How to disable index defined on a stsndard table j_1ipart2?

Dear Friends,
I am using a stndard table j_1ipart2 for updating line items for GL account.I am using a hashed type internal table for this purpose.But There is already two indexes defined. and they are not useful to me.So I just want to disable these indexes for my hashed type internal table for better perfomance.Plz guide me urgenty.
Also if possible send me sample coding structure...............!!!!!
For better understanding problem write to me
Thanks&Regards
Ricky

Hi Ricky,
You dont have to bother about the index selection.The database optimizer will select the best index for your selection.

  • How many SECONDARY INDEXES are created for CLUSTER TABLES?

    how many SECONDARY INDEXES are created for CLUSTER TABLES?
    please explain.

    There seems to be some kind of misunderstanding here. You cannot create a secondary index on a cluster table. A cluster table does not exist as a separate physical table in the database; it is part of a "physical cluster". In the case of BSEG for instance, the physical cluster is RFBLG. The only fields of the cluster table that also exist as fields of the physical cluster are the leading fields of the primary key. Taking again BSEG as the example, the primary key includes the fields MANDT, BUKRS, BELNR, GJAHR, BUZEI. If you look at the structure of the RFBLG table, you will see that it has primary key fields MANDT, BUKRS, BELNR, GJAHR, PAGENO. The first four fields are those that all cluster tables inside BSEG have in common. The fifth field, PAGENO, is a "technical" field giving the sequence number of the current record in the series of cluster records sharing the same primary key.
    All the "functional" fields of the cluster table (for BSEG this is field BUZEI and everything beyond that) exist only inside a raw binary object. The database does not know about these fields, it only sees the raw object (the field VARDATA of the physical cluster). Since the field does not exist in the database, it is impossible to create a secondary index on it. If you try to create a secondary index on a cluster table in transaction SE11, you will therefore rightly get the error "Index maintenance only possible for transparent tables".
    Theoretically you could get around this by converting the cluster table to a transparent table. You can do this in the SAP dictionary. However, in practice this is almost never a good solution. The table becomes much larger (clusters are compressed) and you lose the advantage that related records are stored close to each other (the main reason for having cluster tables in the first place). Apart from the performance and disk space hit, converting a big cluster table like BSEG to transparent would take extremely long.
    In cases where "indexing" of fields of a cluster table is worthwhile, SAP has constructed "indexing tables" around the cluster. For example, around BSEG there are transparent tables like BSIS, BSAS, etc. Other clusters normally do not have this, but that simply means there is no reason for having it. I have worked with the SAP dictionary for over 12 years and I have never met a single case where it was necessary to convert a cluster to transparent.
    If you try to select on specific values of a non-transparent field in a cluster without also specifying selections for the primary key, then the database will have to do a serial read of the whole physical cluster (and the ABAP DB interface will have to decompress every single record to extract the fields). The performance of that is monstrous -- maybe that was the reason of your question. However, the solution then is (in the case of BSEG) to query via one of the index tables (where you are free to create secondary indexes since those tables are transparent).

    Hi,
    Create attribute in context to control enabling/disabling action of a button. Bind this attribute to button. In some action method populate this attibute with boolean values.

  • How to create index on XMLTYPE ordered collection table?

    I am using Oracle 11.2.0.2.
    Essentially, my XML documents have a 3-level hierarchy:
    event
      +---action  [1:n]
             +---- param   [1:n]
    I am trying to create indexes on ordered collection tables, but can not get the syntax right...
    I have created a table with an object-relational XMLType column:
    CREATE TABLE T_C_RMP_MNTRNG_XML_FULL_IL4 (
      MESSAGE_ID NUMBER(22,0) NOT NULL ENABLE,
      XML_EVAL_ID NUMBER(22,0),
      VIN7 VARCHAR2(7 BYTE),
      FLEET_ID VARCHAR2(50 BYTE),
      CSC_SW_VERSION VARCHAR2(100 BYTE),
      RECEIVED DATE,
      XML_CONTENT SYS.XMLTYPE ,
      DWH_LM_TS_UTC DATE NOT NULL ENABLE,
      CONSTRAINT PK_C_RMP_MNTRNG_XML_FULL_IL4 PRIMARY KEY (MESSAGE_ID)
    ) NOLOGGING TABLESPACE CATALOG
    VARRAY "XML_CONTENT"."XMLDATA"."action" STORE AS TABLE "T_OR_MON_ACTION" (
      NOLOGGING TABLESPACE "CATALOG"
      VARRAY "param" STORE AS TABLE "T_OR_MON_ACTION_PARAM" (
      NOLOGGING TABLESPACE "CATALOG"
      ) RETURN AS LOCATOR
    ) RETURN AS LOCATOR
    XMLTYPE XML_CONTENT STORE AS OBJECT RELATIONAL XMLSCHEMA "http://mydomain.com/cs.xsd" ELEMENT "monitoring";
    I am running the following SELECT:
    SELECT EVENT_ID, ACTION_SUB_ID, MESSAGE_ID, ACTION_TYPE, UNIXTS_TO_DATE(ACTION_TIMESTAMP) ACTION_TIMESTAMP
    FROM T_C_RMP_MNTRNG_XML_FULL_IL4,
    XMLTABLE(
      'for $i1 in /monitoring ,
      $i2 in $i1/action
      return element r {
      $i1/eventId,
      $i2
      PASSING XML_CONTENT COLUMNS
      EVENT_ID VARCHAR(40) PATH 'eventId',

      ACTION_TYPE VARCHAR2(100) PATH 'action/type',
      ACTION_TIMESTAMP NUMBER(13,0) PATH 'action/time'
    ) T2
    WHERE (
      EVENT_ID IS NOT NULL AND ACTION_SUB_ID IS NOT NULL

    I found the example at http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/appdev.112/e23094/xdb_rewrite.htm#ADXDB5859 but am not able to apply it to this particular case...
    Thank you in advance...

    If the schema is not annotated then xs:integer and xs:string are mapped to NUMBER and VARCHAR2(4000) datatypes, so you have to use those in your query in order to avoid unnecessary typecasting operations.
    You should also use chained XMLTABLEs when accessing a parent/child relationship instead of a FLWOR expression, otherwise the CBO may not rewrite the XQuery correctly (maybe it's fixed in the latest release).
    If you make those changes, the plan should show cleaner predicates :
    SQL> SELECT EVENT_ID, ACTION_SUB_ID, MESSAGE_ID, ACTION_TYPE, ACTION_TIMESTAMP
      2  FROM test_table,
      3  XMLTABLE('/monitoring'
      4    PASSING XML_CONTENT COLUMNS
      5      EVENT_ID         VARCHAR2(4000) PATH 'eventId',
      6      actions          XMLTYPE        PATH 'action'
      7    ) T1,
      8  XMLTABLE('/action'
      9    PASSING actions COLUMNS
    10      ACTION_SUB_ID    NUMBER PATH 'actionSubId',
    11      ACTION_TYPE      VARCHAR2(4000) PATH 'type',
    12      ACTION_TIMESTAMP NUMBER PATH 'time'
    13  ) T2
    14  WHERE EVENT_ID IS NOT NULL
    15  AND ACTION_SUB_ID IS NOT NULL
    16  ;
    Execution Plan

       5 - filter("SYS_ALIAS_0"."actionSubId" IS NOT NULL)
    Note
       - dynamic sampling used for this statement (level=2)
    Now, if still necessary, it all boils down to choosing a technique to index NULL values :
    - composite index with a not null or constant column
    - FBI
    - bitmap
    Pick one that best fits your data, selectivity and activity on the tables.

    I have not customized anything. All my other browsers are fine, it is only Firefox that has this issue and it's on 2 different pc's.
    I have tried using the default theme and even downloaded, enabled, & disabled 3-4 other themes and none of them effect the transparency or the blacked out tabs.

    To give you an example I have copied sample report BCALV_GRID_DEMO, added some code (search for <b>$Comment</b>) and modified the GUI-status <b>MAIN100</b> (replace function code EXIT with <b>BACK</b> for the F3 function).
    Run the program and push several times the BACK button: one toolbar function after the other will be inactivated.

  • How to find index of row in dynamic table?

    Our form has a table to which the user can add rows.  We want to be able to edit the custom help text of each field in the row to add the row number for accessibility.  But need the index number of the row to reference the row of the fields. And we can't figure out how to get it.
    We have tried both the field initialize and field layout events, but our property for index is not being recognized. For the initialize event of one of the fields in the row, we wrote this code:
    xfa.host.messageBox("We are in the initialize event for this field.");
    var thisRow = this.parent.index;
    xfa.host.messageBox(thisRow);
    We have the table set up with 8 intial rows. The first message pops up 8 times, but the second doesn't appear at all.  How can we get the number of the row we are addressing?
    Thanks.

    Not sure what's going on there but messageBox() is throwing an error for some reason (use CTRL-J in Acrobat to open the Console):
    GeneralError: Operation failed.
    XFAObject.messageBox:3:XFA:form1[0]:subMain[0]:Table1[0]:Row1[1]:TextField1[0]:ready
    Argument mismatch in property or function argument
    It works if you add some text:
    xfa.host.messageBox("Row Number: " + thisRow);
    app.alert() works: app.alert(thisRow);
    And console.println() works (less annoying for testing than popups - open the Console window to see the results):
    console.println(thisRow);
    Ah, just figured it out - messageBox() doesn't seem to like a number first, it's expecting a string. The following works with your original script:
    var thisRow = this.parent.index.toString();

  • How to disable a node in ADF Tree Table?

    Hi,
    I'm using JDeveloper version - 11.1.1.7
    I have a requirement to disable the nodes in Tree table based on status of the node. How can I achieve this?
    Any inputs would be helpful.
    Thanks
    Ravi

    Hi,
    you cannot disable nodes in the sense that they cannot be expanded or selected. What you can do though is to ignore node selections in a custom selection handler or to render the node different (e.g. using an output text component instead of a command link or image etc.). What is your functional requirement for what disabled nodes should not do

  • How to disable a bean (messageChoice) in a Table region on  a condition?

    Within a Table based region, I have a requirement to disable MessageChoiceBean (Expense Type) based a specific value of expense type.
    This is in iExpense (CreditCardLines page) module. When the user clicks next btn and navigates to CreditCardLines page, BusinessCreditCardLinesVO gets executed. I can loop thru this VO and can check the specific value of Expense Type but I do not know how to get handle of that bean for a given row in VO and disable that particular expense type bean.
    Hope this is clear. Can you please help?
    Thanks,

    Hi,
    When the page is standard, you need to substitute the VO BusinessCreditCardLinesVO, and add a new attribute which will return true or false (according to your condition)
    and assign that to disabled property of the item (like ${oa.XXTTermsAndConditionsPVO1.Accept}).
    Thanks.

  • How to get index of the item from table when user double click on an item

    Can anyone tell me how to get the corresponding index of a table in which
    elements are listed as array of strings? I am looking for the index of the
    item being double-clicked on?
    Thank you in advance
    Cheers,
    NQ.

    Hi NQ,
    Although the question is not thouroughly clear, I can give a few suggestions. You can use the property node for table to refer to any particular row or column of the table. The correpsonding elements in the property node will be "SelStart", "SelSize" etc. Just as a side thought, the index of a table starts with (0,0).
    I am attaching a test file. Please see if it helps you in figuring out what exactly you want. This example VI is just to help you try different options under property node (if you havent already tried)to get what you want.

  • How to check Index is in sync with Table

    Hi DBAS,
    OS = RHEL 4
    DB = 10.2.0.4
    How do we sync an index to a table ? Can we sync an index? if an index is not having same number of records as in table ?
    Thanks,
    Hari

    The question does not make sense.
    An index is always "in sync" with a table.
    The only context that talking about "synching" an index makes sense is with a "special" Oracle Text index.
    if an index is not having same number of records as in table ?If you're talking about NUM_ROWS in ALL/USER/DBA_TABLES and ALL/USER/DBA_INDEXES then these are just statistics, not necessarily 100% accurate and possibly gathered at different times.
    See http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e25789/indexiot.htm#CNCPT811:
    The database automatically maintains and uses indexes after they are created.
    The database also automatically reflects changes to data, such as adding, updating,
    and deleting rows, in all relevant indexes with no additional actions required by users.

  • How to disable a single cell in a table (and not the whole column)

    Hi there,
    I've got a webdynpro table with a few columns, rows can be created dynamically through a button in the table toolbar.
    Depending on the value of a certain cell I have to disable another cell (in the same row).
    I tried to manipulate the view in the modifyview but no joy. I also tried to manipulate the attribute property through the coding below:
      DATA lv_knttp TYPE knttp.
      lo_nd_kostl = wd_context->path_get_node( path = `MULTIVALUES.KOSTL` ).
      lo_el_kostl = lo_nd_kostl->get_element( ).
      lo_el_kostl->set_attribute_property(
      attribute_name = 'LTEXT'
              property       = lo_el_kostl->e_property-enabled
              value          = ''
    but it disables the whole column!!!! I just need the cell to be disabled (I thought the code above, through the lead selection, would affect a certain cell only - but I was wrong).
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!!!

    Hi,
    using cell variants you can do this.,
    check this article: [Cell Variants in WDA|http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/WDABAP/WebDynproforABAPCellVariants]
    Instead of binding the read only property of table as a whole , just bind the read only property of column group of table., You can do this bu drill down the table and select the required column and bind the read only column.,
    then In onAction Event of button .,
    loop the table, if condition satisfied set the read only property to true else false.,!!
    hope this helps u.,
    Thanks & regards,
    Kiran

  • How to disable first row selection in a table

    Hi,
    I have three tables which have master child relationship. I need to enable a button for each table based on row selection of corresponding table.But first row is being selected automatically and the buttons are enabled.
    what should i do in order to avoid first row selection in a table.I tried by removing selected Row Keys.But still i am getting the same problem.can anyone suggest on this.
    Thank You,
    Sukumar

    I know a hack but I don't recommend it, anyway here it goes:
    Remove selected Row Keys
    Change selectionListener from the default and create a custom action listener (You can call the default one inside of it) (Tip: use makeCurrent function in this PDF
    This will make sure that there is no selected row highlighted for the first time, but it actually means that the first row is selected, it's just not shown.
    This method is tested with 11.1.1.7
