How to display fixed number of rows on rtf file

Hi everyone,
I have the following requirement. The pdf output should have fixed number of 33 lines in a group by. The rows in group by can vary for each group . For eg: If a group has 3 rows , the pdf output should print 3 lines and 30 empty lines, and if group has 2 lines, the out put should print 31 emty lines.
can anyone please help me with this requirement?

How to display the number of row in a grid

Hi,
In a Form I have a grid (populated from a table). The first field is the Code ID_NUMBER, datatype varchar2(4), mask format 9999.
I need that when I click (or insert) on a new row in the datagrid, the field Code must be filled with a new value automatically. For example, if in the previous rows I have "0002", "0004", "0006", the new value in the new rows must be "0008".
How can perform this ?

I have tried to insert in the DataBlock a trigger WHEN_CREATE_RECORD that call a procedure like this:

RDL report(2008).Want to display different number of rows from second page onwards than the first page.

I have used pagination to display the report data.I have used page break.I want to display 10 records on first page and from second page onwards I want to display 25 records on all remaining pages.

According to your description, you want to insert page break for different number of rows, display 10 rows on the first page and 25 rows on the following pages. After testing the issue in my SQL Server Reporting Services 2008 environment, we can use the
method below to achieve your requirement:
In your scenario, right-click the group which contains the expression: =CEILING(RowNumber(Nothing)/25) to open the Group Properties dialog box.
Modify the original expression to the following in the Group on textbox:
=Floor((RowNumber(Nothing)+14)/25)

Hy experts
How to display a fixed number of rows in a page when using CL_GUI_ALV_GRID?? lets say 500 ?? because my display table it may contain in some cases 10.000 and evidently I can t see all of them..
I have a button in my toolbar witch triggers this event
(display 500 records ) but I don t have the logic to do this only with methods of CL_GUI_ALV_GRID.
can you tell me a standard method of CL_GUI_ALV_GRID witch can help me do this?? any hint will be good..
Till now I was used to add a column to my structure witch represents a flag that is a number corresponding to every 500 records (a batch containing 500 records )
first       500 - flag -> 1
second 500 - flag -> 2
etc..but I m convinced that exists a way of doing this more easy..without damaging my structure..

if method SET_FILTER_CRITERIA doesn´t help, I think that you must work with 2 internal tables, a counter and a loop for filtering the records to be displayed:
case counter.
when 1.
     loop at int_table1 from 1 to 500.      "<-- your table with all records
       move int_table1 to int_table2
    endloop.
when 2.
     loop at int_table1 from 501 to 1000.
       move int_table1 to int_table2
    endloop.
etc, etc.
Call grid-->SET_TABLE_FOR_FIRST_DISPLAY
   exporting
     IT_OUTTAB = int_table2                "<-- instead of your currently table int_table1

I am viewing reports using BEx Web analyzer option. It is displaying only 24 rows of data at a time. How to increase the number of rows? do i need to any kind of settings?

I think the standard template in 2004s is named 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN. You can find it in Web Application Designer, open, and search for the technical name. If you want to change the number of rows or columns, you can find this setting near the bottom of the XHTML view of the template:
<bi:BLOCK_COLUMNS_SIZE value="4" />
<bi:BLOCK_ROWS_SIZE value="17" />
Then just save, and ignore the error messages.

I don't understand the question.
The number of visible rows is dependent on the size of the scroll pane.
Scrolling does not change the number of rows that are visible.

I am having a report and its using a grouping expression on “Group on
(=Field!Salelocation)” when it add another group on the details and have the page calculation such as (=Ceiling(RowNumber(Nothing)/20))
and assign the page break at to the point of saving its ok , when trying to upload the report then it throws the following error .

Fixed number of rows in ADF table

Can we specify fixed number of rows for ADF table so even no rows displayed it will still show 10 empty rows.

the rangesize property determines how many rows will be displayed and controls paging. If there are no rows to begin with (if I understand the question correctly) rangesize won't have any effect.

How to increase the number of rows in Status Oveview iView in MSS?

We have implemented MSS and have a question regarding Status overview iview.
The standard status overview iview of the team workset has 5 rows and we have to scroll using the arrow buttons to select/view a request.
Now can anyone explain me how to increase the number of rows in this iview? Is this somthing that has to be accoplished through web dynpro customization?
I checked the options in iView property and do not see any option to increase the number of rows.

Well, I am not really sure, if you could accomplish this using customizing, but I am sure that you can accomplish this using the JDI. Well, you can extract the application's source code using JDI and then change the required display rows property and republish it.
Am not really sure if this is suggestable method for this requirement,but it can be achieved using this JDI stuff.

Can anyone tell me how to limit the number of rows in the output of a sap script/smart form. I have tried "protect/endprotect" in sap script but have no idea of how to do in smart form. In sap script the only way it has happened is by reducing the size of the main window.

In Smartform also, why dont you try reducing the size of the window if you want to limit the rows in it. Also if you are printing Line Items in a LOOP, you can write
LOOP AT T_ITAB FROM 1 TO N in the LOOP Node if you know how many records exactly you want to display in 1 Page processing.

How to display more than 200 rows in the table?

Hi Experts,
Is that possible to display more than 200 rows in a Table.
when i query from table, it has 1000 rows, i want to display all the 1000 rows in the Table.
when i query, the values are displaying up to 201 rows only,
when i click next on 200 - 201 it throws Exception says
*"Query has exceeded 200 rows. Potentially more rows exist, please restrict your query."*
let me know how to display all the 1000 rows in a table without Exception.

The number of rows retrieved is controlled by profile option "FND: View Object Max Fetch Size". I believe 200 is the default value. Pl see these MOS Docs

You don't, you execute a query whose result is the record count of those records that match the search and then you execute the actual query to create your record set. Typically you do
select count(id) from YourTable where [filter]
from the resulting ResultSet do
int res.getInt(1);
which gives you the count and then
select id from YourTable where [filter]
to produce the actual result set.
in the second query the id part can be substituted with the actual fields you want.

I using the following method:
Using "Edit Formula" in table, then "Column Formula" is set as "CONCAT(CONCAT('Facility: ',PRO_M_FACILITY.ABBR_NAME), CONCAT('<>Department: ',PRO_M_DEPARTMENT.DEPARTMENT_NAME) )". I want to use "<>" to display "Department: XXXXXXX" in the second row, but it also does not work.

Create spreadsheet file with a fixed number of rows

What is the most straight forward way to create a series of spreadsheet files each with a new file name and fixed number of rows. We have a data acquisition process that creates a new 1D array every 2 seconds. We'd like to build a series of spreadsheet files each having two hours or 3600 rows of data. Is there a best way to do this in LV9?

Use the low-level FileI/O Vis with Write to Text File.vi where you open a new file with every N iteration like this:
You just have to convert your 1D Array to string before.
If you would like to have a new file every N hours you should create a FGV which checks the elapsed time using Get Date/Time in Seconds.vi, which is more appropriate for longtime applications.

I downloaded a Planning webform into Smartview. I want to reduce the 1000 rows down to 20 for a particular user as he does not submit data for the other 980 rows. How can I reduce number of rows in Planning webform in Smartview?
Someone said that I can insert vlookup code into Smartiveiw pointing to a new worksheet that has only 20 rows. I could not test it as our Planning 9.3.1 has a bug that would not take sub variables from Smartview.

My first reaction is why do you have a form with a 1000 rows, surely this is a design issue and doesn't benefit anybody when entering data, anyway why not have security on the dimensions then users will only see what they have access to when they retrieve the form in smart view or through the planning web front end.
