How to edit IT Resource parameters??

How to edit IT Resource parameters??
When I go to the IT Resources type definition and open the IT resource, I see correct parameters. But when I open the same IT resource in IT resources tab, I see one parameter missing and another one duplicate.
Can someone explain what is happening. This is really urgent .. please help!!

The IT resource type is like a class definition while the IT resource is an instance of class.
It is likely that the it resource instance that you see was defined using an old it resource type definition. Create a new instance and you should get the correct fields.
Hope this helps

  • How to edit oracle portal parameters Example: _decoration=false

    Hi,
    I am not sure if this is correct area where I am posting my problem, but disperate about the soultion and help.
    as per my requirement in the portlets, I shouldbe restricting the users from accessing the Header links/option like "Home"Builder"Navigation"
    I have verified from the URL that parameter _decoration handles the links to be displayed or hiding them based on the values we pass as true / false.
    But I am not sure where and how to modify or edit the _decoration parameter configuration.
    Please help me soon with clear inputs how to resolve this.

    Edited by: user10428717 on Mar 24, 2009 4:28 AM- This forum is fine. Though there is a more appropriate forum for portal related questions here: [Oracle Application Server Portal Forum|http://forums.oracle.com/forums/forum.jspa?forumID=14&start=0].
    - the method to restrict user's access of the top links like Navigator, Builder, etc is not what you described. you can restrict this access by using Access privileges for your users and groups on any such pages or portlets.
    However, I am not sure if you really wanted to block access to Home, Builder or Navigator page from such users. By default, Portal Builder page is visible to all public users (even those who are not logged in). And Navigator page is visible to those who can log in (AUTHENTICATED_USERS). That does not mean that they see all those powerful links or portlets too as a powerful user may see.
    - If you still want to do it, then do the following:
    For Builder page, click the Edit link. Go to Properties, and then Access tab. Here un-check the check-box for Display Page To Public Users.
    Similarly for Navigator, Edit the page, go to Properties/ Access. and see in the Grant Access section. Here revoke View privilege from the AUTHENTICATED_USERS group.

  • How to edit Init Parameters using OEM Website?

    How can one edit an init parameter of a servlet runnig in Oracle 9 iAS.
    I have Oracle 9iAS r2 running on a Win2K with 512 MB RAM. Everything works fine excpet editing the init parameters using OEM Website. The documentation says its possible to edit the init parameters by clicking on it. But here, the init parameters are not having hyperlinks. Please help...

    Thanks for the instant reply.
    If that is the case, what is the way out then?
    How can the end-user (ofcourse, the 9iAS administrator at customer site) change the init parameters?
    What we have suggested is to edit the web.xml in the EAR before deploying the application. Is it the only way out? Customer find it difficult to accept.

    How do i find out what teachers editions and resources are available to compliment etextbooks?
    I'm researching the possibility of using iPads for our school but I need to make sure that we can get the appropriate teacher resources to go along with the textbooks. Where can I find these?

    I would contact the publisher of the textbook directly.  Apple is just a store, not a publisher.

    Not sure it is a good idea to be editing VISA resources while the VI is running.  I'm not even sure it's "legal" which might explain why it isn't there.  If all you want to to is be able to change which equipment to talk to, maybe it's best to just to have a VISA resource control and have the user select from there, or maybe a ring control with pre-defined VISA resources.

    Thanks..

    That's invalid, I believe. You cannot have more than two

    side, as I recall.

  • How to edit registry using recovery console or dos

    Hello everybody!
    Due to some reason (virus) the value of  - "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon - Shell " was changed so I repaired it with Explorer.exe. But  due to some spelling mistake now I can log in in Win Xp. When the user log in screen appears and I choose the account its automatically logOff and return to the User Log in screen.
    Now I have to repair the spelling mistake in registry key.
    Please inform How can I do this. I can't log in so I can't use "Regedit". Can it is possible to edit the registry using recovery console?
    Thanks & regards
    nitin

    Step 1
    Type "cd %systemroot%/system32/" into the command prompt to go to the folder that contains the Registry Editor.
    Step 2
    Type "reg" into the command prompt to display a list of parameters and instructions on how to edit the system registry.
    Step 3
    Type "reg [parameter] /?", replacing "[parameter]" with one of the listed parameters, into the command prompt to list all available functions that can be used with that parameter.
    Step 4
    Type "reg [parameter] [function]" into the command line, but replace "[parameter]" with one of the listed parameters (query, add, delete, copy, etc.) and "[function]" with a function listed above, along with any additional options
    for each function. For example, to delete a registry key, type "reg delete [rootkey]\[keyname]", replacing the "[rootkey]\[keyname]" text with the location of the registry key.
    Step 5
    Save a registry key by typing "reg save [rootkey]\[keyname] [filename].hiv", where the "[rootkey]" and "[keyname]" text are the location and name of the registry file and "[filename]" is the name of the file to which
    you are saving the key.
    Step 6
    Restore a registry key by typing "reg restore [rootkey]\[keyname] [filename].hiv", where the "[rootkey]" and "[keyname]" text are the location and key name that you want to restore and "[filename]" is the name of the
    file containing the saved key.
    Step 7
    Import a "REG" file by typing "reg import [filename].reg". To export a registry key to a "REG" file, type "reg export [rootkey]\[keyname] [filename].hiv", where the "[rootkey]" and "[keyname]" text
    are the location and key name that you want to export and "[filename]" is the name of the "REG" file you are exporting.

  • How to edit the WSDL

    I noticed a few limitations of an automatically generated web service
    under WLS 7.0, and I am wondering if there is a way to manually edit
    files to overcome these limitations:
    - the parameter names have no meaningful names, such as string0,
    string1, etc. This needs to be changed to at least use the names given
    to the parameters in the EJB. I remember putting in a CR a while back,
    but this has not been implemented yet.
    - The documentation field says 'todo'. It would be nice to be able to
    add some explanatory text there.
    I looked for the WSDL file in the web-services.war file but could not
    find it. Any pointers as to whether/how this stuff can be edited?
    Thanks,
    Joop Kaashoek

    Indeed, you can do this. But if you have non-built in data types as paramaters
    it gets pretty tricky.

    I see. No, I don't work in "development" or have any knowledge of what
    features are

    division, which is primarily tasked with figuring out (and showingothers) how the
    stuff works :-)
    Individuals from "development" (i.e. product managers, developers,architects, etc.)
    do monitor this newsgroup, so I think you should create another postthat has a subject
    like "Need static or JSP-based WSDL added back to .war". The subject forthis current
    post, sounded like you wanted to know how to edit the WSDL (which Ithink I answered
    to your satisfaction), but it sounds like you really just want acapability that
    was in WLS 6.1, back in WLS 7.0 :-)
    I'm assuming that you already know that you can extract the "static"WSDL from the
    client.jar and put it anywhere in the .war, you like. The context rootwill be the
    name of the .war file, without the file extension. For instance, if your.war file
    is hello.war, the context root will be hello. If you then put the"static" WSDL (which
    you extracted from the client.jar), into the root directory for for thisWeb Application,
    the URL to it would be something like:
    http://localhost:7001/hello/HelloService.wsdl

    technologies, we
    want to be able to publish a meaningful self-documented WSDL document(with
    meaningful
    parameter names and documentation) on our server, not as part of aweblogic-specific
    Java
    client jar.
    Can you indicate whether this is being worked on?

    Hi Joop,
    The assumption here, is that the client will download your client.jar(or whatever
    you named it in your <clientgen> Ant task), and use a file:// URL to
    access
    it (the
    "persisted" WSDL file) from within this archive :-)
    If you use the Web Services Technology Stack from BEA
    (lib\webserviceclient.jar)
    on the client-side, editing this file affects the construction of theSOAP message
    that is sent to the Web service, which I'm assuming is hosted on an
    instance
    of WLS
    7.0. The names for the input parameters (and return value), will be
    set
    to those
    that you specified in this WSDL, which is one of the things you said
    you
    wanted to
    be able to do.
    If you don't use the Web Services Technology Stack from BEA on the
    client-side,
    there
    is still a very high probability that the WSDL processor of the tool
    you
    use, will
    use this WSDL to create the SOAP message sent to your web service,
    which
    again is
    assumed to be hosted on an instance of WLS 7.0.
    If you use the "dynamically generated" WSDL (as opposed to the one inthe client.jar),
    you will get the "generic" parameter names specified in it. The
    "dynamically
    generated"
    WSDL is accessed by concatenating "?WSDL" to the location attribute,
    of
    your <service>
    element.
    Make sense?

    Hi Joop,
    The "persisted" WSDL file is in the .jar file, for the client ;-)
    The name of this .jar file is set using either of the following:
    1. The clientJarName attribute, of the <client> sub-element for
    your
    <servicegen>
    task, or
    2. The clientJar attribute, of the <clientgen> task.
    The path leading to the .wsdl file, is determined by the value youassign
    to the

  • How to pass context based parameters to subquery?

    Hello to All!
    How to pass context based parameters to subquery of custom folder when I schedule workbook?
    Thanks, Oleg

    Hi Russ
    Yes, I've done this too. Basic SQL though will not allow the updating of a table inside a function, so we have to get clever. The trick is to use the PRAGMA AUTONOMOUS TRANSACTION command. Here's an example:
    FUNCTION UPDATE_MYTABLE(P_VALUE IN NUMBER)
    RETURN VARCHAR2 IS
    PRAGMA AUTONOMOUS_TRANSACTION;
    BEGIN
    UPDATE SCHEMA_OWNER.MY_TABLE SET MY_VALUE = P_VALUE;
    COMMIT;
    RETURN('Done');
    END UPDATE_TABLE;
    When the update has been completed the Discoverer worksheet will respond with 'Done'.
    Everyone: don't forget to grant EXECUTE on this function to all of the necessary users, including the EUL owner, and also don't forget to import the function using the Admin edition so that it is available for the users. You will also need to make sure that all necessary users have been granted the UPDATE privilege on the table.
    I hope this helps
    Regards
    Michael

  • How to Edit in ALV?

    Hi Experts,
    I am working on a BAPI for creating Requsition where i am taking one ref PR and then modifying required details and then creating a new PR.
    Everything is working fine but before creating the new PR i want to display that data in the form of alv grid and where i can edit the values and save then a new PR will be created as per modification on alv.
    check the sample code wht i hv done....

    what i want is before calling BAPI_REQUISITION_CREATE  i need to display it_eban as alv and then where i can edit the values and save and that values will move to T_REQUISITION_ITEMS table. no need of hard cording Plant and purch. grop and storage location details. I know how to display the ALV grid just tell me how to edit in ALV and when i cllick save it shold move to BAPI_REQUISITION_CREATE.
    its an urgent...

    Right-click the WINDOWS desktop, choose New->Microsoft Data Link. That will bring up a dialog that allows you to configure and test your database connection. You might connect to the Access database via ODBC or directly via Jet Engine. The Jet Enginge saves you the trouble of creating an ODBC connection on your PC. After you leave the dialog, the "data link" will show up on your desktop as text file. Open it and copy-paste the connection string to your VI.
    This webpage is an excellent resource for connection strings: http://www.able-consulting.com/ADO_Conn.htm
    If your application requires users to change the database connection at runtime, you can also include the dialog via ActiveX (MSDASC.IDataSourceLocator).

    return ...
    Thanks in advance.

    I think you'll need to use XMLType and then extract the DOM inside java..
    create or replace package SAXLOADER
    as
      procedure LOAD(P_PARAMETERS XMLTYPE, P_DATASOURCE BFILE);
    end;
    create or replace package body SAXLOADER
    as
    procedure LOAD(P_PARAMETERS XMLTYPE, P_DATASOURCE BFILE)
    AS
    LANGUAGE JAVA
    NAME 'com.oracle.st.xmldb.pm.saxLoader.SaxProcessor.saxLoader ( oracle.xdb.XMLType, oracle.sql.BFILE)';
    end;
      public static void saxLoader(XMLType parameterSettings, BFILE dataSource)
      throws Exception {
        Document parameters = parameterSettings.getDocument();
        SaxProcessor app = new SaxProcessor(parameters);
        app.processXMLFile(dataSource);
