How to Enable Authentication to Selected Users

1. How to enable SAP and AD authentication only for selected users in infoview login page ?
2. How to disable(remove) enterprise options in down arrow selection in infoview login page for some users?
We have to make some changes in web.xml?
Can anyone help me out.

You have to enable authentication for your application.
However, for the public pages, you disable this by setting the page's security attribute Authentication to "Page is public".

we recently upgraded to R12 -- 12.1.3.
we have a requirement in which I should let the users select multiple records in a tabular Form (custom form).
Currently we have a custom form that displays Open sales orders with credit holds. After selecting the record, the user can release the hold on the order by clicking on a button. The requirement is for enabling selection of multiple records and release.
We have a similary functionality in 'Quick Sales Orders' form. In this form, multiple lines can be selected by pressing 'CTL' and clicking on the records.
I read about using APP_MULTI for this. But I couldnt figure out how to enable the multiple selection.
If someone could throw some light on this, it would be greatly helpful

ASA enable authentication for AD user by ACS TACACS fails

In order to authorize command on ASA8.x for different users, I have to put 'aaa authentication enable console TACACS' into ASA configuration, and in ACS - user setup - TACACS+ enable password - Use separate password, I set an enable password.
It works fine for ACS local users, they are able to get into priv EXEC mode by entering 'enable' command and use my pre-set password, however, the password doesn't work for AD user.
So, how to setup enable authorization for AD user?
Or is there a way to drop a user directly into level 15 on ASA just like it on router?

I have run into a similar situation. I just want to authenticate via TACACS to enable mode in an ssh session. After using the "aaa authentication enable console TACACS LOCAL" command on the ASA, the ACS server rejects the password.
I have tried everything I can think of on the ACS as far as "TACACS+ enable password" using both a windows database or a separate password, and PIX/ASA command sets. I cannot go into enable mode unless I set the ASA to LOCAL authentication, which just uses the globally defined enable password.

How to enable printer range selection in printer Dialog?

If you set up a JFileChooser dialog you can set the setMultiSelectionEnabled to true then the JFileChooser returns an array of files.
eg.

Well then you could have a state machine, where you go to the "Menu Selected" state when the event is generated. Or you can choose to go to that state in your application whenever you want. Now you don't have code duplication and have once case that handles doing the work, and you can get there from multiple methods.

How to enable a low privilege user to run an administrative script ?

I have a problem which seems to come from the lack of "sudo" in Windows.
I want standard low privileges users to be enable to run a script that will give them a result (i-e DB status on Exchange). I don't want to give them any right, so the only solutions i think about are
- to make a scheduled task on a server, and give them only the right to launch the task (but i'd prefer them not to be able to log on the server, so i don't like it)
- To create a webpage (ASP.NET, i guess) that runs the script when they click a button. I'm not a dev, i won't be able to do it easily but i think i will have to.
Do you have better ideas please ?

i would like to enable the notification preference for a user using self service form but do not know where.
i did search in system profile for a particular user but could not find it.
here is the error
The notification with the ID of 66182 experienced problems when attempting to dispatch an email notification to the role USER_NAME. Subsequently the notification preference for the following users has been set to DISABLED. Please correct the issue and re-enable their notification preference.
i know that i can update using sqlplus but prefer the method using self service form.
please advise.

How can we make the selected Debug User Agent Netscape 7.0 stick?

To get into http://gap.com I have to go to the Debug menu, choose User Agent and choose Netscape 7.0.
It works Ok.
Then I quit Safari. Get back into Safari. User Agent is back to Automatically Chosen, and gap.com to not working.
How can we make the selected User Agent stick?

Unfortunately, I don't think there is an automated way of going about this. To begin with, the 'Debug' menu was never meant to be user accessible in the most common context.
However, that said, you could lessen the pain by assigning a keyboard shortcut to the 'Netscape 7.0' menu-item in the 'Keyboard & Mouse' preference pane (under the 'Keyboard Shortcuts' tab). Hope that helps, somewhat.

I hope u had gone to the screen fields which u want them not to be editable. So there u select all the fields contents which u do not want to to be changed and check the boxes with W.content and Display and save it. Once evrything is done u have to activate the particular transcation going in to the standard variants and put the name and click the activate button.

First create a attribute with the name readonly of type wdy_boolean and bind it read_only property of input field of which is you want to enable or disable.
Next go to Init method.
Set the readonly value as 'X'.

As per I understand your requirement,
In your Dashboard create a Presentation variable which receives the value of year you select.
Now in your analysis, select the year column along with all the measures you want (Actual, plan, Forecast, and what-if, etc).
Create a filter on Year column and convert it into SQL. Put the condition as:
"Year" BETWEEN @{Presentaion_Variable} - 1 AND @{Presentation_Variable}
You will get the result for selected year and the previous year.

Take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried.
1. If you've recently plugged anything into the audio-out (headphone) port, plug and unplug it a couple of times.
2. From the menu bar, select
 ▹ System Preferences ▹ Sound ▹ Output
Check the settings. The internal speakers should be selected as the output device, the Mute box should not be checked, and the volume slider should be at least halfway to the right.
3. Look inside the headphone port. If a red light is coming from the port, the internal switch is stuck in the position for digital output. You may be able to free it by inserting and removing a headphone mini-stereo jack of the proper size.Inserting any kind of tool in the port may cause damage that won't be covered by your warranty.
4. Boot in safe mode by holding down the shift key at the startup chime. It will take much longer than usual. You don't have to log in; just reboot as usual (without holding any keys) when the login screen appears. (Note: If FileVault is enabled under OS X 10.7 or later, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t boot in safe mode.)
5. Reset the NVRAM.
6. Reset the SMC.
7. Reinstall OS X after backing up all data as a precaution. You won't need your backup unless something goes wrong.
8. Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store.
Back up all data on the internal drive(s) before you hand over your computer to anyone. If privacy is a concern, erase the data partition(s) with the option to write zeros* (do this only if you have at least two complete, independent backups, and you know how to restore to bare metal from any of them.) Don’t erase the recovery partition, if present.
