How to encrypt the data in a form?

Hi, everyone!
I want to encrypted the data in a html form
sent to a JSP/Servlet (using POST method).
For example, password.
How to do it? Are there some sample codes or
guides?

About the only way you could accomplish this completely on the client side is with JavaScript. But, that wouldn't be very secure as your encryption code would be publicly visible. If you want the data encrypted before it's sent to the server, you need to use SSL and the HTTPS protocol.

Hi,
I have created an Adobe form through SFP transaction and a print program which passes data to the form through an internal table. The probelm is, first time the data is getting printed perfectly as per the internal table, but next time when I again run the program for new set of data, the form doesn't display the current data. It still has previous data in it, though the internal table contains the correct data. Can any one tell me why this is happening? Is there any way to refresh the adobe form data?

Hi Experts,
I would like to do like,
for example in the oracle form has two fields called
start data(DD-MON-YY)
end date(DD-MON-YY)
but actullay i would like to have like
start date(DD-MON-YY HH24:MI:SS)
end date(DD-MON-YY HH24:MI:SS)
It can be done through forms personalization?
we are using Apps 11.5.8.

Try using FORMAT_MASK property in Forms personalization
Property name - FORMAT_MASK
Value - DD-MON-YYYY HH24:MI:SS

It's hard to know what logic you are trying to implement.
However, by looking at your code, it seems that if the user select 'Yes' to the question "Do you want to refresh", nothing is done except the go_block('wet_criterias'). Should there be an 'Execute_Query' ?
No idea...

You could go to System - User Profile - Own Data would take you to the "maintain user profile screen"
Click the defaults button and change the date format.This changes date format for all the dates in your login.

1) Instead of personalization, set ICX: Date format mask profile appropriately using sysadmin responsibility at the appropriate level.
2) If you have to use this new format just for one form, then use personalization to set the profile option in the when-new-form-instance. But unsetting it will be a problem.
I recommend option 1 above.

well, the spatial api would not be able to handle this data anymore, so what you are trying to do is converting an SDO_GEOMETRY to some cryptable user type (see http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/appdev.102/b14258/d_crypto.htm#sthref1506) and encrypting this.
Before using the SDO_GEOMETRY type will have to decrypt and reconvert it again and pass it to the spatial query or function.

There are lots and lots of traps you can fall into when talking about encryption of data. I don't have a clue what a SIP phone is but assuming that your program is Java based then you need to do a lot of background reading. A good starting point is "Beginning Cryptography with Java" by David Hook published by Wrox.

There are other forms of file-based protection offered for mobile devices (SAP Afaria) and by other software vendors to secure the end deliverable (e.g. Adobe for 3D PDFs). In addition, SAP's partner NextLabs offers a very comprehensive solution to automate the security of your sensitive information and even provide expiration dating.
In addition to file protection, 3D Visual Enterprise includes a function to obfuscate the geometry itself thereby making reverse engineering almost impossible. The "Randomize Objects" function can be used to randomly skew the vertices of the model by small amounts. It keeps the normals correct, however, so that the object still looks smooth. This in turn makes precise measurements extremely difficult.

For example, I posted an article on a news site, but found that only a small part of my article was posted.

I'm not sure whether Firefox saved that information. There is a chance that it is in the session history file, especially if you haven't closed that tab yet. To check that:
Open your currently active Firefox settings folder (AKA your Firefox profile folder) using
Help > Troubleshooting Information > "Show Folder" button
Find all files starting with the name sessionstore and copy them to a safe working location (e.g., your documents folder). In order to read a .js file, it is useful to rename it to a .txt file. Or you could drag it to Wordpad or your favorite word processing software.
The script will look somewhat like gibberish, but if you search for a word in your article that doesn't normally appear in web pages, you may be able to find your data.
