How to download scanner driver without Software Update Lion

I checked on the printer and scanner page that Lion supports my old Epson Perfection 2450 scanner

Lion cannot seem to recognize my scanner, I have tried everything...
Is there a way to redownload the driver but not through Software Update? There seems to be no update for Epson driver after installing Lion.

I know you tried everything, but did that include using Preview?
In Preview, use File > Import from Scanner.
The same ability is available in System Preferences > Print & Scan.
If that does not work, use Image Capture in the Applications folder.
Beginning with Lion, Software Update is supposed to incorporate all drivers. There should be no need to install them any other way, nor am I aware of any other method.

BTW, don't give up. You might have success downloading it in a day or two. The download speed today and tomorrow will be slow, as the servers will be choked with everyone trying to update Lion at the same time.
Try again once the rush is over; you should be able to download the whole thing in an hour then.

I reinstalled AirPort 5.5.3 which worked, but the app still won't launch but iTunes now recognizes my AirPort Express, I just hope I don't want to change its settings.

The Time Capsule drive is a network drive. You have to mount it on the desktop before you will be able to drag/drop files onto the disk. More tips are in this thread:

The Time Capsule was designed for your backups.
If you move a file to the Time Capsule drive and delete the file from your Mac.....you have no backup.
Your only copy of the file will be on the Time Capsule drive. I would only do this with files that I could afford to lose.
All drives fail. When.....not if....the Time Capsule drive has a problem, you will lose your data.

Tried that by shutting down via the power button only as the normal shutdown was nixed by the open window issue. It did not help. Found a very similar question in the discussions and it recommended "Force Quit". That worked and the update works normal and the window is gone. Thanks!

Find the old Aperture library in the Finder and double click it to launch Aperture with that library set to the default.
And check your caps look key. It appears to be stuck.

First of all, please, excuse my english......i know it's the worst possible and will try to develop it.
My question is the following.
The hard disk of my xServe is almost full and I need to delete the old Apple Software Udates that it contains (some of them are from 2005!!)
And I don´t know how to make it!!
I`ve uncheck the "automatically enable copied updates" option in Server Admin and I´ve check-in the "Purge unused/legacy software", but i don´t know how to delete the oldest Apple Software Updates because I don´t know where the **** are they!!

How come Mac OS X's Software Update doesn't show a total time ETA and size?

I noticed when downloading big updates from Mac OS X 10.5's Software Update, it doesn't show the TOTAL time left and size. It only shows the individual updates (e.g., iTunes). Is there a way to show the totals especially when downloading takes forever?
