How to disable input hotplugging created device?

I got my sixaxis gamepad working using bluetooth but the evdev input driver automatically creates a /dev/input/event7 device and assigns left analog as mouse. Is there any way to prevent this?

Yeah i did that, i also disabled/moved hal to the and of the daemons, no luck. i even tryed deleting evdev but of course it disabled my keyboard and mouse.
You have to set up an xorg.conf file for all of your devices then -- just like the olden days.

Skipping beginner guide section: "disable input hotplugging". That ok?

I'm skipping the section in the Beginner's Guide called "Disable input hotplugging." Is that ok? Or should I disable it and let HAL use the settings from xorg.conf?

Ive never bothered with that and never had an issue. You can always change it if u want. All else fails, anything u do can be undone via a rescue CD.. like the arch linux disc. I used the Arch Linux CD to rebuild my kernel image on my Arch partition when I screwed up something badly with Splashy.

I feel that the Generation of Field is not properly done, while creating the table. you can create the new table with the same fields and click on the icon FIELD GENERATION at the left corner of the screen with red and white circle. you can confirm by clicking on the field attribute icon.

That is an end user preference only. Not accessible by JavaScript. If you control the installation, then you can turn off that option for the installation but the user could still turn it back on.

Hi Pooja,
You can set the property insert allowed to false for the entity map related to attachment item in page definition.
Now in your controller, you can set this to true if your condition is achieved.
Dictionary[] entityMaps = attBean.getEntityMappings()
entityMaps[0].remove("insertAllowed");
entityMaps[0].put("insertAllowed", false);
attBean.setEntityMappings(entityMaps);

   after u add some data to that field. Now check the field, if it is not initial then make that field in disable mode.
for eg:
loop at screen.
             if itab-<fieldname> is not initial.
             screen-input = 0.
             modify screen.
             endif.
          endloop.

Ctrl+shift+U - Unicode input, how to disable?

Anyone knows how to disable ctrl+shift+u unicode input?
Whenever I press ctrl+shift+u, I get an underlined "u" and can enter some unicode number. However, I don't need it, and because of this, for example in qt creator the predefined "ctrl+shift+u" keyboard shortcut doesn't work.
I have no idea where this mapping comes from (obviously not qt, since ctrl+shift+u is mapped to an important shortcut), but maybe gnome or the xserver?

I just updated from Ubuntu 13.10 to Ubuntu 14.04 and I found that I have exactly this same problem, which is being caused by ibus (my up to date Arch system doesn't seem to have the problem). You can see if ibus is running on your system via:

I'm running XFCE and there is now a "Language Support" icon in the "Settings" panel (select "Settings Manager" on the main menu.) The Language Support app contains a "Keyboard input method system" selection on Language tab. I changed it from 'IBus' to 'None' and now Ctrl+Shift+u works again. I switched from an iPhone 4 to a Galaxy S3. When my wife who still has an iPhone 4 tries to text me it still sends the message as an iMessage and I NEVER receive the text on my Galaxy S3. It still shows the little blue bubble next to my name when starting a new text thread. So I checked with about 4 other iPhone users that text me on a regular basis and I'm not receiving any of their messages either.
If the iPhone users turn off iMessage the text comes right through. However I dont expect all the iPhone users on my contact list to turn off the iMessage feature just so they can text me.
I no longer have my old iPhone. I traded it in at Best Buy so there's no way of going back in the phone to change any settings. The iPhone was wiped of all data and settings anyway before I traded it in.
I took my wifes iPhone and deleted my contact. Then I added it back. Still shows my name as iMessage. I took my e-mail address out of my contact entry on her phone and it still shows my name as iMessage.
I logged into "Apple Support - My Support Profile" to try to unregister my device as suggested in another forum but I can't get past the "enter your purchase date" page. It was a refurbished iPhone and the date I purchased the device didn't work. Theres no way I'll ever get the original purchase date since I wasn't the original buyer of that iPhone.
Any suggestions?? This is an urgent matter as I NEED to receive text messages from my wife and other iPhone users. My wife is willing to turn off iMessage on her iPhone but I don't expect everyone else to.
I need to find out how to unreigster my old iPhone completely from iMessage.... or find out how to disable a specific contact on my wife's iPhone from using iMessage.

If you still have an iPhone handy and have the SIM card you used for the phone, then temporarily put your SIM into the other phone and go into Settings and turn of iMessage. If not, the only alternative that I know of is the Support profile, However, you may what to search the More Like This section on the right side of the thread to see if any of the entries there have a green checkmark meaning they are answered.

Hi All - sorry if this is in the wrong area but I'm alittle stuck. Recently sold my Macbook but forgot to disable the "Find my Device" on it. Now everytime I log into my icloud and look for my daughter (hmmm stalking her by tracking the phone LOL) if these new people have the mac turned on it pops back up. I've removed it a couple of times when it's been online but it keeps coming back.
Don't have any way to contact them ... how can I permanently remove it???

I believe that it is not very likely that the person that has bought your computer is using your iCloud account. It appears that by enabling find my Mac on the computer, this is somehow written to firmware, so that the Mac continues to be located by the find my Mac application even after the computer has been erased.
There is some evidence to show that when the person that has bought the computer enables find my Mac themselves that's it will then stop showing up in your find my Mac application.

How to disable Create Supplier tab in supplier Inquiry form in AP Responsibility without effecting the supplier entry form. I did the following setups but it is disable in supplier entry form also. Please help me it is very urgent.
1. Log into your System Administrator responsibility.
2. Navigate to Security > Responsibility > Define
3. Query the Payables responsibility you want to only have Inquiry access.
4. Under Menu Exclusion area, set the following:
Type = Function
Name = Supplier Full Access : Buyer View (POS_HT_SP_ACCESS_FULL )
5. Save and test this responsibility.

I guess you have followed the steps mentioned in the note

which means that you need to have separate responsibility for the Supplier Inquiry. You cannot have Supplier Inquiry and Suppler Entry in the same responsibility,please have separate responsibilities. Please make sure you are not having inquiry and entry in the same responsibility.
