can i unlock that account and how can i connect sqlplus to oracle ebs.

Change Capture For Oracle EBS Sources

Hello,
I am trying to understand how the change capture process happens in DAC.
For Siebel sources, I understood that it happens through 'image' tables. And there are some docs/info available on this.
I am just wondering how this happens in case of Oracle EBS and other sources. I think there is no image table concept with these sources.
Can anyone point me to some info on this..?

Yes, for EBS, PeopleSoft and other non-Siebel sources, the change capture process is usually based on a form of "LAST UPDATE DATE" on the source system tables. This is is usually compared against the "LAST REFRESH DATE" in the DAC for the source and target tables. This can be seen if you look at the Session overrides for the FULL versus INCREMETAL workflows/sessions. Of course, this process may differ based on the nature of the source system. I believe certain sources that do not have a useable "LAST UPDATE DATE" may require a full extract each time. The best approach would be to go through the vanilla ETL code for FULL versus INCREMENTAL sessions.
